This place tops all other restaurants I have been too! I am from New Orleans and we are very particular about our food. Especially when gumbo is on the menu. We attended my daughter's engagement party here. When I tel you the service was flawless...IT WAS FLAWLESS!We met the owner and Master Chef and his wife, they were a DIAMOND!Not a huge venue, but the ambiance and service was something you hope for on all levels. The attention to service was something I haven't experienced at any restaurant. The Chef/ Owner and his wife was something you hope you get and THEY DELIVERED!I will never never forget our experience at this restaurant. The chef/ owner made it an experience my family and. I will never forget! This is definitely a place to host memorable moments at. I can not thank them enough.Much love from New Orleans!!And I can not leave out the valet personnel! The gentleman made it who worked valet made the experience even better. Many thanks! And we will be back when we visit Houston!Epic!

So...have any other parties of 2 been sat beneath the stairs? Like literally under the stairwell? I ask because that's what happened to us last Friday night, 3/15/24. I glanced at some of the other reviews but didn't see anyone else mention that. While it wasn't anything that necessarily bothered us, it did take away our ability to really judge the restaurant's overall ambiance. However, based on what we had heard before going (that it can be a bit cramped and noisy - more on that later) that obviously wasn't our experience. We could talk and actually hear each other...even with an echo! And I will say that the service was pretty great. We never felt like we were forgotten about or anything like that...we even had service from Chef Triola (pronounced Tree-ola as he rightfully corrected me) himself, but it was still kinda strange. You can look at it two ways: Either we got a stellar and unexpected private dining experience, or (and it's unfortunate, but has to be said) as a minority couple, we felt a bit segregated. I'm a positive person, so I'll go with the former. However, I would want their management to note that being seated under the stairwell might not always be a well-received or even acceptable option with other guests. I would also advise the management to at least dress that area up a bit with maybe some photos or do a couch/long table for a more cozy and welcoming dining experience. In the current form, it felt like, "Dang, we're busy; stuff a table under the stairs. Let's hope they like it..." But I digress. The food is good, very good. But their menu doesn't have a lot of varied dietary options. If you're diet-restricted (keto, paleo, etc.), you'll have to tailor things quite a bit. I don't recall seeing gluten-free options, either. I had the Chicken Triola and just peeled off the fried skin. One big highlight is the Spicy Caesar Salad. It's excellent. I would consider going back and having this just for lunch. Pretty much everything has a sauce, but Chef kindly obliged when I requested mine on the side. I do want to reiterate that we had impeccable service, even on beverage refills. We never waited too long or felt rushed at any point...I mean, we were definitely out of the way so why rush us? This place definitely gets crowded (it's not too big). We were only under the stairs and didn't climb them, so we still don't know what the upstairs looked like. It also did seem a bit noisy in the dining room, but the loudest noise came from the kitchen. Someone was shouting from there loud enough to have even startled one of the other guests (an older woman) behind us. Chef was apologetic to her and explained that's just how they talk to each other, and it's all love. It reminded us of that FX show "The Bear." Again, based on our seating location, I'm sure the kitchen noises traveled a bit further than usual, too. I don't know if we'll be back anytime soon, but if we do, we may just go for the spicy Caesar at lunchtime. They have complimentary valet parking, but we just street-parked by Spanish Flower and walked across. But then again, it's hard to pass up a lunch at Spanish Flower...

This place is amazing!! The owner/chef spends time to talk to you and introduce you to his food. The Oso Bucco is tasty and rich. Great to share and well as most of the dishes!! The appetizer of mussels were mouth watering and buttery tasty. BYOB or cross the street to the small liquor store that has some amazing selection of wines to accompany your dinner!!

Triola's deserves more than 5 stars. This place is amazing. The food is well prepared and the staff is very attentive and super nice. Triola's offers family style dinner and also individual dishes which are good enough to share as well. We went with my family to celebrate a birthday and Chef Frank took care of us. It's very rare to see a Chef greeting and taking care of the customers. He was all over the restaurant speaking to his customers and making sure everyone had a good time. All the dishes that we ordered were amazingly delicious. Pasta alla Gabriella and Penne salcieccia are one of Frank's favorites and they were delicious. They do not sell alcohol but you can bring your own alcohol beverages. If you love italian food and excellent service, I recommend you try this place. You will not regret it. My family and I will definitely be back. Thank you Chef Frank for an amazing dinner.

After seeing all the hype online about this place, I decided it was time to finally go. We did a triple date here with a couple friends. The feel is more of like a house than a restaurant. Simple feel since the main focus is on the food and service. We started with stuffed mushrooms and calamari. I am one who would have never ordered mushrooms on my own. However these were great. Not sure the meat they were stuffed with but paired great with the cream sauce. The calamari with marinara was great. Not rubbery at all. Great portions too. My entree was not my personal favorite. However, I wouldn't not recommend it to together. The amount of olives were just a bit much for me. Lesson learned. The chef told me in the future I am welcome to ask for it without or less. Either way though my scallops were perfectly cooked. My husband had a meal with a variety of seafood and spicy marinara which was great. The dessert sampler was the perfect way to finish out the meal. They offer it with coffee or expresso. Considering the food coma I'm in I likely should have gone with this option. The cheesecake and tiramisu were my favorites. The key lime pie with chocolate chip crust also deserves an honorable mention. Please note that it is BYOB if you like to indulge. Also there is a chance of being sat upstairs. Make sure to make reservations also due to limited seating.

A bit pricey for lunch and parking can be tricky, but the food and service was so good. It is BYOB. A very intimate area downstairs and the upstairs is able to accommodate larger parties. Owners are very responsive to requests for private parties. PRO-PARENT TIP: No formal kid's menu but the Chef/Owner is able to make any side dish into a kid option. My son loved the spaghetti with marinera!

Triola's is right near our house and we have been wanting to try it out. They have valet, but also a parking lot right next door. Service is great, they greeted us and immediately provided water. It's Bring Your Own Wine which is nice. We came originally for Houston Restaurant Week but didn't order anything off the menu. We got calamari as the appetizer. Our waitress was the owner's wife and she highly recommended it and she wasn't wrong! My husband got seafood lasanga and I got the meatballs and spaghetti. Both dishes were extremely delish. I love the angel hair pasta! Dessert was good. We got cannolis (which were okay) and cheesecake which was better.definitely recommend coming for a cute little date night!

I am speechless. The food was INCREDIBLE. I was floored at how delicious and tasty everything was. The Caesar salad was delicious--the dressing had a spice to it but balanced well with the slight sweetness from the croutons. I would eat this salad everyday. The chicken Vincent was also delicious. The flavors from the Balsamic and the sun-dried tomatoes--wow. The seafood lasagna is a MUST. That sauce is what dreams are made of. It was phenomenal! For dessert we had the puddin 4 layer and it was divine. So rich and creamy. We also ordered coffee which was legit...not some watered down coffee. Quality 10/10. The chef himself came out to introduce himself and check on our food. He also gave his recommendations based on what we liked. The ambience could be better--it's a small place and everyone's close to each other. However, the food is definitely the best Italian in Houston--the other instagrammable places don't even come close. I am so glad this place isn't all over social media yet. It's definitely a hidden gem and the quality is far superior to any other Italian restaurant in Houston. I cannot wait to come back!!
