Ultimo Coffee

As a first-time visitor, I was hoping for a standout experience, but unfortunately, this coffee shop didn't quite hit the mark. When I walked in, two staff members were present--one greeted me, while the other appeared preoccupied, eating behind the counter. This initial interaction lacked the welcoming vibe I was hoping for and made me feel more like an inconvenience than a valued customer.It wasn't particularly busy for a Saturday morning, so my drinks were prepared quickly, which was a positive note. However, the coffee itself was disappointing--diluted and lacking the robust flavor I enjoy. Their menu is very basic, and given the abundance of great coffee shops in the area, I don't see myself returning here.

FYI: Coffee Review Only...Came in after walking around quite a bit in the Rittenhouse square area and ordered Iced Mocha, Iced Latte and Iced Tea.They were all DELICIOUS and VERY refreshing.The service was prompt and good.The ambience is textbook downtown cafe' with a chill vibeWould definitely come here again and try more stuff...

I was really expecting to love this place after so many good yelp reviews. I got an iced coffee, one with vanilla and one with mocha. In my opinion, the coffee was extremely water down. Even after cream and sugar, the coffees were pretty bad. When I walked in there many people were working on their laptops. It was pretty crowded. there was a pastry bar there as well, but I didn't get any. The staff was fine. No one was particularly friendly. I'm not sure if I would try again maybe it was an off day many people seem to love it here.

This place was super cute! Loved the vibe here. The barista was super friendly. My croissant (not pictured bc I ate it so fast) was absolutely delicious. Definitely a study friendly atmosphere, I would recommend!

I tried their iced hibiscus tea and it was good. Service was good too. Need to come back and try their coffee. Not much seating inside and just two seats outside. The outside table was very dirty and sticky.

Been a big fan of Ultimo in Grad Hospital but this was my first time trying this location. The baristas were friendly, the service was speedy, and the price for the value was solid. I ordered a decaf vanilla latte because they make their vanilla bean in house. The temperature of the latte was great and I was in and out in 7 minutes! Only con is that the space is a wee bit tiny so not ideal for meeting up with someone for a coffee chat... maybe ok for doing to deep work and reading a book though! I will be back!

Five stars for the black drip coffee I enjoyed on a sunny Saturday at this beautiful Ultimo location! Steps from Rittenhouse Square, this is an awesome spot to fuel up before your weekend adventure. I took a bar-style spot at the window to journal and enjoy my coffee, which made for amazing people watching and good vibes all around. This is a perfect spot to cozy up and work, read, study, write, or have a chat, but know that it does get fairly busy and finding a spot inside can be cutthroat. Another special shoutout for the pastry case, which had a really nice variety of breads, cookies, and the like. I went with a piece of lemon poppyseed bread and it was very tasty. I can see myself stopping here for cold brew on my way to hang in the park, or treating myself to working in their bright environment. I look forward to grabbing their beans for my coffee maker at home and checking out some more of their locations in the very near future.

Coffee here is a A+++++++!!!! It's smooth, velvety, and absolutely delightful. The baristas are super kind and service is fast. I love studying here because of all the natural light!! There are also vegan pastries which are delicious :) Ultimo is my favorite place to be and I won't stop coming back.

Really good mocha. Boyfriend got the iced and I got it hot - both delicious. This place deserves a 5 stars but I'll give it 3 because there is never a place to sit and enjoy your drink. That's because there are people who buy 1 black coffee, open their laptops and sit at the table for hours. (And no, I don't want to drink out of a to-go cup. That's the whole point of coming to a local coffee shop vs going to the bigger chains).This model works for coffee shops that are spacious and can accommodate patrons who want to work for many many hours as well as for those who just want to sit, enjoy their coffee and say goodbye. This location has maybe 5 tables.
