Located in a non-descript strip mall, it is a surprise how big and clean it is inside. We like it cuz it has darts, pool tables and great service. Seems to be a big karaoke spot. We met interesting people as it is a place to mix.

This is an amazing place. The bartenders are so friendly and it has a super comfortable vibe. Karaoke on Friday's and open mic on Tuesday.

Ok so it's a bar with no food. The staff is cool as f#ck and the prices for drinks are a bargain. You can always order from Dan's pizza or spring roll Express next door. They have live music some nights. It's a big place with pool tables and darts. Only thing is that the Juke box sucks balls. Very limited and edited

Every time I have been here it's been an enjoyable experience. Just your neighborhood local bar. Relaxed atmosphere and cold drinks. Friendly waitstaff. They have games and a pool table and a stage for bands. Great little outside patio for warmer weather. If ur in the neighborhood and want a quick drink. Try it out.

Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and it's vape- friendly. I recommend Wednesday nights for the budget wells or Thursday beer nights.

On jan 21,2017 my car was vandalized in front of the tavern. I contacted the owner and he explain their cameras are not recording cameras. He offered to find oit what happened and never heard from him or gave me any options. I feel now this place is dangerous. No one deserves to go out on a night and have their property destroyed. My car was dented deep on the right side. The wind shild broken and the wind shield wiper in the passenger sude broken. It cost me 200 dollars out of my pocket to repair it. It is upsetting and unfair.

I had a great time here but really, it was more from the band and the company than from the place itself. But there wasn't necessarily anything wrong with the place so I am a little torn on what to rate it. I doubt I would go back unless there was a band there I wanted to see...We came here to see The Raspas, a reggae group from Austin that I had seen before. I knew they would be fantastic as they always play a great show and play their hearts out no matter how many people are there. We got there about 8:30 as the band went on at 10. I figured we could have a few beers and enjoy before the music started, plus I wanted to make sure I got a table up close to the stage. No worries on that! When we got there, there was a total of maybe 5 people there. More people came in later, but it was never what you call busy. The domestic bottles are $3 which is typical, and the bartender was super sweet. They don't do a pre-auth when you start a tab, so they keep your credit card. So, if you're drinking a lot, remember to grab your card at the end of the night! They were showing the football game and they guys didn't start playing until after it was over, which kinda sucked. I was there for music, not football. But I think I was in the minority; plus when they got ready to play the bartender came up and told them to keep the sound down. Um. What? You have live bands but you want them to keep the sound down? Luckily the sound system was pretty decent and of course the Raspas KILLED it! I really don't know what kind of bar this is...it's definitely not a reggae bar; they played 80's country in between sets so maybe it's more of a country bar? We talked to the guys in the band and they said it was a last minute gig and they were just happy to play together, so it worked out for them. I just felt so bad that nobody was really listening to them...which is sad because they are a REALLY great group! They do have a lot of TVs and they have the TV monitors at the bar which is cool; pool is $6 and hour which isn't bad, and the bartender said darts are free. They have a few video games and a pinball machine. There is no smoking allowed which is why I gave an extra star; you have to go out back to smoke which is fine by me!It wasn't a bad time; in fact it was a really good time, but since that was due to other factors than the place itself I doubt I will be back any time soon.

I went to Union 2/5/24 with the intention of playing pool alone, it has become a fun hobby of mine so I wanted to practice. When I arrived I got money out the ATM and sat at the bar. Within the firs 5 mins of me being in the building, I was verbally attacked by a very intoxicated man who hurled profanity at me to "Get my attention" I wore a hoodie with my last name on it and he wanted to ask if I was related to Hakeem Olajuwon or Kareem Abdul Jabbar (strange but it was a bar, and people are drinking so I suppose). Due to me not realizing he was talking to me, I ignored him. After realizing I was the person he was speaking to, I was shocked by his insulting tactics to get my attention and simply stated "I will not respond to you" I was immediately called "Black Crap" and additional colorful insults regarding my race that I will spare those reading. No one surrounding him stepped to my aid, nor did they seem to have any issue with such an older gentleman attacking me. The bartender was nice and polite however I had no back-up within that group, everyone silently displayed their support. It took the kindness of a complete stranger to support me and defend me, and for that I am truly grateful, however the damage was done; I was insulted simply for choosing to spend money there. It was VERY apparent that the staff knew this man and perhaps agreed with his statements, perhaps black people are not to feel comfortable in this establishment. And if that is the case, be proud. Blatantly share that black people are not allowed and relish in your hatred. Do not open your doors and accept from money from those whom you hate. It surely would have made a world of difference to me, and I would have gone to a place where I was welcomed. Needless to say, I was VERY DISSAPPOINTED ! It is 2024, Black History Month, within one of the most culturally rich areas..and still I have to deal with this, and endure the humiliation from the silence of those who had the power to correct it. Thank you Union Tavern for upholding the bigotry we all try to erase all over the world. Thank you for upholding deep seeded hatred and giving it a warm comfortable place to sit and have a nice drink. Wishing for the future of your business "progress" to reflect the unexpected pain and complete embarrassment that I felt that night. The number one bar in the area for low level thinking and action.Note: Hakeem Olajuwon is my uncle. There could've been a great conversation had if the hatred wasn't so loud.

Great local spot to just chill and have a great time. I'm not a local by any means but I'm in the area a few times a year. Plan on this place being my watering hole when I'm in town. I was a little too buzzed and having a good time to remember my bar tenders names but they were both really cool chicks!
