Was visiting and was craving pizza near my AirBnB. The lady at the counter was very friendly and suggested I try the Detroit- style pizza - and I wasn't disappointed! Next I had the New York style and that was great too. Go here for the friendly staff and some great pies!

The pizza is really tasty and the crust is honestly pretty perfect for DSP. Their pizza sauce was also so flavorful so was the buffalo chicken. The only disappointing piece was the misleading menu pricing. We paid about 36$ before tip for 8 small slices of Detroit style pizza. Half chicken half pepperoni. The menu says 28$ for buffalo chicken and 24$ for half and half. Worst case you'd think it'd be a middle ground, but they charged an extra 5.50 for half beef pepperoni. Again, really really good but the price is very steep. Granted it's probably really expensive to have such a central location so I've taken that into considering. Would just be better to have transparent pricing as well as more realistic portions for a large. With that being said, I'll definitely come back and maybe get a slice or two instead next time :)

Pizza is great! Wings not so much. They forgot much ranch so the service could be more precise.

We spent a quiet Sunday here with some awesome pizza, super cheesy cheese bread and some hot wings. If you can relate to some fresh dough, fire hearth oven and a chill outdoor vibe away from the sidewalk, then come holla. We try pizza all over and this one is on point!

If you know me, you know saying a place is black owned doesn't mean much to me. I'm about service and quality over the race of the owners. In addition, I work for the government. I'm aware that some businesses will use being a minority owned businesses model to gain access to special funding. That being said....I'll probably not return. They earned three stars because the food was good and that's 75% of the purpose for going out to eat. There is seating inside for about 8-10 people and outdoor patio seating but it was entirely too chilly for that today. So let's get to why they didn't earn the additional two stars. Cost. The website shows that a six piece wing is $7. It's $8.95. The menu on the counter where you order says a NY Pepperoni slice is $3.95. It's $5.55. I spent $41.33 on three slices, 12 wings, a sprite($4) and a bottled water ($3). I sat down, pulled out my calculator and the math was off so I went back to the counter for an explanation. This was when the VERY NICE lady that took our order offered a receipt and broke down the pricing. After going back to the table, she brought over a menu, I'm not sure where it came from, because, it's not the one on the counter when you order, but she showed me where someone had adjusted the pricing on several items. I don't like when restaurants take advantage of changing their prices but won't incur the expense or time of correcting their menu/website.I ordered the bourbon sauce wings. The website says it comes with lemon pepper sprinkles but the counter menu showed that lemon pepper sprinkles is 75 cents. I've been to NY and had the pizza. I thought the crust was really thin but admittedly it was a good slice of pizza. I spent 60 cents to add mushrooms to one of the slices and agree that's reasonable for an extra topping. The water was Kirkland brand. I have a BJs account, so I know a case of water is $4 so if I'm doing the math they're making a $100 on a case of water and charging 75 cents to sprinkle some lemon pepper seasoning on wings. I don't like it. Parking. They validate parking to the lot attached to the restaurant up to an hour. Some how when I left I still owed $6. I don't know how that was possible since parking is $2 per 20 minute increment and we spent right at about an hour in the restaurant. I'm not holding the restaurant responsible for this but would suggest taking advantage of street parking. My dining partner spent $2 for parking on one of the side streets. Location - it's midtown so I drove past it twice before I realized I'd passed it. Can I blame the restaurant for this...probably not...but I will. If supporting black businesses is important to you then you'd probably be pleased with an opportunity to visit. $41 for three slices of pizza, wings. a sprite/water...feels very overpriced.

After Reading reviews about this establishment and finding out it is a family owned business we were eager to try it out. Got a New York style pizza to go and it was very good! The crust was great and it was really delicious. I placed my order over the phone and the staff was very nice both on the phone and once I arrived to pick up my order. The restaurant is nice and clean and has plenty of sitting Maybe next time we'll choose to dine-in.

Triple Jay's had excellent customer service but I'm sad to say the pizza was very disappointing for the price. My boyfriend ordered Detroit style without asking me - first mistake. We got home and it was 8 squares of pizza in an oversized box with barely any sauce or cheese for $30. We got half bbq chicken and half pepperoni - the pepperoni was scant and paper thin with very little flavor - try the beef pep instead, I didn't see that initially. It hurt me to write this review but I wish I would've known this was the case before we made this choice for Sunday dinner.I want all black owned businesses to succeed but due to this first impression, we'll be hard pressed to return.

Kinda hard to mess up pizza and Im sure this place probably can produce quality pies but there was something very off about my pizza. I'm not sure if it was the sauce or the cheese, but something was a bit on the funkier side. Had a friend try a slice and he confirmed it was a bit off... tried to drizzle some of my own hot honey on top and it didn't really do much help cuz the strange aftertaste was overpowering. I learned that this was a black owned business so perhaps I'll return one day and see what else they offer.

Small family owned pizza establishment that offers both NY and Detroit style pizza. You can also purchase slices which is a rare find in the midtown or downtown area. Slices were a little pricey so we opted for a small Detroit style pizza which consists of four square slices. Dough is soft and not over powering and the external crust has a cheesy crust. There is a small area to eat inside and there is also an outside area to dine. Dogs were welcome outside. It took approximately 15 minutes for or order to be ready and the owner brought it to our table. All staff were friendly and our pizza was good. There is only street parking available. If you live in the area you should give them a try.

The pizza was delicious, it almost reminded me of my pizza joint in the Bronx, NY. Nothing comes close to my New York City pizza shop, but Triple Jays will definitely see my family again when we want some New York style pizza :-) We were greeted in a friendly manner and customer service was excellent. We dined outside and enjoyed the fresh air and our surroundings. Highly recommend.
