This hidden dive bar is a great place to drink, play poker, shuffle board and watch a game or two. The drinks are moderately priced. The bartenders are quick and friendly.

I'm a sucker for this place. My boyfriend and I first discovered the Triple Crown when playing laser tag next door and sprinting to the bar for a beer in between games (judge me if you will). We had never seen so many shuffle board tables in our lives. I'm more of a pool player (they now have a pool table too) , but we spent the night with regulars teaching us tricks of the trade. Several beers later I was ecstatic to find out they were hosting karaoke that night (Saturdays). That's one of the reasons I drive from Sugar Land on the regular. There really are some great voices and everyone cheers you on. They don't play favoritism and it's usually pretty quick to get on stage.Steve the bar tender learned our names right off the bat and is always friendly and on top of anything you need. The crowd ranges from late 20s to 60s. Everyone is their own genuine character and there's never a shortage of conversations. The food is frozen but when you are hungry at 1am there really isn't any complaining on my part when a plate of jalapeno poppers and set in front of me. I do see that they sometimes have cookouts though. Overall I always seem to have fun here.

If you LOVE shuffleboard, then this is heaven!!!! I don't know what it is about shuffleboard, but it just seems so fitting to play while drinking a big frosty mug of beer. This place is definitely not in my neck of the woods, but I ended up venturing out to Triple Crown because it was one of my boyfriend's coworkers going away party. It's located in a strip mall that on any other day, I would simply drive by without taking a second look.I really didn't know what to expect when we pulled into the parking lot. From the looks of the patrons outside it was an older crowd, mid 40s-50s and then some folks in their late 20s early 30s, which I was assuming were the people we were going to be meeting up with. We walked in and I got a happy feeling because I saw about 15 shuffleboard tables...woo hoo!!! Unfortunately, I found out that there was a shuffleboard tournament going on that night and well I would have to wait until the tournament was over to get a chance to play...sucks!So to kill time while I wait for a table to open up, I order a large Blue Moon. It was a big and heavy mug that's for sure but the ice cold beer definitely hit the spot. We got a table in front of one of the larger TVs and luckily no one was really watching the TV (weird huh it's a sports bar but no one is really watching any of the sports). So we asked the waitress to change it to the NHL game. It took about 10 minutes for them to change the channel...way too long! I didn't try any of the food, but they serve your typical bar food. Most of it is frozen and just heated up in the oven because well they serve Digiorno pizza so I'm assuming nothing is made fresh. The service was OK. There was nothing spectacular about the bartender nor the waitress. They did their job. Atmosphere wise, it's an older crowd, or maybe it was because of the shuffleboard tournament, who knows. Would I go back here, probably if it was closer to my place, but it's a good drive and making that drive back after a few drinks doesn't seem very fun at all. So my 3-stars mainly comes from the fact it is shuffleboard heaven! Woo hoo!!!

Been coming here for years. I even frequented the "original" for years as they where then, one of my tenants in the strip. Great, friendly folks, talkin' 'bout m-m-my generation.

I got a wild hair and played poker here in their Sunday night Texas Hold-em tournament. This was my 1st tournament, and I'll probably do it again - it was really a great way to kill a Sunday night without the kids, hanging out amongst total strangers. This bar has high ceilings and kind of bar-like decor (Wha?), a very friendly bartender staff, good strong drinks, and I generally had a great time hanging with a bunch of middle aged smoking drinking redneck-types. I made it to the last table in the tourney (There was a rack of real Vegas-Style Poker chips at stake, and a few points toward entering the World Series of Poker - I won niether), flirted with a haggard yet friendly woman or two, and walked out pretty happy. Then I went to Spotlight and sang my oh so compelling and heart wrenching version of House of the Rising Sun to a crowd of about 10 people, then off to House of Pies for the Hangover Omelet (Wheat toast, whole milk), and then....oh, was I writing a review? I forgot and thought I was illustrating how empty and without true meaning or friendship my life has become...Yeah..............anyway, I'd recommend this as a pretty good place to kill a Sunday night when none of your friends are going anywhere and you're home alone without your kids and bored, and if you like Poker.....If it's within a couple miles of your house...and If you're not afraid of going out alone and mingling with strangers. Texas corner bar type strangers...sob...:)

This place has a little but of every thing so you will find something for yourself. Lots of nice well maintained shuffleboard tables, and usually many regulars to help a beginner learn the ropes.Full bar and a few beers on tap, but they have everything to wet your whistle. And when the grill is burning on the front patio ... Good everything comes off it. Worth trying if you are near by.
