Vesper Sporting Club - Center City

Went to the Brunch Party. So it's kind of funny the transition. At first you walk in and everyone's chilling it's like 1 p.m. white table cloths - by the time we left we were all lit having a good time. The music definitely got louder and the room darker. They bring you champagne bottles which I prefer for bottomless mimosas so I don't have to hunt anyone down. For a bottle, they had like this tray of shot glasses which you don't see too often which is good for sharing and cute presentation. The food was meh but I have to say the curry cauliflower was way better than I expected. It's like air fried cauliflower with this buttery somewhat creamy sauce - not spicy. My friends weren't a big fan of the chicken strips and waffles (no seasoning, a bit cardboard tasting) but let's face it - we're there for the turn up not the food. Suggestion: better furniture. I didn't like that all the tables were the same height and we were like all sitting in what felt like a lunchroom. They were very low and cheap. As everyone got more lit people sat on the top of the booths which gave the room a bit more dimension which I preferred for a party vibe. You can elevate some of the sections on a platform or add some high tops. Also, the bathrooms need assistance. You are better off hiring a bathroom attendant instead of having bouncers just monitoring the area. No toilet paper in some, no hand soap in some, and just raggedy and unclean. A renovation, repaint or something is needed. Like there's no way anyone restocked those bathrooms to be running out of hand soap at 2 pm.

First time visiting the dining club establishment and it did not disappoint. The food was surprisingly good and we especially liked our flavorful appetizers. We ordered the firecracker fried shrimp (so good!), curry cauliflower (yum!), and crab dip (my fave!). Our entrées included the spicy rigatoni and the bulgogi beef fried rice. Felt like the appetizers were a hit and the entrées not as much but still pretty good. They were missing a little something like maybe a protein in the rigatoni and some spice or sesame oil in the fried rice. Not only can you eat here, you can dance here! The music was so poppin' we couldn't stop doing our happy dance while eating By the time it hit 10:30/11p, the dining area cleared up to make space for the dance floor and that filled up fast. We went upstairs and were amazed to find another dance floor with EDM. Though we ended our night fairly early, this experience was one for the books :)Thank you Taylor, Elena, and Rebecca for making our night fun and memorable!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I booked a large dinner party for my sister's surprise birthday party. I booked it a month in advanced, paid the deposit, communicated with Gia the event coordinator several times. I received a text a couple days before confirming my reservation to have all my guests show up to a CLOSED venue! I received no call, email, or text from Vesper. I called them several times to no avail. My friends and family were scrambling to find a place that would accommodate 16 people on a Saturday night. 2 days later, still received no call or apologies from Vesper. I finally emailed Gia about the situation and all she said was sorry with no explanation, besides that the hostess was supposed to call me. I explained how upset I was because it was for a surprise birthday party and not just for a night out. She said she would refund me and provide me with a gift card. I did receive a refund BUT DID NOT receive a gift card. Absolutely horrible customer service!!

This place was weird hahaha. I came here for a friends birthday brunch and it felt like I was back in college! If you like ratchet, this is the place to come. Old school music, champagne just going around, and old people dancing like no tomorrow.Our table wasn't big enough for our group, so a few of us sat up on the ledge. The food takes a while to come out, and its just okay. They surprisingly have a decent menu!I also realized they were low on staff members, I felt bad for the two servers who were basically trying their best to please everyone

Been here a bunch for various reasons and it never disappointed. Watched a Sixers playoff game here, Phillies regular season game (because you know they NEVER freaking make the playoffs), and an Eagles game here. Probably one of the best environments in town to watch a game. Also been here for a night out. Got bottle service and partied til last call. Saw a couple celebrities and Philly sports athletes. Even got to see the infamous air cannon over the dance area. Good times, highly recommend!

This past weekend I went o Vesper for dinner and dancing and had a really good time. We started on the second floor where our Server Ryan took really good care of us. I ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls and turkey burger with fries and I devoured it all. Someone at the table ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and they were almost as good as Bone Fish Grill.Our party was later escorted to our table in the nightclub area where our attendant Angel provided us with a bottle service menu and completed our table setup. She was attentive and friendly which allowed us to enjoy our evening.

Absolutely horrible!!!! Food service place smelled mildew water all over floor wet towels fans not working. Overbooked went with a party of 22. On website stated 12 promptly we had to stand outside for 30 plus minutes before even allowed entry. Was told they had a minor leak. Far from minor water everywhere downstairs was seated upstairs one bar tender was given very little food.. Staff clueless no owner no manager food was cold and served on little saucers. Upon leaving parties arguing with security guns were drawn by security. Terrible terrible experience. Will NEVER RETURN OR REFER TO ANYONE. Last but not least attendee fell down steps because of the steps being wet a waste of money and time

My birthday brunch was canceled at the start time of the brunch on June 9th, I was promised a full refund and have not been able to get ahold of anyone since then. I came from a little distance and drove there on the 9th just to completely waste my time. The line just constantly rings. I have texted the booking number, messaged on "open table" several times and called for days with no response to any. 0/10 don't recommend! You will be wasting your time

1. Server didn't subtract $220 deposit from our bill, so I was charged an extra $220; scam (attempted to contact Vesper for a week by text, call and email with no response) 2. We didn't receive an itemized receipt for items charged, fees, gratuity, tax, deposit redeemed, etc. (the receipt that confirms 20% gratuity is included in the bill and deposit was subtracted; This is a tactic servers often use to get tipped twice 3. The establishment still appeared closed past 12:30pm although the event starts at 12pm (chairs upside down on bars, curtain in front of host stand closed, staff neglectful, no one greeted or offered to help until we walked behind the curtain) 4. Your party can't be seated or start the mimosa package until your entire party has arrived even though you're charged a $50 min for each person in your party regardless; tactic to slow down liquor flow and make extra money 5. 10+ mins after being seated, still no server approached our table. We had to notify the host stand and request a server 6. We kept running out of champagne and having to hunt down the server. We were brought 1 bottle at a time for 11 people and had to request 2 at a time. (Tactic to slow down liquor). The guy working picked up our server's slack and started getting us bottles quicker and clearing the table. 7. Our eggs came out after we already finished eating brunch, not with the rest of our food. 8. The unlimited mimosa package is worth it and the party is fun but the customer service wasn't good. 9. We were told our reservation would be cancelled with no deposit refund if the entire party didn't arrive by 1pm even though you're charged a $50 min for each person in your party regardless

I just wanted to take the time to point out that Paige at Vesper is the absolute best manager. She was fully transparent about the 2nd brunch that day being the first time they offered it. She gave me additional options to rebook my birthday brunch, and made sure I enjoyed the remainder of my time there. She was an absolute joy and made me laugh throughout the ordeal. All the other staff I met that day were very pleasant as well. I'm looking forward to celebrating again this weekend.
