Uptown Grill Breakfast

I did not take any pictures but this place was perfect for a quick pick me up! It's the perfect diner food that you need on a Saturday or Sunday morning after a late night! The woman who took my order was extremely kind and the food was served quickly!

Food was on hot and flavorful. The staff was polite and helpful with my Togo order. This is a good spot to get breakfast early in the morning.

Food is service is fast. Place is sparkling clean. And the price is affordable for what you get.

If you're looking for a solid and good breakfast I would suggest Uptown Grill Breakfast. Don't look for ambience or anything quaint like coffee shop style, none of that. The restaurant is simple and basically clean. They have the cafeteria style booth seating that can seat four comfortably but possibly five if there are children. You can order your food to go or be seated in the restaurant and a server will come and take your order. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and shown I could choose any available seat and a server would be with me shortly. My server appeared within less than a minute to offer me a menu and something to drink. This is a small thing but I like the offer of plastic versus actual silverware. I don't mind plastic but some people only want silverware when eating. The food was really good and inexpensive. I ordered the two-piece pink cake with me that was approximately $5.00 I added a side of home fries for additional $2.50. The pancake had a beautiful brown color a nice texture and size. The home fries were traditional or standard a home fries sliced and kind of broken up with a firm crispiness, they were pretty good. My server was attentive, friendly and professional.My overall experience wasn't great but it's good enough for me to return sometime in the near future.

I just recently started working in the West Philly area. I was at work one day STARVING! I asked a good friend of mine whom lives close by to where I work at for good breakfast spots. She raved about this place. I decided to give it a try bc it's hard to mess up breakfast food. I called to place my French toast platter, cheese eggs with beef bacon in. The woman who took my order wasn't polite. When I walked inside too pick up my food, it was super busy. The cyst service skills was at a zero. The cashier was rude. Nobody responded back to me when I said "excuse me" or "thank you". Call me old fashion but I'm very big on manners. The food was okay at best. The interactions I got from the staff made me not want to go back. If you're like me and don't carry cash keep in mind that this is a cash only establishment. They have an atm machine in the building. But I don't like using random atms for obvious reasons. I don't care how hungry I am, next time I'll just eat crackers or chips to hold me over until lunch.

When you think of a real breakfast spot, not a "brunch spot" or a "diner," but like a place that specializes in feeding breakfast to the neighborhood --you think of a place like this. This is a real, authentic west philly Saturday morning neighborhood spot. They have a pretty large menu and everything, I mean everything, is reasonably priced. The service is friendly and quick enough. The place gets pretty packed on weekend mornings so get there early or expect a wait. Anyone reading this review from center city, university city or the burbs go out of your way to visit this spot so you can intermix with the locals who are friendly, jovial, and lively. You'll often overhear old friends running into each other or families celebrating birthdays. It's a great place that you should all check out.

I'm not from philly so I found this place on yelp. I was hungry after my flight and I wanted real food, this place didn't disappoint. The service was great and the food came out fast! I ordered scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and a cinnamon waffle, it tasted like you made it at home and enjoy that. Felt great after!

This has too be one of the "okay" breakfast spots in Philly. Normally I would order from Sunny Side on 60th and Market but they were over crowded so I decided to walk up the street and give them a try. So I decided to order the regular a bacon egg and cheese on potato bread lightly toasted with salt,pepper,ketchup, and mayo. So before I get to the worst part the bacon was undercooked. Also when I ate half of the sandwich it made me throw up. They did make it in a reasonable amount of time though I have to give them that.

Fast service good food great customer services you can't beat the breakfast prices. I would recommend Uptown Grill Breakfast

I love the food here. The service is always great but if you're going on a Saturday please be prepared to wait at least 30-45 minutes for your food. Also on the weekends they barely answer the phone because it's so crowded inside the restaurant.
