Trattoria Totaro

Trattoria Totaro is on of the best byob Italian dinners I've had in a long time. It's a small restaurant and you basically feel like you're eating dinner in a house.For starters they bring out bread, butter, and oil. We got the mussels & garlic shrimp cocktails. Both were delicious although we were disappointed that there were only 4 shrimp came & cost $16. For dinner I got the Veal Abbruzi and it was absolutely delicious. It is deff one of the best veal dishes I've had in a long. The dinner portion size was HUGE! For dessert my husband and I split the chocolate cake.

I have been wanting to try this spot since I have moved to the area from Philly, nothing has seemed to hit the spot imo, it's either way over priced or just not really the best. I really really like Totaro's the service was wonderful and the food was really good. We did sit outside since inside seemed really loud but the outside was not the best so next time we will sit inside. We had mussels as an app and they were amazing I wish I had not had so much bread before they came bc the sauce was amazing!!! My husband had chicken Pavarotti it was great and I had a pasta dish that that was really good. I will say the home made pasta is really odd though it is almost like ramen, next time I will ask for a different pasta if that's possible. I really enjoyed my dinner and this may be our new "spot" definitely check it out.

They were really busy and it was late. It took a while before our waitress came to take our order. Therefore, we were not checked on often for water refill. The food was decent. Tye food took a long time to come out. The dish I got was decent. The tomato sauce lack some flavor. But my husband dish was better. His pasta tasted homemade and the white sauce was more flavorful.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. As someone who has eaten real bolognese and Italian food as an Italian, this was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. Bolognese is supposed to have meat and look completely different. I almost threw up after one bite. This is NOT real Italian food what so ever. Do NOT go here.

Great pasta, in fact it is the best home made pasta around. This is a cozy place with very good food and friendly service.

3.5/5 Ambiance. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I sat outdoors and they were playing some nice jazz music to set the vibe! Our seat did have the AC dripping on the side but it wasn't too bad. You see the sunset and it gives kind of like a beach vibe, with this restaurant at the corner of a neighborhood.4.5/5 Service. Our waitress was nice and knew the specials of the day really well. Everyone was so kind.4/5 Food. The bread basket here is AMAZING! My friend and I ate 4 baskets and craved for more the next morning . The bread is lightly toasted and has soft, chewy insides. We had the lobster ravioli for appetizer, which tasted so good. It is creamy but the lobster stuffing inside has a kick of spiciness, which balances it really well. You get 3 raviolis, which was perfect for an appetizer. The portion sizes for the pastas are really big, and I was so full when it was time for the entree (probably because of all the bread...) But overall, everything tasted pretty good!

Trattoria has ALWAYS made and created beautiful, unique and great tasting dishes. I discovered them in the late 90's while looking for a caterer for my place of employment. It is family owned and run and I always felt like family when I visit no matter how much time has passed.Which reminds me...I NEED TO MAKE A VISIT with my fur baby!Buon Appetito!

Amazing food, great service, nice vibe. Would recommend for any type of get together.

Small and intimate family owned BYOB. The ambiance is cool and the food is really great with good specials on rotation. It can get loud inside if it's crowded, but it feels more authentic that way.

Wonderful!! Outstanding food and service! Jenn, our waitress is exceptional!Very calming atmosphere. A real gem!
