Uchi continues to be one of my top sushi spots in Denver. The ambiance is sleek, modern, and always buzzing with energy. While reservations can be tough to snag, especially last minute, arriving around 4 p.m. can be a game changer. The sushi and cocktail bar seats often have availability, and it's a perfect way to enjoy an impromptu meal.Tyler and Keanu behind the bar are standouts--friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer spot-on recommendations. The fish here is exceptionally fresh, and many dishes have inventive, delightful twists that elevate the experience beyond the usual sushi fare. Whether you're a sushi purist or looking for something a bit more adventurous, Uchi never disappoints. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience in Denver!

Been to uchi for bday celebrations, friends in town, and last minute happy hour and it never disappoints!Their inventive and creative pairings of flavors is truly what makes this place so good. Walu walu, Hama chili, and edamame are must orders!! Ham and eggs roll was also super unique and delicious. Happy hour also offers amazing deals and is great for 2 and trying new things!

Came late night and it wasn't too busy. There was a wait, so our group waited outside. We were offered to order drinks and so we ordered and was able to drink outside while waiting which was nice. Once inside, it was really nice, and somewhat dark. My eyes had to adjust. Ordering our food was quick and the wait wasn't too long. Everything came out almost the same time. The food was really good but the price $$$ was way more than what we thought it really was worth. Small portions, but big enough to share with one person.

We attempted to get a table during happy hour around 5 p.m. on a Friday and were informed there would be a three-hour wait. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find bar seating available within the next hour! Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We were unsure of what to order, but he suggested the somakase, a curated menu based on our budget. With high expectations from reviews, I'm thrilled to say this was one of the best meals we've had. Although we're only in Colorado for two more days, we're seriously considering returning tomorrow. We chose a mix of nigiri and sashimi, and the standout dishes from the somakase were the seared salmon belly and gyutoro--both were rich, buttery, and tender. We also tried the Santa Barbara uni, which, while pricey, was excellent, though it doesn't quite measure up to what we've had in Japan but I digress. The yuzu cucumber oysters and ponzu yellowtail with tangerines offered a refreshing flavor profile, the grilled walu walu (escolar) was perfectly cooked and flavorful, kinoko nabe (mushroom rice claypot) added a wonderful umami depth, and the soft shell crab roll had a satisfying crunch and a great sauce. The big eye tuna and sea brim were on the drier side, so we might skip those next time.Overall, we had an extremely enjoyable experience and would highly recommend this place!

Uchi Denver, the sushi here was phenomenal. I mean everything we ordered was absolutely the best quality, presentation, and service. Typically not a dessert person, but I wouldnt pass on the mango dessert they have there. The ambiance is definitely a bit upscale. The decor of the interior was a definite vibe. I absolutely recommend hama chili, spicy maki, uni/salmon roe, salmon belly, and wagyu. If youre thinking about coming here and love sushi. COME HERE!

Another hip trendy sushi restaurant with fresh fish and high prices. The sushi bar is actually quite small considering that there's over 70 tables in the restaurant with only five sushi chefs that are juggling an avalanche of orders so you never really get a calm Sushi experience even though Josephine did a great job. They are highly trained, but don't expect a Japanese feel whatsoever. This place could easily have been a Korean barbecue. The portions are small, in fact, we went over to hop Alley to finish our appetite after spending over $300.Uchi does have a fantastic sake menu.

Everything was so delicious that we kept forgetting to take photos! We sat at the sushi bar and had the pleasure of talking with the chef. It was entertaining to watch them make the delicious dishes. We tried so many things and loved them all. We got to try ocean trout for the first time and it was so amazing.Definitely recommend this place for a stellar meal!

Probably the best meal I've had since living in Denver for the last 7 years. We went with friends and decided to splurge on the Omakase and so happy we did. It wasn't cheap , but had zero buyers remorse. It was 10 plates and by the last plate we were pleasantly full. I wish I could remember what each plate was, but once again hands down my favorite meal in Denver. Service was impeccable. The waitress went over the menu and told us what everything was and provided recommendations on what we should do. Would recommend if you love sushi and willing to spend the $ a perfect place to go on a date night.

Always a must whenever I'm in Denver, especially if I can get squeezed in during happy hour!I was lucky enough to get seated at the cocktail bar for 1 about 15 minutes before happy hour closed. As always, my go-to is the bincho. This is a tuna nigiri with some truffle and it truly is perfection. In total, I order 3 orders of the bincho (), the waygu meatball, and the kurodai crudo, along with the seasonal spritz. Everything was DELICIOUS. I loved their crudo--it was such a good balance of salty and sweet and sour. The drink was delicious. I was also lucky enough to get a pour (gartis!) of their white wine (no idea what it was called). Overall, I love this place and will ALWAYS return when I'm in town.Service: 5/5Food: 5/5Atmosphere: 5/5Price: 5/5
