Urban Bird Hot Chicken

There was a delay in receiving our food but it was worth it. The ambience is cool and this place would do great out in San Antonio.

If it was only for the food, I would give 4 stars but the service was lacking.Food is very tasty and PLENTY!! Great spice rub and flavor on everything from the slaw to the chicken.Service: took 20 minutes both times we've been, to get our food and we were two kids and an adult. One staffer was on top of things both times and the two other staffers we encountered, one was sleepy and slow and the other rude. If the service improved, this would be a great spot.

Food was pretty good at Urban Bird Hot Chicken but it was too expensive for what it was. There are some really good Nashville hot restaurants and this was pretty average. Very busy inside, though.

This was our 2nd visit in a week. It's that good!First visit we went with friends and family. 6 of us total. To go order. friends told me the chicken and waffles were amazing. I had the dry rub chicken tenders and fries. Wow. The fries are hot and fluffy and crispy And seasoned perfectly. The chicken was really good. Hot. Crispy. Yum. And the corn! Wowsa. It's so good. I wish it was a larger serving but it's so so good!The sauce choices were very good. Try their sriracha maple. it's a sweet kick. And the lemonade. I mean....this lemonade is better than CFA. And they offer flavored choices. I'll be back next week hoping to get a gallon of they sell it like that. I agree with the previous reviewer. Add more of those yummy pickles to the meals please. refreshing. Service was great. Both times we visited, all of our orders were correct and nothing was missing. For a newly opened place, no errors is a HUGE win!Gia took our order. She was professional and friendly. Thank you Gia for great service. The place is clean and offers plenty of seats. Glad they're new to our neighborhood!

Minus half a starLocation is okay. Not a lot of seating but okay amount for the location and amount of traffic coming through. Ambiance is muted light and little louder than average of talking volume. So it's nothing fancy or special they're chicken tender or chicken tender sandwiches that are okay at best. The sauce options that have actually have good spice. Sadly the Nashville hot option is nothing like what you get in Nashville. The pricing is a bit high for what you get and nothing is really filling. It's good to keep you satisfied if you know you have a big meal later in the day. Big mark of is they're "tip" amount option. They include the tax with the tip which everyone knows is not how tip goes. Tips are based off the price of something minus the tax. The percentage tipped is based off level of service. Coming to place that adds tax to suggested tips and don't provide a service anymore than a McDonald's or Chik-Fil-A I don't see the purpose for a tip here.

No sure what to think of this concept. Second time tried. As always give a place two chances to win a third. Bit just not feeling the vibe. The menu is just a cluster *uckery of fat fat fatty things. The sauces are all mediocre at best. The crinkle fries are always soggy. Chicken little over cooked and dried. Service was slow both days especially for how many people were working.03/02/2023. Brought my son as he seemed to like 2 tender basket but wasn't impressed this time around. We came. We tried.

We came in here to eat with six adults and two kids. You order at the counter and then sit down with a buzzer to wait as your food is prepared. We sat at a booth and a table since they did not have larger tables that you could easily push together, but did have plenty of booths and tables for seating.We grabbed some.menus to sit down and look over before heading back in line to order. They had more options at this location compared to the one on I-10, including street corn and a bunch of options to eat over fries. We ordered two kids meals - one plain chicken with waffles and fries and another BBQ chicken with fries. The other location did not let you add flavors to the chicken, but our server here did, so we went with BBQ since we figured it would not be spicy. Both kids got a fountain drink (they love the strawberry lemonade and mango lemonade) and a custard dessert which we picked up after they finished their meal. The adults ordered three tender baskets (mild, Nashville hot, and the next level up hot.) I love spicy, but Nashville Hot was as high as I could do. my sister loved how spicy hers was and I just took a small bite of it and it was too much. Lol. We also had two orders of the chicken over fries and Mac and cheese and it was delicious. The street corn was good and creamy, but the portion was small.compared to the other dishes. The tenders were juicy and were large strips of chicken, especially compared to many other places that have been undergoing shrinkflation and slowly decreasing the size of the tenders.There werent as many fries as the other location, but still a decent amount and very flavorful. There wasn't any ice in the ice machine while we were there, but they fixed it as we were on our way out. The cashier was nice and helpful. She let us know how to order and how to pick up the custard, how to pick up the food, etc., To make sure everyone knew how the place worked since it was still fairly new. There were boxes near the soda machine for you to box up your own leftovers. Four different flavors of lemonades to choose from (regular, blueberry, strawberry, and mango) and a basic selection of sodas. There were no trashcans for you to self-clean your tables. The cashier came around to bus the tables when the line was gone.

This was my first visit. I had no expectations. I just wanted a hot chicken sandwich. I bought four sandwiches, thre Nashville Hot & one mild. I was really disappointed. First, I was never greeted. It took a few minutes for someone to even take my order. But even then it was "what you want". I explained that this was my first time, and she offered no assistance with the menu. The lady who brought me my food, when I spoke to her, she just turned her head and walked away. Now the food. The chicken was over-breaded, overcooked and dry. Also, I've had better hot sauce out of the grocery store than what was on my chicken. The bread was soggy, & the kale slaw was wilted and water was in my slaw. This was an expensive meal did I could not eat. I seriously doubt I will visit again.

Absolutely amazing food & wonderful, friendly staff -Debbie & Louis were so kind!! The restaurant is nice and clean too!! I got the XTRA Hot Sando chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and the hot Cheetos Mac & cheese! Everything was fantastic and the heat was on point. Also, try the soft serve vanilla ice cream for dessert!! It's seriously amazing!!! Cannot wait to come back with friends & family!!!

I really wanted to love this place. Especially because we love hot chicken and wanted to find a good place near home. When we went to order the guy that was at the counter seemed so out of it. There was no hello, no have you been here before, can I offer a suggestion. The hospitality here is non existent. We ordered the mild and Nashville hot. It was okay, there was no flavor profile it was just spicy. Even the mild had no flavor. We got the mac and cheese and that was basically just cheese. Very few pieces of actual pasta. I also think that it was way overpriced, we paid ~$46 for 8 tenders, 1 toast, small Mac and cheese, and two ranch. Overall We wont return, purely because service is not welcoming, the food was not the best, overpriced.
