For the price point, the food is absolutely not worth it. It wasn't bad necessarily but I've had better pasta for less money, especially in Fishtown. Paying that much for pasta that was just okay and then leaving hungry is unacceptable. I had the creste de gallo and husband had the gnocchi. Service was good, it's nice inside and I'm glad they made such a small space work. I just wouldn't go back or tell anyone to go there to satiate a pasta craving.

We were able to snag a last minute reservation on a Wednesday night for 2. The resturant itself is small , not too big. I thought the serving sizes were very small for the price and the food was just OK. We got 2 pasta's and the focaccia bread with stracciatella with strawberry, it was really good. We also ordered the butter poached cod puttanesca and the pork belly capalleti, which we thought was just OK. I never finish my entree but I left feeling I could eat more. Service was good! Very nice vibes for date night but food was OK.

While swimming and discussing when to go to Fishtown this week, my wife found Tulip and said we should go... She was hesitant, but I said, let's shower and go... So, she then said it was my idea... And she never gets to do things she wants... We always do what I want... I dried off and booked a reservation. Traffic was going to take an hour, but by the time we showered, it only took forty minutes. We wanted to walk around a bit, but it seemed too difficult to kill time, so we walked in and asked if there was a table available earlier. There was and we were promptly seated. We were in Fishtown to get Ice Cream, but then our server mentioned the tasting menu... Two appetizers, three entrees, and two desserts... How could we turn that down? Foccacia came out first, followed by charcoal meatball skewers. Both were so good. Pork Belly Cappelletti came out next almost like a soup... Soaking in delicious broth. Carrot Caramelles, with rhubarb and brown butter might have been my favorite. Like little candies. Followed up by pappardelle & Rabbit sausage. The meal was great. The bar sent out drinks so fast. Our server told me they are prebatched, so they can just pour. Fantastic service all around. We ate some s'more semifreddo there (since we couldn't take it home) and a lemon ricotta cake to go. The food was awesome, but the pleasantness and hospitality of the staff is what made this a solid five...

We had the most outstanding meal in this quiet little neighborhood eating establishment in Fishtown. The restaurant itself had the intimacy of eating in someone's home with beautiful lighting and ambience. It definitely had a cool vibe. We were seated in the back room which was very cozy and quieter. This was perfect for my mother in law who has reduced hearing and she had no problem hearing any of the conversation. We had impeccable service. Our waitress wasn't warm and fuzzy but she was super efficient. Our courses were spaced perfectly and they would give us fresh plates and utensils between courses. We opted to do the tasting menu and we were able to do it with my husband even though he is a vegetarian. We were given two appetizers, three pastas and two desserts and they provided enough for the four of us. Each course came out with two bowls of the same thing other than dessert so there was plenty for everyone. We started with the tuna crudo and grilled asparagus with a fennel spring onion sauce. The tuna had fennel, grapefruit and blood orange in it and it was delicious. The real standout was the grilled asparagus. I think asparagus is okay as a vegetable but this one was off the charts good. It was grilled and seasoned perfectly and the bechamel sauce was so good that we were eating it with a spoon. For the pastas, we did the carrot caramelle, which had a candy shaped pasta and a sauce that was sweet and savory at the same time. It was definitely a crowd favorite. The seared ricotta gnocchi was also delicious and had a arugula, pistachio and pesto sauce. Our third choice was the duck fat carbonara. The sauce was a little heavier than the other pastas, but it was worth every calorie. We enjoyed the little pieces of duck ham in it.The finale was the s'mores semifreddo and ricotta fritters. They were both AMAZING. We were really obsessed with the s'mores dessert and the frozen chocolate nougat was SO good. This seriously may be my favorite dessert at any restaurant I have ever been to. The ricotta fritters didn't disappoint either. They were like little round cinnamon sugar donuts that you dipped in a crème anglaise dessert. This was an exceptional dining experience perfect for a date night or an intimate dinner with friends. It had everything: amazing food, great service and ambience. Your hardest challenge will be finding parking in Fishtown. Dinner for four without any alcohol, was $300 with tip so it wasn't cheap but the meal was more than worth it!

Finally got the chance to check this place out! Have to make reservations in advance but I did see online recently that they do accept walk ups for a certain amount a day. We did the tasting menu which is 2 apps, 3 pastas and 2 desserts for $55 a person - recommend to do to taste everything. Highly recommend the veggie asparagus dish (it's it's still on the menu when you go) because it was so fresh and delightful. Focaccia and stracciatella was excellent but don't fill up on it. Now the pastas...oh man! So unique and different. Definitely not your traditional Italian pasta (in a great way). Each dish we had had something unexpected in it (like 5 space or rhubarb) and we loved them all. They use all local or PA ingredients (if they can I'm sure) including their wine which was also very nice (but limited selection) Dessert was great, as expected- some s'mores dish that was my fav and the ricotta donut holes.Overall, worth the hype - definitely a place to celebrate something special.

Great little spot in Fishtown! We came here to celebrate my birthday, as we have walked by it many times and I've been wanting to try it. I would definitely advise making a reservation. We were seated in the back room (which we didn't know they had) next to the window! It was very intimate and a perfect spot for a date night. The server was wonderful and walked us through the menu. We decided to do the $55 tasting menu per person which included 2 appetizers, 3 pastas, and 2 desserts. For the appetizers, we got the fried cauliflower and the polenta hush puppy. The cauliflower was the highlight! The pecorino cheese sauce it came with was to die for. For the pastas, we got the ricotta gnocchi, beef agnolotti, and duck fat carbonara. All were great, with the gnocchi being both of our fav! And lastly for dessert, we had the ricotta fritters and casaba cake! The fritters were the better of the two in my opinion, but the cake was still good. The only aspect of the meal that wasn't my favorite was the wine. They partner with a local vineyard, and the red wine we had just wasn't for us so we will probably drink a cocktail or bring wine next time! But overall would definitely recommend and will be back!

Overall 3-3.5 stars. Food: we got 2 pasta dishes and 2 hot apps. Chicken: left something to be desired. Not dry, but was served with a verde which didn't match the flavor. Broccoli rabe: fried and crunchy, it was flavorful and we enjoyed this. Buttery mushroom pastina: the mushrooms were great, creamy dish with a melting Brie type cheese in the center which was unique. Tagliatelle ragu: our favorite one of the two pasta dishes, red sauce based but we were disappointed in the lack of meat chunks. Service: excellent. Polite and quick, attentive. No complaints. Ambience: sitting at the kitchen was the best, watching the cooks is always a unique experience. They serve wines, beers and liquors from PA only which is unique. A small selection of wines. Overall a good experience, but nothing was so outstanding that I need to go back. If asked to go, I would join a friend.

Def recommend a reservation because this place is tinyyyyyy but it's such a nice, quaint atmosphere. Our server was attentive and super sweet. I had a glass of the riesling which paired well with our food. Started with the focaccia which was divine, especially with the cranberry ricotta. My friend and I shared the pesto gnocchi and beet mac & cheese. The gnocchi were incredible but the mac & cheese wasn't our favorite yet still fun to try.

Perfect for a girl's night out or date. HOWEVER, it is not the most intimate setting depending on where you're sitting. The tables were far too close together to other groups to the point where i actually requested to be seated in a somewhat secluded spot by a window. I give them five stars because they were accommodating with this request. The food was also delicious! I had the Cacio de Pepperoncini and we also ordered their focaccia. I enjoyed both. The portions are pretty big, so i ended up taking a lot of the pepperoncini home.
