Full disclosure: I have never visited the actual restaurant; all my experience is based on delivery. Thanks to this place, Sichuan has become my new comfort food. Every dish I have ever ordered has tasted fresh and delicious. The hot and spicy dumplings are just f a b u l o u s. I have tried every steamed dumpling on the menu and love them all, especially the Shu Mai. Hot and sour soup is excellent. The pork bao is also good - not the very best I've ever eaten, but I generally show grace toward steamed foods that don't like to travel. Going to try the Dan Dan noodles next.

I came back a couple of times since the last time and wanted to update my review. Eggplants and green bean love 5/5 Still my favorite dish. It is so savory and flavorful. Veggies soaks up the sauce and is so soft. Chili dumplings 3/5Dumpling wrap is just too thick for my liking but I can say the sauce is very addictive. Singapore noodles 4/5It's good. Light curry flavor. I like the portion. Very easy to share. Buns 5/5Pretty soft and insides were gushing with hot goodness. Beef 3/5 It's decent but I've has spicier from elsewhere.

Well well well. Trendy dumpling. Overall food was pretty good. Kind of mid. Service is great and so is the overall scenery, it's very homey. But the food is okay. To make a long story short. Keep it 100 keep it factual you already know me. The shumai... I feel like I got catfished. The online photos where beautiful but the taste was missing LOVE. The color of the wrapping was like dull... not yellow like the way they have it in they pics. 4/10The dragon fruit refresher... im not even sure if the photo they have on they're menu is real. When I saw that photo I felt like a hot Houston day I need TO GET REFRESHED. I NEED SOME GOOD SPARKLING SENSATION. What did I get? I got dragonfly juice. My expectations where so high looking at the photo on the menu and here I am, drinking dragonfly juice all sad when I should've just got a coke. -7,800/ 10The noodles there overall are just a 6/10 nothing crazy. They spicy tho not gonna lie. For someone like me that can't handle spicy. I drank 4 cups in like 2 seconds it was HOT. The pot of vegetables was around $14.50. Pretty good if you ask me as in flavor and taste. But I wish they had a SMALL and LARGE ordering because why did I get served a amount of food to feed my village back in my country. NOT COMPLAINING but I don't want to bring extra food with me in the car smelling like veggie world. 7.5/10Soup dumplings are the highest on this list. Pretty good not going to lie. I like the taste it was fire. Would I eat it again? Yes I will. Not much to say but one thing is I wish the dumplings came out hotter. Then all of my dishes came out none where STEAMINGGG HOTTT WITH WET AND JUICYNESS. it was just like ayyy go eat. I want to burn my tongue and feel the sensation of eating at trendy dumplings. 8.5/10Spicy pork dumplings They looks so good and it's like I fell for a trap. It's like driving around looking for a parking spot, you find out jus to see it's a little mini copper tucked all the way in. These dumplings looked so good. My mouth was watering and like JUST BRO I WAS LITERALLY GOING INSANE. I put it in my mouth and I started to look for Joel Osteen. These where so mid and another scenario of me being so high with expectations from the look and presentation but the dish was just so bad. 2/10Hot tea 10/10 Water 10/10 The portions are also insane outside of the dumpling. There was a table next to us that was eating and they left with five takeout boxes. Keep in mind it was only two people. This dinner was just me and my girlfriend and we left with four to go boxes with enough food for 3 more meals. As an Asian who has gone around the country of AMERICA and have tried dozens, almost hundreds of Asian restaurants I feel very dissatisfied with my experience ON THE FOOD. FOOD ONLY. just to make it clear everyone in there was nice and pleasant but the food man just mannnnnnn.

What a cool and different experience. The food here is different from my usual favorite Szechuan places. It has a deeper flavor profile and less spice. We had the pork bao. Lots of bao. Little bit of pork. The crispy spicy chicken was solid. Different from Szechuan places in good ways and highly recommended. Service is efficient but not personal. I don't mind that at all. It's worthy of a regular visit

Been here a few times now, and it's a solid spot serving authentic Chinese flavors. Honestly the most appealing thing about this place is the location. It's conveniently along the 59 north feeder road, in the shopping center lining the road.Despite having dumpling in its name, I've found the dumplings to be mediocre compared to its nearby competitors. My water boiled fish was on the bland side. The cold cucumber appetizer was all right. I enjoyed the crispness. My friend really enjoyed the bbq pork buns.Overall nice spot. I wouldn't put it as my top spot, but I would happily return.

TLDR: a solid place - beautiful ambiance. Decent food.I have mixed feelings when writing this review. I didn't particularly like or dislike this place. This was my first time eating "traditional Sichuan dishes" (as per their website) and I guess it's not for me!Be warned: the Sichuan pepper numbs your tongue and throat which kinda freaked me out! Thus, I despised the Dan Dan noodles which had Sichuan pepper in it, NOT NECESSARILY because they were poorly made but because of the freaky numbing sensation. If that's your thing, then by all means, this is probably your place. The other dishes were pleasant - although not spectacular - including the dumplings (6 per serving) and Sichuan-Style Biang Noodle. My waiter spoke broken English but that's not a knock against the Trendy Dumpling - he was very friendly and speedy. What I liked the most was the ambiance. The decor was exceedingly cute and the seating area was fairly comfortable.I personally probably won't come back since I learned I abhor the Sichuan pepper, but I didn't dislike the Trendy Dumpling overall.

Trendy modern Chinese restaurant, a great place to eat lunch and share family style with old friends. We ordered the pan fried dumplings, chicken soup dumplings, pork dumplings, biang biang noodles, combination fried rice, mapo tofu, and fried chicken cube. Soup dumplings are nice and plump, come with a tangy vinegar sauce and cute colorful tongs. I like their big serving size, satisfies the craving and I appreciate the thin wrapper and good meat ratio. Chili wontons, fried rice were solid. I lovedddd the fried chicken cube, very flavorful and spicy!! And the biang biang noodles were good too, it came with a lot of asparagus and green onions. Our group ended up ordering two more servings of dumplings lol. I'd recommend trying once!

Best Soup dumplings by far in Houston! I love the String Beans and cream puffs. It's also very affordable and love the aesthetic inside. I would definitely recommend family and friends.
