Excellent pizza, salads, and service today. Casual atmosphere. The server was a bit stretched as she seemed to be alone while we witnessed others standing around. We didn't feel the pain. There was some hesitation as to who was to wait on us.

The restaurant has the old school vibe and I really liked it. The waitress was extremely attentive and got the food quickly. I had the lasagna and a Caesar salad. The salad was overall very good but the lasagna was amazing. It had a great balance of flavor and not too much cheese. My first time visiting and it will not be my last for sure.

The BEST pizza in the Clayton area. Venero's not only offers the best pizza in Clayton NC, they have a menu filled with all the true Italian entrees not found anywhere else. You not only get it your way, every entree is prepared with the highest quality ingredients. I don't have an over complicated palate, but I know mediocre when I see and taste it and refuse to entertain mediocre. I return to Venero's weekly because it's top shelf, personalized dining. On top of all that you are treated like family and family always comes first! You deserve the best Clayton has to offer for Italian dining, let Venero's give you what you deserve Cheers!

Upon arrival, it was crowded. Waited for approximately12 minutes to be served. Once seated, you will feel like you're in another dimension. It's just an out of place feeling if you're not local. However my calzone was very very good. I would come back again. Loud family restaurant.

Unpretentious place on 70, with solid food. We went during a slow time and sat outside on an unusually warm day. 70 does get busy and loud, but it was our choice. I had a 10" meatball pizza. The crust was thin and nicely crisp, sauce was very good and they gave a very nice portion of shaved meatballs which allowed you to get some on every bite. Attentive but casual service.In hindsight I should have ordered a pizza to go so I had some to reheat at home!

I had the lasagna and it's so delicious. The portions are very generous. The pizza crust is some of my favorite and I love the ambiance including Dean Martin on wave lengths. The service is wonderful too.

Quaint local restaurant off of HWY 70 in Clayton. My husband and I have been gotten to-go orders here several times. The service is fast and friendly. I would recommend the calamari with a side of spicy sauce, the garlic knots, and the Lisa pizza.

Oh my goodness.....after looking for a GOOD Italian restaurant for a very long time my husband and I decided to try Venero's Pizzeria. The food is absolutely delicious!!! Old school home made from scratch taste. I am really so happy to have found a place where the food is exceptional (Lasagna, Stuffed Mushrooms, Caesar Salad, House Wine and Chocolate Cannoli) The service was also great (Thank You Sophia) and the prices are very reasonable. This restaurant has just become our "GO TO" place!!!! It really is THE BEST!!!

Inside restaurant was nasty and smelled like a dirty diaper in the main indoor dining area. Me and my wife were grossed out and had to leave before we could order anything. Outdoor seating and bar in the back looked much nicer than the main dining room. Was nasty.
