This place is located between antique shops and is half was between being an antique and a hole in the wall. The servers were great and explained all the choices and specials. The burrata and caprese were delicious. The lobster ravioli and lasagna were very good.Tirimisu was best ever had.Yelp has been weird lately and acting like I need to post my review except I posted this years ago. So to update- I come every year when I'm in town and always have a lovely meal.

Sad to say this little gem has gone downhill. Service is still top notch, but they closed the grotto out back . the place was only half full on a Sat. night.Out of 25% of a much smaller menu and couldn't cut the chicken with a knive!

This was a hard review to write. But I decided to be kind with 4 stars -- as my meal was good. But there was a mix of good, not so good, and a few strange things here. The restaurant is located in an unusual area off the main drag on a street that might give one pause when parking. And it is street parking. But there are a number of new hotels in the areas and unsuspecting tourists walking around. It's an area that I definitely would not have walked in at night several years ago. The restaurant is small. There are a limited number of tables close together. So reservations are definitely recommended. When my friend called for reservations, she was told she had called too soon -- and to call back within two weeks that we wanted to dine. Don't sit at the one table near the bathroom, though, you'll hear everything. Our service was good, but leisurely. I assume we were asked to "dine leisurely" and that this is on purpose as there is only one waiter for everyone. He was nice, but calling the gentlemen "captain" and the ladies "madame" can get old about the 10th time... We were given small bruschetta toasts to start -- one tiny one per person -- which were fine. And a basket of strange garlic bread. The bread was sliced from the package rye bread with oil and parsley and not much garlic. They should definitely change this. We skipped appetizers and went right to the entrees. My lasagna was good even with the unusual layer of hard boiled eggs. My husband's lamb pappardelle was served cold so he had it reheated. The pasta was good, but the sauce was disappointing as it didn't have much lamb in it. My friend's gnocchi were okay but nothing special. Her boyfriend liked his shrimp and zucchini over pasta. For dessert, each couple shared some tiramisu. If you like whipped cream, which I do, you will like this version. It was a small piece covered in whipped cream and was light and airy. Another odd thing -- we were charged for our water. We didn't order water. It was immediately poured into glasses from a small supermarket bottle as we were seated. We each got half a bottle in a glass for which we were charged $2.50. The prices are quite expensive. I'm still glad we went here. We had a good time with our friends. But now I know...

AMAZING little italian place and feels so homey once you're inside. One of the best pasta meals i've ever had. Everything is homemade and makes you feel like you're being served in Italy. Make a reservation since tables are limited, you will regret not going!

We met friends here for dinner. A small quaint place off the beaten path of US 1 in Dania. The service was good and cheerful. The garlic bread is slices of unseeded Rye with some Pesto and garlic.I ordered the Pappardelle with Lamb which , as described by our server, as homemade Pappardelle pasta with tender lamb in a brown sauce. The dish was cold when first served, to the mouth and,( I know because because it wasn't melting the dusting of cheese sprinkled on top.) The dish was reheated and the lamb fibers (not chunks) were scarce and the sauce was a pale beige. The Pappardelle noodles were good but very disappointed with the lamb and sauce. If we weren't dining with the other couple, ( their choice of locations ), I would have sent my dish back a second time. The oranges served after dinner were sweet.

This place is a hole in the wall scam. Waiter was condensing when asked questions about food/service. Food was worse than Costco's frozen aisle and the alfredo tasted like white gravy with zero flavor. Do NOT recommend this place to anyone in the area. Prices were outrageous too. The waiter calling us "Captain" and "Young girl" was super annoying after the 25th time
