Utica bakery

As a former resident of utica- I approve. The goodies are divine and true! I had the BEST experience. I went today to pick up my Italian Rum Cake- of course I came too early. The employees were so kind that they called and had the cake brought early! Everything is so doggone good- I can't tell what my favorite is! Edit- I drove all the way from Charlotte for this and can't wait to do it again!

I loved my first visit to Utica Bakery! We tried the flatbread, quiche, eclair and moon cookies. The quiche was truly phenomenal! We devoured every bite and couldn't believe how tasty it was. We were hoping to try the tomato pie or cheesecake but by the time we got there both were sold out. If you go plan to go early. They said it often sells out by noon but you can call ahead the night before or reserve one from Facebook. We'll definitely do this next time to try!

This is a very hard review for me because I WANT to love this place - like really really want to. I am from the Utica, NY area - my first real job was working in an Italian bakery there for a few years, and I grew up eating these kinds of amazing pastries & Italian goodies. The staff at Utica bakery has always been super friendly and they use quality ingredients. If I could give half stars, I would rate 3.5, but for these reasons, I bumped them from a 3 to a 4 stars. We have had tried almost everything (literally) they offer. I'll start with my favorites:1. Halfmoon cookie - this is a really outstanding and Utica bakery makes one of my favorites I've ever had - that includes the original one from Hemstrought's bakery in Utica. Soft, moist & flavorful cake with fudgy chocolate frosting and light and creamy vanilla frosting that's not too sweet. 2. Chocolate chip cookie - this cookie is massive! It was loaded with chocolate chips and walnuts and had an excellent texture of soft and chewy inside with that tiny bit of crunch on the outside. 3. Stromboli - I've had a few different ones from them now including pepperoni, sausage & peppers, and rueben. All of them have a good amount of filing, are baked to perfection, and simply a tasty on the go food. I will offer a few hopefully constructive criticisms - a few times now the cookies I've purchased have tasted stale/old/dry. Also, I absolutely loved the Italian bread at first, but the last few times in 2021 I've purchased, it does not taste the same. I'm unsure if they changed their recipe or what, but something seems quite different. Lastly, would love more sauce added to the tomato pie and the shell to be cooked more for a ever so slightly crisp bottom/edge. The flavors are there, but the texture I find off. If I wasn't comparing my years and years of having a plethora of amazing Utica/Italian pastries, I would certainly have a different opinion. Utica bakery's offerings are good and definitely can fulfill a hometown craving for me from time to time.

We came to this bakery for a snack because the reviews looked too good to ignore. The location is a picturesque trailer on a side street. You can see many of the baked goods through a window and the staff is quick to get you your order. We ordered an almond creme croissant and a piece of chocolate zucchini bread. They threw in a day old pastry for free, which was very nice. The croissant tasted fresh and the pastry layers were defined, the almond topping wasn't too sweet. The zucchini bread was the perfect level of soft texture and the sweetness was just right with the chocolate chips. Plus the slice was massive. The day old pastry was a thick cookie-like dough filled with a blueberry jam and was awesome!Next time, we'd like to try more savory items, like a quiche, but overall a great place to get pastries.

This place is amazing! Everything is baked fresh and served from a converted camper. They have cannolis, lobster tails, pastry puffs, cheesecake and more....everything I've tried is delicious! I also got a loaf of bread.The only downside is the limited hours but it just makes it more special when they're open.FYI when you turn on the street you'll see a brick building and you'll expect it to be in there..:keep driving and you'll see the adorable camper. Parking is across the street.

The best Italian bakery on wheels in Apex. They have the best cannolis and lobster tails. So bummed they will be closing shop. Please support this great bakery before they are gone.

I'm literally speechless. I grew up in Philadelphia and "tomato pie" is a staple in that area. I left Philly nearly 20 years ago and I've never seen it since. I stumble upon Utica and tomato pie is on the menu... decided to give it a try. Guys, you nailed it! I mean this is SPOT ON Corropolese style! The taste is exactly how I remembered it and the quality is SPOT ON! You will see me weekly for this! Bravo!!!

All the buzz on every foodie page on Facebook is about Utica. I've even read about people driving hours to buy their delicious baked goods. Amazing!My spouse visited while I was recuperating from surgery so I just waited in the car. I guess you can't really see the items until after you order and purchase, which is kind of weird, but it's a trailer, not a store front. Hopefully with the following they have an actual brick and mortar won't be far off.Everything she purchased was delicious and incredibly HUGE! The eclairs that have a delicious chocolate frosting on top were stuffed full with custard and enormous. The almond croissants are so good I nearly screamed and again, massive! Nothing was less than very tasty.I understand the lines are getting longer all the time and I want to be at the head of it next time we visit!

The baked goods at Utica Bakery are delicious. I drove across town to give them a try after hearing about it recently. The bakery is just open three days a week and they do sell out of items. I ordered a chocolate eclair with custard (it was huge); meatball cookies and an assortment of cookies. Everything was so good that I am planning a return trip to try other items on the menu.

Love this Italian/European style bakery. They have cannolis, cream puffs, chocolate eclairs, cookies, and more. The bakery is almost like a food truck where you walk up to the window to order. Everything I ordered was so tasty and not too sweet!
