Uptown Beer Garden

Surprisingly, Thursday nights around 9 PM are not as busy as I expected them to be. This place is first come first served and we were seated right away. It did take some time to place our orders and we ultimately had to flag a server down, but once we had someone, they were attentive. I had the chicken tenders and fries and they weee decent. Food came out pretty quick. Kitchen closes at 10 PM, while the place stays open till 11 PM.

However, being in the Philly area, this is pretty much expected.The food was your typical bar fare. The onion rings were decent and met our expectations for a beer garden. As for the pricing and service, they were standard and didn't particularly stand out from any other typical beer garden.We visited during Halloween, and it was a bit chilly even in the indoor area. But we came prepared and dressed warmly.What really caught our attention was the decor. They had put a lot of effort into creating a "Stranger Things" vibe, which was quite impressive. It was fun taking pictures with all the Demogorgons! This added an element of excitement to our visit and made it memorable.Lastly, the location is great. Located right next to city hall it was a great place to start and bar hop to other locations. In conclusion, if you're looking for an average beer garden with a fun decor, Uptown Beer Garden could be a good choice.

Uptown Beer Garden is located in the heart of Philadelphia. It is one of the best places to go during Halloween and Christmas because they change the whole decor to match the holiday. I went during Christmas time and it was adorable the way they decorated it. Uptown Beer Garden is pretty massive and they provide inside and outside seating. During the winter months, they provide multiple different firepits for you to enjoy and help you stay warm. There are multiple bars to get a drink so you will not have to wait very long to grab one. They offer a wide range of drinks and they even offer theme drinks as well. Their prices are reasonable and their drinks are not watered down. If you are in Philly and are looking to grab a quick drink or spend a night out, I recommend Uptown Beer Garden. Amazing vibes paired with delicious food and drinks!

Great space carved out in the middle of Central City. We decided to drown our sorrows at how small the LOVE sign is in Philly with some drafts. The location wasn't busy yet but I know it'll get busy with the warmer weather but a Saturday after of Pride weekend was surprisingly quiet which was fine for my family and I. We were able enjoy the quiet area in the back with our loud group of 8 people. There were picnic tables and couches for us to relax on walking from Reading Terminal Market which was able a 15 min walk to City Hall. The drinks were pretty standard with drafts of local breweries along with slushies and cocktails for those that don't enjoy a cold beer. I like how they try to create a calm relaxing environment in the middle of the city. I'd always prefer these quieter times than the nightlife that I imagine it has.

Excellent service, extremely enjoyable ambiance, the food was typical bar food (we just had apps) but the mixed drinks were excellent.

Uptown Beer Garden is a fun and spacious outdoor holiday bar with lots of seating (and space heaters). I was able to get two drinks and a soft pretzel for around $40 before service fees, tax and gratuity. The drinks were actually delicious; not watered down, cheap, or gimmicky like you would expect from a festive bar. The place is filled with several photo ops so save some time for a holiday card photo. I will definitely be back in the future.

This place is pretty expensive but the service is good. The Halloween decorations were really festive. The Nancy's Night Out Cocktail tasted good but the serving was pretty small. It's nice that they have Halloween themed drinks. The Friends Don't Lie cocktail is a dessert drink and it's very sweet.

Let me preface this by saying I'd rather give them 4 stars than 3, but the true rating was about a 3.5-3.7.Shout out to our server Patrick for checking on our table and getting us taken care of pretty quickly. 5/5The food was pretty good, a solid 4. I had the pulled pork sliders but they don't come with fries, for the price I assumed they would. I ate fries off my partners plate. This was a deduction (price:fries).I had sprite to drink because I don't drink any more (at a beer garden I know, haha). The sliders are small but you get 3 and they're topped with coldslaw, and they were good.I would go again and would definitely probably order everything I ordered again with the addition of a side of fries.

Very clevernicely decorated Cool atmosphere and I felt safe walking around. Bartenders were clearly working hard but definitely paid more attention to the guys at the bar then the ladies. Very disappointing. And the drinks were on the pricey side

Th staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming to guests. When the bar manager was requested to tell her the restroom smells of sewage, she told us she was busy with other patrons. She returned to a group of men that walked in with us. (See picture). If you prefer a bar where the manager welcomes her friends, this place is for you. If you prefer an inclusive atmosphere, go elsewhere. Don't use the restroom or drink the water!
