John is that good. Just bore witness to him handling a full bar and full tables on discount pizza night (Wednesdays) without skipping a beat on an order or breaking a single drop of sweat. Told him he can take my wife on a date whenever he wants. Mark and Matt sling the best pies in the borough. Don't sleep on this. Beer is also the best in the neighborhood. I've lived in Colorado and Washington and the beer here has that same clean taste and finish as the best of em.

My sister sister was looking for somewhere that hosted Monday night trivia, and I'm on a quest to visit all the breweries in the area, so here we are. Trivia starts at 630. We rolled in at 615 and grabbed the last table. It's a small brewery so make sure you get there early to claim a spot. It is pretty loud, but everyone was quiet when questions were read. The trivia host was fantastic, funny, and had a unique style. We really enjoyed it. They only serve pizza (which is okay with me) and there was an hour wait for pies. Again, come early and order asap. We got the Philly Popper and it was delicious. Very thin crust with lots of flavor. They had a pretty nice selection of beers on tap. The ginger beer had kicked and they had trouble getting it started again but the bartender was really accommodating about it. I'll definitely be back.

Without a doubt the best pizza I've had in Philly and I'm just so lucky to live literally a 2 minute walk away!! Love the staff super sweet they took a pic of my service dog griffin he's on the wall check him out I've tried several different pizzas but always stick with the pepperoni and get jalapeños on the side I'm sooooo lucky to have this place up the block you guys are soooo good you need to expand! The pizza is perfect amount of sauce perfect amount of cheese i always hate when pizza is more sauce than cheese but they are spot on with proportions it's really great vibes in there much love

Such a great neighbourhood spot that I took forever to discover ! Really great place to hang out and get pizza and brews. We went early enough to beat the crowds on a Thursday, John and Mark took great care of us, the ginger beer was on point and the pizza was so delicious! Definitely is on repeat list!

Five stars for the fantastic beers and five stars for the epic pizzas, if only I could give it that perfect ten!Residing within a 100+-year-old bar space on an unassuming Roxyunk residential space, Twisted Gingers is the perfect neighborhood brewery that is more than worth trekking up and down those steep Manayunk Roxborough hills to get to. And when you imbibe upon those good brews and savor your first bite slice of pizza, you'll understand why it survived so well despite opening in the thick of that pandemic timeline.Whether it's been coming in to grab a couple four four-packs on the go, to enjoy a pizza dinner among friends, or to take in some beer flights and a musical performance, I've always felt like I was being welcomed to the neighborhood when setting foot within. Like most breweries these days TG does have a few IPAs on the menu. But I definitely appreciate that their standards are a satisfying blond ale, a strong Belgian tripel, and a hard ginger beer. They also have a regular selection of rotating new-release beers that play well to the seasons. You know that you're having a good brewhouse pizza when it comes with an ale-infused crust! But that's the only gimmicky thing you get from these rustic pizzas, and it's pretty impressive seeing how they reconfigured the taproom kitchen to be able to dish out these 14" pies of glory! Favorites of mine include the Friend From Brussels with its brussel sprout shavings, bacon, mozzarella, and asiago; and the spicy Philly Popper with panko-crusted jalapeno peppers, bacon, cheddar, mozzarella, Mike's hot honey, and a Philly cream cheese drizzle.Toss in regular events like a trivia night and live music nights, and there's plenty to enjoy.

This is a convenient spot to grab pizza and beers if you're a local in the Roxborough area. They also have some outdoor seating on the side of the establishment if you're in the mood for outdoor dining! I'm not a beer girlie but I do like cider and our server recommended the orange seltzer. It was def tasty and a solid recommendation on his end! The pizza came out hot and was nice and cheesy. I'm giving a 3/5 b/c there was something missing on the pizza for me. It's like we were waiting for the taste to grow on us and after we finished the pizza, we confirmed there was something more we needed from it. It's not bad pizza though.
