My wife and I showed up hungry the night before Harvey hit. We were told the kitxhen was closed because the cook couldn't make it in. However, the owner came up and told me to order whatever we wanted, that she'd turn everything on and cook whatever we wanted. She did, and the food was excellent. I visit this place about two or three times a month because the food and service are great.

I started going here after work with a girlfriend. It's a pretty quiet and friendly crowd that comes around. Bartenders name is Bass...she's generous with drinks. I asked about snacks very pleasant. She said she can pop up some popcorn or warm up some leftover clam chowder. That meant a lot at the time meaning she's willing to go the extra mile. I've brought more friends from work...very consistent with the drinks. Friday they have karaoke. ..we aren't professionals so of course we had loads of fun. This is a cool place to start your own fun and not feel embarrassed. No one judges. The Treehouse is great place to unwind before going home after a bad day at work. I will give another review after trying their lunch menu....

This is a hidden gem. There is smoking indoors but it's a cute family owned bar with great food during lunch hours and awesome staff. If you like the homey feel I would recommend checking this place out

Updated review. The first experience was bad 53 weeks ago. This one was VERY good. Hummm. The service was excellent, today, and the beer was freezing like it was pulled out of an iced cooler at the beach. Well Done.

Dive bar? Not quite. Local bar? Yes! That could either be good or bad, depending on your perspective. I'm not a smoker, and I was probably the only one not smoking. Fortunately, not too many patrons there on this Tuesday evening, so it was not too smokey. Certainly not enough to turn me away, so I gave it a shot. Cheeseburger with fries were quite good. Plus two Shiners, and the bill totaled $18. I wanted the chicken fried steak, but they had no mashed potatoes prepared. You simply can't have one without the other, and that's a simple fact as far as I'm concerned. I gave three stars for the following reasons...1) A table of ~6 people, all in their 40's and 50's, were playing quarters at one of the tables. Really? Do they also sit around at home and practice? I'm about the same age and probably last played quarters about 25 years ago. Very odd to observe this, especially at a bar.2) The lady next to me at the bar was around that same age. I noticed that her bill was $51...just for herself. Based on her brief, slurred conversation with me, I could tell she had a bit to drink. Considering her bar tab was 3x mine, I'd say my assumption was correct. She paid, left and returned after a few minutes saying that she could not find her credit card. Bartender insisted she gave it back. I think she eventually found it. She was a hot mess.3) The guy at the end of the bar was Mr. Cliche and Mr "I quote movie lines to sound funny and cool and pretend like I thought of it all on my own". It got real old, real fast. Thank goodness he joined the others to play quarters so that I didn't have to listen to him any longer. So...yup...the crowd on this night was not my scene, and it appeared that they were all regulars. I'm probably coming off as judgmental and a bit like an a-hole, but I'm just telling it like I saw it. I was entertained (on the verge of disturbed) by the people watching. No need for me to return. Other reviews say "lots of big TV's". Really? I counted seven, and three were not even turned on. A couple were quite small for a sports bar. The personality and decor of the establishment (not including patrons) was average, at best. Sorry, but I just don't see how this place had 4.5 stars.
