The food was really great (I'd been craving indochinese food and this hit the spot!) I loved that they offered complimentary masala fries in the beginning--they were the highlight! The place had a fancy ambiance with quick service and great food, however, it's definitely on the pricier end. While the food is good, it doesn't necessarily feel worth it for the price thought it could be a fun experience!

I was extremely skeptical after reading Yelp reviews of this place but I'm happy to report I had a great time here. Service was extremely attentive and the food overall was delicious. It's strange that the menu online was different from the restaurant though. My favorite bites were the pani puri and steak. The entree portions were a bit small for the price but i had a gift card which helped to offset the cost a bit. It was also weirdly humid inside- like no air ventilation or AC, so had to dock some brownie points for that. Overall food was delicious but definitely on the pricier side.

My recent experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. I made a reservation for my family's Mother's Day brunch well in advance, only to have it abruptly cancelled by the restaurant via OpenTable just days before the event, without any explanation. I was never contacted directly about the cancellation; I only discovered it when checking the app. This was particularly frustrating as my mother had been eager to try this establishment for some time, and finding an available reservation for Mother's Day was already a challenge. To hedge our bets, I also booked a reservation for the day before in case Sunday didn't pan out. Unfortunately, my mother fell ill, prompting me to cancel this reservation more than a day in advance. However, the individual I spoke with was not only unhelpful but also rude, insisting that the reservation couldn't be cancelled and that I would incur a $50 no-show fee. Despite pointing out OpenTable's policy allowing cancellations up to one day before without charge, they remained adamant.Even after contacting OpenTable directly and confirming the restaurant's obligation to cancel, the restaurant still charged the fee. This experience was marked by poor customer service and a lack of familiarity with their own policies. It's clear that there's a need for improved training and communication among the staff regarding OpenTable procedures. Disappointing to say the least.

Came here on a Tuesday evening for a reservation at 5:30pm, right when it opened. Ambiance is darker inside, we were one of two tables of guests during our time there. I loved that they had good non-alcoholic options, offering mango and lychee just like the alcoholic drinks. They brought us fries on the house and we ordered the Kolkata Streets chat, both which came in the unique car / bike serving items.

I came here during restaurant week and the way it was set up between multiple people didn't really make sense to me. You pay $49 a person for the menu but they say they portion it by party size but I'm unsure how true that is. The food was decent. I don't think I would come here if it wasn't discounted. Also, the sangria was disgusting. Some of the worst I have ever had.

Very disappointing and way overpriced! We went there for dinner but there was barely anyone else. To start off, we ordered Pani puri margarita - it was too bitter and strong and seemed to have a lot of different flavors. Next, we ordered kolkata streets, an appetizer that was too spicy. We also ordered Hakka Chowmein with chicken as the mains. The chicken seemed a bit stale and smelly. Service was prompt and we were able to redeem our check-in offer of a free dessert- mango flan. Overall experience was not pleasant.Note- 20% gratuity is added by default for everyone dining in, including party of 1

Food is amazing but service is not very great. Also was very shocked with the ambiance - it is below average. I guess will not visit again because of the boring ambiance.

As someone who loves indo-chinese cuisine, I was definitely excited to try this place.I came here for my birthday dinner. The restaurant is cute, the servers were super attentive, and it wasn't crazy busy. It was really easy to get a large table reservation. For drinks, the caipirinha was good, the pani puri marg tasted just like actually pani and was delicious, the bombay drink was nice and spicy, and the mango mojito was a group fave. The masala fries were delicious.I got the gobi manchurian, while not the best I've had, definitely hit my craving. We also got the masala fried rice which was good but tasted like regular fried rice.My friends got the wedding banquet which they enjoyed, heads up, it takes about an hour to make. Others got the whats your beef, hakka chicken, fried rice, and the soup. Overall, nice place with decent food. My company probably made it better but would definitely come back the next time I'm craving indo-chinese.

Came here on a Tuesday night, and it was wide open for availability.I got the lamb and the fried chicken. I thought the lamb was excellent, the chicken was also pretty good (spicy) but I probably would get the lamb again and skip the chicken.

This restaurant is interesting to say the least. I was surprised because it presents itself like it's a hot place but when my friend and I walked in, there was no one. They do require reservations and you have to put your card down. Canceling less than 24 hours also results in being charged per person, and that seems unnecessary considering it was empty on a Friday evening. The service was nice, except that we were told it was happy hour and drinks/apps were half off but they were full price on the bill. I ordered a mango mint mojito fizz mocktail and my friend got an alcoholic beverage he said was good. Kinda weird they don't have just like classic mango lassi? For apps, we shared the Kolkata streets which was a chaat and it was really flavorful and with a great kick. If you don't eat spicy food, don't get this. The masala fries were good too. The presentation on the apps is very cute. For entrees, my friend got the Manchurian Gobi and I got the Hakka chili chicken. For whatever reason I assumed it came with noodles but it didn't. The server did recommend steamed rice so we got that to go with our entrees. The food was good., I think portion size was good for one person but not necessarily good if you're sharing. We didn't try the dessert but it seemed like it would be really good. All the names of the menu items were funny. The draw to coming here was the indochinese fusion because my friend and I love that. Also, it had good vegan options available which was good because my friend is vegan and it's surprisingly hard to find good mixed restaurants here in Chicago. Overall, it was really pricey though, considering what we got, and because they weren't entirely honest about their happy hour or lack thereof. Also it seemed like the restaurant was very try hard and just..stuffy? I liked the music though -- solid playlist. Food: 4/5Knocked down 1 star because of the pricing inconsistencies and weird vibes
