A delicious new vegan asian/African place in cap hill - pick up is in the front of Bang Up To The Elephant, super quick and easy.We ordered and split the following, and all entrees came w jasmine rice:- Mapo Tofu (app): my FAVORITE of all the dishes, so many fat cubes of tofu fried and coated in a deliciously spicy and tingly sauce. Fried tofu sometimes can get too hard on the outside - but these cubes are soft on the inside, and have a delightfully delicate crisp/crunch on the outside. - Manushe Curry (entree): a huge portion of warm savory curry, filled with veggies and very heartening! First time ever eating this, good to order if you are feeling VERY hungry! - Orange & orange (entree): ordered this with seitan - although you can choose proteins between seitan, eggplant, and fried tofu. I'm a sucker for the orange chicken at Panda Express... and this had the same delicious sweet and savory citrus flavors, but with SEITAN! How wonderful. Can't wait to order again soon - am eyeing the asian "chicken" nuggets and the sesame & sesame!

Ordered takeout online. The website says delivery only, but they just mean you can't get the food from this pop-up as dine-in at the caribbean restaurant it shares a kitchen with.The Munashe Curry and Laziji Nuggets were spicyz funky, and unique, and the sesame tofu was well-executed normcore food, smart to have on the menu. Attention to detail with the branding is appreciated as well. Value was shockingly excellent for something so trendy. I'm going to make more rice and get a second meal out of the curry.Excited to see what they do next.

AMAZING. So glad we found this place. So far we have tried the sesame and sesame with eggplant, the Kung Pao with seitan, the wings, and the mapo tofu. All of them were perfect. I want to put the sauce that comes with the tofu on everything. I got the cauliflower rice and I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything, which is what I frequently feel when I make a healthy swap like that. The wings are incredible, and definitely the star of the meal for us. All of it kept great for leftovers for lunch the next day. It's our new favorite go-to for take away.

Love this spot. We ordered and picked up where Beatrice and Woodsley is and we ordered the wings and nuggets and mapo tofu. The wings are really good I highly recommend.

This food is incredible! The fact that this is eating vegan makes me want to never eat meat again! Delicious!

An omnivores review. We absolutely loved takeout from here! We had spicy Szechuan Stings, General Tso's and Lo Mein. General Tso's flavors are well balanced with right amount of heat, Lo Mein was done perfect , veggies cooked just right with a slight crisp, (not soggy or too raw like I feel occurs too often).

I've been a long time fan of Bang up to the Elephant and Beatrice & Woodsley. So, when they invited me to be a taste-tester for this new place and new menu, I was more than happy to give it a try. And wow, I couldn't be more excited to go back for more! I didn't quite know what to expect of the idea of bringing together flavors from both asian and african cuisines, but everything I tried was full of flavor and just really incredible. So far I've had the szechuan wings, the hot & sour soup, the south-african curry, and the sesame & sesame. Each was really delicious and I have to order again soon to try more and dessert next time!

The Kung Pao with fried tofu was amazing! Seriously. And the fried "chicken" nuggets were so good- I have never had anything like them. I have been looking for a new go-to restaurant for delivery. So yum.

This place is so good! Everything is really flavorful and the menu is really interesting. The best things I've had so far are the Kung Pao tofu and the Laziji nuggets. The Boba is really good too, strongly reccoemnd!

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical when I was invited to try out this new vegan restaurant. I enjoy all kinds of foods, but don't typically go the vegan route. But wow, this place is just so delicious that I can't wait to order again. They have this nice blend of influence from both asian and african foods that comes out as just the right amount of spicy combined with just a little sweet. The Laziji Tofu is like a vegan version of a really delicious chicken nugget! General Tso's was great with the cauliflower rice and the Hot Pot had a hearty flavor that is perfect on a cold winter night.
