If you're expecting it to be like the Los Angeles location, you'll be disappointed. Houston honestly just can't have nice things. Flavour-wise, not terrible but the taste here is blander. The tsukemen broth was not as thick and rich, and it wasn't even hot. One of the best parts of tsukemen is the fusion of cold noodles into hot broth, but every element was around room temperature here. The price is maybe slightly cheaper than in Cali. The deluxe version here comes with an assortment of different cuts of pork, but I didn't think any of them were that great. The standard is more worth it, imo. The pulled pork wasn't cooked well; it still had that gamey, meaty, strong taste, and it was very overpowering. Service-wise, very mediocre. I understand they're pretty new but when I went, they had been open for about longer than a month. Our server got the order wrong 3 times, and we kept having to wait longer and longer for our food. I wasn't expecting outstanding Japanese-level service since the Cali location is actually partially Japanese staffed, but some of the staff here just seem lost and uninterested. Instead of bringing us the cheque, our server kept going into the back and avoiding us after making so many mistakes. I get mistakes happen, but I don't think he ever even apologised once. I do hope Tsujita management makes some changes to bring the standards up. I was initially optimistic because I love this place whenever I'm in L.A., but this Houston location reflects the city of Houston in general: mediocre.

LA or Houston, the dipping ramen tastes exactly the same. Noodles are bouncy and chewy as the way it should be.The broth was phenomenal, the bonito or fish taste lingered thru the entire meal. And once you are done with the noodles, a fill of dashi broth provides another dimension into the meal.As Ketoish practitioner, I don't mind going for a bowl of noodles during my cheat day of carbs

We came here on a weekday night to avoid the crowd as this place was relatively new to the area and the wait was long on busy weekend nights. They are known for their dipping ramen from Japan. I love the modern and minimalistic interior. Our waitress was very friendly and service was quick given they weren't too busy. I opted for the spicy Hakata tonkotsu since I wasn't in the mood for the dipping ramen. People tend to make the mistake of pouring the ramen broth into the noodles instead of dipping the noodles into the broth. The waitress will inform you of this if it's your first time eating this concept. Broth was rich and creamy with the right amount of spicy. Portion was good. We also ordered calamari and takoyaki. The calamari was not what I expected and for the price, I wish it had more. Overall, it was a good experience.

Good new ramen offering in Houston. The new restaurant had good decor and staff was attentive.Chashu rice bowl with pork belly- the best item of the day. The pork belly was tender and had a good mixture of meat and fatty pieces. The rice was also good. Would return for this dish. 5/5Tsukumen- not as good as expected. The flavor was ok but did not blow me away. 3/5Tsujita buns- tries the pork belly and fried shrimp but it wasn't anything special. 3/5Takoyaki- good flavor and texture. No complaints. 5/5

Priciest bowl of tsukemen I've ever had. The chashu and broth were salty. From the deluxe bowl, the pulled pork tasted a little too smokey/bbq flavor which I think didn't go well with broth. The noodles had a nice bouncy texture and the egg was cooked well. The spice bomb had a decent kick. I don't think I would come back for the price point.

This was absolutely amazing!!! My only critique is I wish the edamame sticks came with more than 2 or there was an option for 4.

Wait time was awful. Service was terrible because staff wasn't trained properly. Food was meh, had better in Japan. They brought out dessert first before the appetisers and ramen.Tiramisu tasted heavily on the cream side instead of the coffee and chocolate. Takoyaki was okay and similar to ones you can get at izakaya wa or toukei. Fried chicken needed seasoning and was over fried. They needed to use dark meat instead of white because it was not juicy.Tsukemen ramen was good but it did not have me think that it was the best in the world. Not sure if we would go back until service and food quality improves drastically and stays consistent. The tonkotsu ramen was alright but it could have benefitted from a different type of noodle (curly) for a better mouthfeel. They also ran out of pork belly. So the portion was small.

Ahh man I realllyyyyy wanted to like this place! There's a few new restaurants in this newly reconstructed shopping plaza. The aroma smelled so promising as we exited the car and walked into the restaurant. Modern, cool interior, very clean. All of the servers were attentive so there was no problem with the service whatsoever! We ordered a few things off the menu. To start we had the Gyoza Pork dumplings (pretty good) and the "Spiced" French Fries which are just regular curly fries (Jack in the box has better seasoned curly fries) my kids didn't even eat the fries...and kids love fries!Next we decided to order some Tsujita buns, we ordered pork belly (it was ok) and karaage chicken (bland). The tacos are placed in this parchment paper which unfortunately sticks to the boa buns which we had trouble getting off. Also it rips the buns leaving it on the parchment paper. Both were under seasoned to me. Lastly we ordered the fried chicken bowl. Fried chicken in some type of sweet soy sauce. Looked great but nothing special about the flavors in the dish. Overall I was pretty disappointed. I believe the guy next to me was as well I heard him complaining to his waitress he didn't like his soup/broth. As I was given the check I asked if I could pay cash (which the server looked annoyed) yes I get it everyone pays by card and Apple Pay (which I regularly use). She looked annoyed and responded they do accept cash but they have no change to give me back (I had a hundred dollar bill and some 20s) It was fine the change could go to the server, however it would've been nice to know they prefer no cash. Our experience was a bust and I definitely don't see myself going there again.

Finally Houston got a legit tsukemen place!! The noodle was bouncy and chewy. The broth was thick and creamy so it coated the noodles really when dipping. Their toppings were phenomenal! The chashu was thick, flavorful and melted in your mouth. The soft boiled egg was cooked perfectly, and menma (bamboo shoot) was well seasoned. Overall it was a hearty meal and I already looked forward to the next visit before leaving the restaurant. Though it's worth mentioned that the broth lacks umami, so it was blander than expected. But this bowl of tsukemen still reminds me so much of those I had in Japan. Very glad we finally have such a great ramen place in Houston!Do not recommend takoyaki though. There are better places in Houston :)

Very mid ramen. It tasted fine but considering that the miso was $14 and the tsukemen was $20 it was very not worth the price. The karaage was also very mid. Very batter-y.The restaurant itself looks really nice but the AC was very weak so it was really hot inside, making it hard to enjoy the ramen. They also seem understaffed as no one greeted us for five minutes after we walked in.Although the ramen was fine there's lots of other places on Westheimer that also have decent ramen but don't charge as much and provide a better experience so I'm giving it 2 stars.
