--------(REVIEW UPDATE)---------I've come here multiple times for dinner and special occasions. This time I had an amazing experience - great dining environment and friendly workers there. Food is so flavorful and authentic, we got several dishes like:- Peking roast duck- Spicy chongqin chicken- Spicy beef tendon- Sweet and sour spare ribs- Dragon eggplant in spicy garlic sauce- Shredded chicken/pork in spicy garlic sauce- Double cooked porkEvery single dish was amazing but I highly recommends the Peking roast duck, Dragon eggplant in spicy garlic sauce, and double cooked pork. These were my favorite out of the entire meal we had.--------(BELOW AS OF MAY 2024)---------Overall the restaurant is spacious and has great environment in the central downtown. Food is good but definitely pricy, and more like small bites style for hangout or special occasionService is a little slow, but very nice space and environment to get together for a meal with group of friends.· dry fried eggplant: Not very crispy. The eggplant is thinner sliced than other restaurants, otherwise the seasoning is good· duck soup: very flavorful and infused with duck broth. I was expecting actual duck meat but there's only bits of it, there is glass noodle on the bottom.· Peking duck: flavor of Peking duck is good, though the skin isn't very crispy. I think it's not roasted enough because there's still a lot of fat in between the skin and meat. Make sure to ask for sugar if they didn't provide it, dipping the skin in sugar is a great combination to try· dry pot: very spicy and numbing, but good flavor and variety in the pot· Chop Bell Pepper Glass Noodle With fish: very authentic in flavor and appearance. An actual whole fish is presented, and the fish meat is very tender, infused with great flavor.- Peking duck roll: delicious but I feel like each roll has very minimal portion of duck. I would recommend getting a half duck instead, as you would get the same ingredients but with better price.- Lime shredded chicken: this dish feels quite refreshing with the hint of lime flavor, chicken isn't dry. Love the addition of cilantro to add another layer of refreshing flavor.- Cumin lamb: the cumin lab has a different presentation - it's on toothpicks like mini skewers. Portion wise it's a lot smaller than expected, and the plate is probably 80% seasoning and pepper rather than actual meat. Wouldn't recommend.- Sweet and sour spareribs: love the kick of sourness balanced with the sweetness of sauce.

Urban Hai is definitely authentic Chinese cuisine. The chef's special menu includes curdled duck blood soup, fried bullfrog, intestines and more. We decided to stick with the main menu and ordered the following with the respective ratings:Hot & Sour Soup 2/5Kung Pao Chicken 5/5Pan Fried Pork Dumplings 5/5Chicken stew in iron pot with bao buns 2/5The service was helpful and courteous. The ambiance is casual with mostly GA Tech students dining in. Check it out if you happen to be in the area and craving some good Chinese food!

This place has outstanding reviews but it just didn't do it for me.I called ahead of time to place an order for take-out. I should not have done that because it only took 10 minutes to prepare my meal but 20 minutes for me to get there. You will need to park in a parking garage and walk over. The venue validates parking so this will not be an extra charge. The place is spacious and looks extremely nice on the inside. I ordered the Half Pekking Roasted Duck. It comes with two duck soups, bowl of green veggies, some oyster sauce, and wraps. Everything tastes extremely fresh and look great. The duck is not seasoned at all. Nice dish but much more expensive than what it is worth.

Service was great. Our server Rita was extremely kind and helpful giving us several popular options that she recommended. We went with some classics such as Peaking duck, spicy Bok choy, and vegetable dumpling. The peaking duck was good. The vegetable dumpling was tasty but to soft and soggy. And the Bok Choy was okay, definitely had a kick of spice but wasn't fond of the flavor and that it wasn't chopped, I'd rather the baby Bok Choy got easier consumption.

I am a regular at Urban Hai and this is the first time I've received a wrong item. I will say, I really like Urban Hai. The service is always great and the food is as well. I'm disappointed that I did not get what I paid for but unfortunately I live 30 minutes away and could not take it back. This is partially my fault because I did not check the order before I left the restaurant.

Parking was difficult for this location, but we were seated fast. The service was super fast and our food came before some of our appetizers. The Wonton Soup was the only questionable dish. It had cilantro and raisins in it It didn't really taste good, but the other dishes were very good and fresh. I would recommend putting up all the inventory. No one wants to see your cases sitting on the counters and a sewing machine at the bar. It's not aesthetically appealing. The bar is crowded with all the cases of beverages. Good spot to try out if you are looking for something quick.

Back in Atlanta so that meant another trip to Urban Hai today. Once again the food was freaking gooooood! Have I mentioned their chili oil is delicious? Any way had the Szechuan chicken. Spicy goodness! A must try! The pork soup dumplings are also spot on. ( side note they take 20 mins) Had the crispy mushrooms as well. All in all another epic meal here. Till the next time! Hai!!!!!!

Accessible and modern, but also authentic Chinese food, which is a combination that is hard to find. Lots of space inside and clean interior. Our favorite dish was the grandma's noodles which was packed with flavor. Spiciness level of the dishes may be adjusted. We also ordered the soup buns. Make sureif you order these, you order them as soon as you sit down as they do take about 20 minutes to make. Our puff appetizer with a curry sauce was our second favorite dish. The orange chicken was also pretty good. I would come back to order more dishes. I was eyeing the flounder with bamboo dish and the fried mochi, but we really had no room left in our bellies after our delicious meal.
