Terrible service. Limited menu options. We walked in and were not welcomed, but basically pointed to seat at a table. We sat for 7-10 minutes - as the ONLY PATRONS in the restaurant, at 2:45 pm without a server or anyone coming to greet us, ask us if we were ready to order, wanted beverages or anything. So we got up and left. We wont be back. Bonnie. It happened the last time my husband was in town.l for the holidays, In December. We were on our way home after I picked him up from the airport. I didn't post the review on that day because my husband was here for three weeks and I didn't care to spend my time writing reviews on the Yelp. While he is home, I like to spend time with him. When yelp reminded me to post a review that's when I reviewed you and I won't be back and I'm not going to change my review. Because it was completely truthful and honest. if you wanna look at the exact date and approximate time, it was December 19 at about 2:45 PM. I hope that helps you.

Hidden Gem! Authentic, Amazing, Mexican food. The Uli's tacos are an absolute party in your mouth of flavors that blend beautifully. The guacamole is freshly made, creamy, and garnished with queso fresco, radish slices, and pomegranate seeds. Yum! The ELOTES DE LA CALLE was too tasty to have just one piece per person. Per the menu it is 4 mini street style corn on the cobb with epazote, lime aioli, queso, and chile de Arbol powderWe also had the SHRIMP AGUACHILE VERDE, Sweet, tender shrimp, pickled red onion, cucumber, and avocado in a serrano habanero lime sauce. Having just returned from the Yucatán peninsula I can attest to the authenticity and the freshest I've had anywhere in the greater Houston area.

My wife and I had another amazing dinner at Uli's. Their food is so unique and of high quality. Their drinks are outstanding, with our favorite being the mandarin coconut margarita. This is not your ordinary Mexican restaurant experience here in The Woodlands. Their service is consistently amazing, with Timmy being one of our favorite servers. Now that our kids have graduated from The Woodlands high school, I have been able to take my wife here on a romantic date night more often. The restaurant provides a romantic environment and we really enjoy seeing Bonnie, the owner, who always welcomes us as if we are family.

I came here for lunch and it is a lovely place for a quiet meal during the week! Our server was very attentive and polite. The lunch specials are reasonably priced. I got the enchilada special which comes with one enchilada (I got the traditional chocolate mole sauce with chicken)and refried beans and rice. The mole sauce had a great flavor and the rice and beans were delicious. I liked how the portions were just right and didn't leave me feeling stuffed! We also asked for chips and salsa. The chips were well seasoned and the salsa was nice and fresh. Definitely an authentic Mexican meal. I highly recommend trying this place!

We've dined at Uli's Kitchen a few times and I thought it was time to post a review. The location is nice with a open seating area and nice small bar. We are always greeted with a smile and the service has been excellent. The menu is pretty robust with plenty of starters, main courses and also a happy hour and lunch options during the week. The FoodEverything is exceptional... always tasty and a very nice menu. We haven't had a dish to disappoint yet and already have a favorite:TACOS DE BIRRIA (JALISCO)Tender, slow-braised beef, chihuahua cheese, cilantro, and diced onion in three lightly fried corn tortillas served with consommé for dippingThese are made to perfection and the consommé is delicious. See the pic. Today we tried the Tacos el Pastor as well and they were very good. The grilled Pineapple really added a nice flavor. Toss in a Cervesa and a Paloma and we were set. The staff is always nice and attentive. Really love this place.

I had heard of this place, but I didn't want to get disappointed again in one more Tex Mex restaurant claiming to be Mexican Food. Or another restaurant serving the most basic of dishes, and all made with precooked ingredients. Well, let me tell you, this place is legit, it has dishes from several places in Mexico, REAL Mexican dishes. Their Mole is authentic, they make their own mole, you can taste the chocolate in it. They make their own cajeta, and it was amazing. Our dishes were all delicious, the mole in the enchiladas was different than that on my chicken. I talked to Ulises, the owner. I loved his story and his personality. He explained how everything on the menu is made there. They offered us some churros with their cajeta and they were to die for! I will for sure go back, and I will for sure recommend this place to the pickiest of my friends. This place makes me feel proud of my roots. Thank you, Ulises!

Farewell. It's been a nice 3 year ride. Now where will I be able to get authentic Pozole in The Woodlands area? Unfortunately this was a bad location access wise. Plus being in back of Woodlands needed more community regulars. This is still a steak, burger and fajitas town Xalisco opening up on Mall ring road was the final death knell as similar target markets. Happy Cinco de Mayo.
