It's a dive bar, and I really don't do dive bars (full stop) -- but I try to keep an open mind and Two Headed Dog is crafty and clean enough for me to like it! (if that makes any sense at all... lol) The hubs and I decided to be mavericks and step out of our usual & try a new spot for a nightcap. We searched craft cocktails, and the Yelpers + the five star rating led us here. I trust my fellow Yelpers, and I'm happy to report that I wasn't disappointed.Bar service only, the cocktails are tasty, it's dark and tucked away, the music is a vibe, prices are amazing, the aesthetic is quite eclectic, and the restroom was clean. THD clearly has a following as people were continuously streaming in, and after our first visit, the hubs and I agreed that we'd be down to return with company. As one who's admittedly obsessed with a good photo-op, I was soooo tempted to try out the old school photo booth, but I couldn't go all the way without Lysol wipes. #babystepsOverall, I tried a new scene tonight and I liked it!

Great bar very chill and laid back. Has a small entrance but you can definitely see it with the bright lights. The bartender was very nice and welcoming. The menu had a great selection of signature cocktails. They had a good beer selection as well, my first drink of choice was there pickle michelada (spicy added) it was good. The mix was one of the best that I've had I really enjoyed there spicy version. My second drink was there blood of our enemies, again. It was a great choice the gin, pineapple, pomegranate, and there wizard citrus was a good mix. The restroom's were cool they had vintage playboys magazines as wallpaper. There was a Photo Booth to take pics in as well as a patio. Overall very laid back and great atmosphere.

Two Headed Dog is one of my favorite dive bars in town. If you aren't looking for it, you would never even know there's a bar there as it is behind a wooden fence. We came to have a few cocktails before dinner on a weekday and there was a decent sized crowd. The weather was nice so we took advantage of the nice outdoor space. Inside it's small but there is a little bit of seating. The staff was friendly and steered us in the right directions as far as what we like. We started off with a few of their cocktails. She got the Plant Creep and I got the Last Rites. Their menu might not be as extensive as some of the higher end cocktail bars, but they definitely put out great drinks. Both of the drinks were delicious and even nice to look at. I kept seeing people with a frozen green drink and I had to get one for myself. It was the Late Nite Pie Daiquiri and it was so dang good. It was like drinking a key lime pie. Dessert in drink form, yes please! Can't wait to get back here and try some of their other creations!

There's a reason this place has a five star rating - hidden gem! Two Headed Dog is what I would call an "upscale dive bar" tucked off of Elgin Street. Don't let the unassuming entrance fool you, great cocktails, a diverse liquor selection, and talented bartenders await inside. The drinks on their menu are unique and reasonably priced. I was craving an espresso martini which is not on their regular menu, however the bartender was able to craft something similar which was excellent. Great spot to take a casual date or a few friends. One warning - parking is very limited nearby so best to walk, uber, or utilize the metro rail nearby.

Great small local bar with fun bartenders and a rotating menu. The Halloween decor was giving spook city.

May 22, 2022Before we headed home to galveston...we stopped by this hole in the wall. There is no name on the front it's just a fence with the door open. (it's directly across from CVS - DON'T PARK there btw...they tow)You'll see the bar name on the building that faces their patioPark at the empty lot at the corner; it says to pay but the owner (of bar) said it's free and that's where to park, so we did. The menu is posted and it's all craft cocktails; very interesting combinations...we tried 3 different ones and didn't like them enough to order again. The owner is super nice. It's a dive bar so very casual. Had a popcorn machine to snack on. They have cookouts and food trucks when announced. Not in the best part of midtown so be aware of your surroundings.

What a fun place and great way to relax after work. My son recommended it. I have a degree in geography and mapping and I had a tough time finding it. There is free parking at the commercial lot before 8PM on the next block. Trust your navigation system and walk a half block. Service was great in spite of a little crowd. The bar is very well stocked.

I'm kinda into this tucked away little divey cocktail bar.Park on the street or in the adjacent lot. It's an unattended paid parking lot, but I was informed by a bartender it's never checked. Came in on a Sunday evening. Karaoke was in full swing on the patio. A person was manning a small grill area for freshly made hot food that night. The place is small, but that's not a problem for me. Emphasis is placed on the house signature cocktails including a few frozen cocktails. No beers on tap, but they have a rather unique assortment of canned beers and cider. The cocktails and theme of the place are loosely tropical.Spent the evening chatting with a friendly bartender, and he walked me to my vehicle when he got off of work due to the random vagabonds roaming the streets in this area. What a nice gesture!Of course one must visit the bathroom. Vintage natural ladies in various states of undress? They have that here.Definitely plan on returning.

This place is so cute! They only serve drinks and a snack. It's a great cocktail place for good vibes and has a more intimate atmosphere. The bartenders are very friendly and make really good drinks!

This has become a staple neighborhood dive bar for me. The seasonal drinks are unique and delicious, and the vibe is always perfect. They also host fun events like having themed DJs on the weekends and reading series every so often.
