Nachos were delish as usual. At $15 which I'm assuming because I asked for extra pico was a bit pricy but overall worth it. You can't see but the refried beans underneath were tasty too. There is cheese but in not covered which is nice because I like the veggies.

I ordered a torta with adobada meat and a pineapple fresca for lunch. Came out to 18 bucks. The torta was huge but super dry. At first, I thought the bread was toasted, and maybe it was, but it was also super stale. The sandwich was mostly bread and definitely stale. I couldn't finish it. The adobada meat was cubed chunks, kinda tasty, but no punch of flavor. There was no sauce, only refried beans. Good thing I asked for mayo. The rest of the ingredients were just there hanging out, hiding under all the bread as if to say, "I'm here so that I don't get fined." The pineapple agua fresca had like a teaspoon of pineapple flavor to the 30 oz of sugar water. I want it to be better with every sip. I'm trying to make myself drink it because I paid for it. But this was a disappointing lunch aside from the hot fries that came with the meal. Service was okay. She was quick to give me my order, not too engaging, hardly any eye contact.The place is located right across from the court house at the top of the hill.

Went here recently for lunch, it as it was within walking distance from my office. Friendly service and the tostadas were so yummy! If you're in the Court House area, give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Found this place while serving on jury duty . This place is a gem for authentic mexican food. Delicious good and amazing customer service. They give you complimentary chips and salsa which were both homemade and delicious. Affordable pricing and even better food, everything tasted good and they don't use too much salt which is a bonus. Will definitely be coming back to try out some more menu options.

OUTSTANDING! Can not wait to come back! I had just left the Elmwood Zoo and was a bit hungry. I decided to google "best food in Norristown" and TreJo was at the top!!! Haven't had any great Mexican in a while so, I decided to try it. quickly read a few reviews and went with the Chipoltle Chicken Quesadilla and Steak Nachos. Everything was ready by the time I drove from the zoo. It was hot and fresh! the guac was oh-so fresh and yummy. I'm not a big guac fan but, I could eat that with a spoon! The nachos had beans on them DO NOT CARE FOR BEANS! Well normally but, I didnt know they came on the nachos and when I saw them I decided to give it a try... really really good! I was told because they are made fresh. I am a bean lover now! As well as guac I just wasn't enjoying well-prepared beans and guac apparently. I can not wait to bring my friends and family back. The sauces and sides were also very very fresh. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The staff was polite, friendly, and kind. Prices VERY fair. So happy I found this gem! Will be a repeat customer as I am a zoo member but, I will also happily travel from South Philly too!

Trejo Restaurant on Swede Street, just down a bit from the Montgomery County Courthouse, is a very good casa Mexicana in the heart of Norristown. It has about ten tables and a small kitchen in the back corner. The menu has a full monte of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The people working there appear to be family and are likely ownership. They are friendly, hospitable and seem proud of their establishment. It was late lunchtime, so a small Torta (sandwich) of thin sliced breaded beef caught my attention. When it arrived I knew that the adjective "small" was not really operative. This was a mega-sliced opus at least three inches thick, layered with beans, lettuce, avocado, tomato and spicy mayo, all held in a fresh roll with extra long toothpicks. The crisp fries were nice, but totally over the top unnecessary. The torta was great. Too wide for my jaws to clench, I partially deconstructed it by removing a couple of layers of the tasty res empanada, and rebooting it to a manageable dimension. From there, every bite was a delicious combination of all the ingredients exploding in my mouth. At $10 I felt bad that I couldn't finish it. Still, it was one of the better authentic Mexican plates I have enjoyed in long while. The good news is that my Norristown office is right down the street, so Trejo can become a regular stop when I am here for office meetings.

Stopped in randomly with a hankering for some cucina auténtico, but toting a picky 7yr old along can make that a little tricky. I loved how the quesadillas were well-made and substantial but not too spicy, my son loved them. I ordered the fajitas texanas y son muyyyyyy rrrricas! Awesome! They were delicious. Highly recommended .

I've been going here for over a decade, mostly with my wife, when we meet for lunch. Everything we've ever had, has been very delicious. It's a small spot, with big flavor. 10 outta 10, will recommend .

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food and you are near the County Courthouse, this is a great choice. Stopped here for lunch while on jury duty. Four of us got the chicken burrito which came with a small scoop of guac. Some chips and salsa verde also came to our table. Excellent prompt service!
