This is a unique review and may be a little biased.I had the pleasure of finally visiting the Wash Park location where a friend works. When we arrived, our friend was able to get off work and join us for dinner, which was great because she could tell us about the menu, share stories, and have fun without the stress of serving us.She informed Jeff, our waiter, of everything we needed, and we ended up having an endless stream of food brought to our table. We had only planned on getting ramen but ended up trying a little bit of everything on the menu. The best dish was the Babette Steak, which was a pleasant surprise.I highly recommend this place. All the staff were amazing and would stop by our table to joke with our friend and say hello. One downside was the music was very loud and hard to hear at time

We arrived a little after 5pm as a walk-in for 7 people. There are only two tables here that seat 8 people, and we were lucky to get one of them. The restaurant was already pretty busy when we arrived, and they open at 5pm!The staff is energetic and friendly. I described to our server that I like herbacious drinks that are not very booze-forward. She recommended Paris is Burning, which had not jumped out at me on the menu, but I ended up really liking it. Lovely minimal space. Open kitchen. Huge windows, lots of natural light. I love how they did the bathrooms with gorgeous flowers on the ceiling.* Paris is Burning - 4 starsThe lemon and the ginger were strong on this one, which I enjoyed. A great refreshing, light drink.* Low Spark - 4 starsWhiskey-forward but well-balanced. I don't usually like any amount of whiskey, and it says a lot that I enjoyed a couple sips of this (although I couldn't have drank the whole glass).* Lemon Soda - 4 starsEnjoyed by the kids and adults, refreshing with a slight bitterness. * Thai Shrimp ($17) - 3 starsI'm sure this tasted great, but it was so insanely spicy I could barely taste anything else. Our friends had gotten this dish before and didn't remember it being this spicy.* Pork Belly Buns ($11) - 3.5 starsGood, very soft/consistent bun texture. However, I found the meat underwhelming, a little too hard/lean (despite being right next to a big chunk of fat).* Soft Shell Crab Buns ($15) - 4 starsTasty with a good crunch. In retrospect a little redundant to get two types of buns. I would get the soft shell.* Duck Ramen ($19) - 4.5 starsNoodles were just the right amount al dente. My partner found the egg a bit too runny, but the shoyu broth was creamy, salty, and delicious. Duck was tasty.* Spicy Chicken Ramen ($19) - 4 starsAgain, good al dente noodles. I actually loved how runny the yolk was and how soft the whites were. Our server had described this as "Midwestern spicy"; it was still a little spicier than I'd expected, but frankly after having that crazy spicy Thai Shrimp, this felt like a breeze. The chicken pieces were quite hard.

Got here close to open, we had no wait and it was so nice. Beautiful day, open window. Went on a Monday in the Summer with the 2 Ramen and a Bottle special (so worth it). I ordered duck ramen and my partner ordered Veggie Khao Soi (similar to a curry flavor). Both were amaaaazing. Duck pairs well with the shunnouten junmai sake. Easily my favorite ramen spot in Denver. Beautiful decor, friendly and helpful staff.

Time for a mini updated review! The main reason to visit THIS Uncle location is because it takes reservations. At this point, I really only go to order the Veggie Khao Soi which is one of the best things on their menu. The starters are delicious as well, especially the Crab Buns. Oh, and a side of crispy tofu is a must!! I personally like sitting at the bar and watching the chefs work their magic. Still wish they had hot sake but will always come back to satisfy my ramen craving in-restaurant or to-go.

Went to the West Wash Park location. Luckily they take reservations because it was packed - even on a Tuesday night. We had to wait 15 minutes before our table was ready, but the host let us know the progress and gave us a menu to look at while we waited. Definitely worth the wait! Our waitress was very knowledgeable. When she learned it was our first time, she gave us some suggestions and they were all on point. We started with the crispy eggplant buns with a yummy miso mayo. Our second dish was their pork and cabbage dumplings - little pillows of dough in a spicy chili oil. Known for their ramen, I went with the vegetarian recommendation (and I love meat) with crispy tofu. The Veggie Khao Soi was full of many layers of flavor. This heaping bowl of ramen came with yellow curry broth, trumpet mushrooms, chili jam, red onion, and mustards. I thought I would have some leftovers to take home, but it was too good. Guess I will have to return for another bowl.

This place was delish! We did not have a reservation but took the high top towards the back which was a perfect table for us! Our waitress was very friendly and kind.I have an egg and chicken allergy and they do not substitute, so the only option for ramen was the veggie. The Veggie ramen was fantastic!! The broth was very flavorful and would totally come back for that! The steak also great! The rest of the group loved their food too and want to come back!

Get the curry ramen. It's amazing! Savory, not to salty, and creamy. Perfect after a day on the mountains. My bf's ramen was also good but unmemorable. We went early at opening and still had to wait 15mins without reservations. Definitely will be on the revisit list when in Denver.

Have been a couple times and I really enjoy this spot. The vibes are fun and it's usually happening. Food is excellent, but not very traditional. It's ended up being one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. Always have good service and the staff is friendly.
