Toscana is a gem that keeps me coming back for more. Their bruschetta is a burst of flavors, incredibly fresh and delightful. However, the salad, although fresh, didn't win me over due to the store-bought taste of the ranch dressing. Now, let's talk about the vodka sauce pasta. It's an absolute treat! I added mushrooms, onions, and spinach, a game changer. The portions are also huge, so they are shareable! One thing that stands out every time is the exceptional service. Whether it's my first visit or a return, the service has always been top-notch, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Speaking of consistency, Toscana nails it. Every dish I've tried here has been consistently excellent, matching not only in taste but also in the excellent service they provide.

Update: I was offered another opportunity by the manager to try their food to hopefully change my experience. Not sure if I would take that offer since I saw it late, but I would like to give them a better review for taking their best to make sure their customer's have a happy. So I commend them for that

Today, we let the kids decide what they wanted to eat. She said Italian! We wanted to try somewhere different. We tried Tuscana.Initially, we were sat promptly at our reservation time, although we were one of 2 tables occupied. The dining room is split in to two smaller rooms but with a warm decor. The me us have quite a few wines to pick from although we had soda (was very syrupy tasting). I had sausage cachitori. my stepson had linguini calamari, and my step daughter had bologna. The presentation was great, unfortunately taste did not live up to the presentation. I did like the red sauce in my cachitori.... But the sausage was mushy and completely void of flavor. All 4 of us did not like it. The linguini calamari tasted good but we all felt the it was slightly bland and undercooked. I would like to see a slight char on it if it's not deep fried calamari. The best dish was the bologna. It had a nice flavor that you'd expect. Last we ordered desert. Forgive me, I cannot remember the name.. But it's a broken canoli in a martini glass. If you like canoli then I'd think you might like it, but it didn't knock anyone's socks off.Service wasn't good. The server checked once on how the food was. Never once refilled our drinks until the very end after being asked. She took all our glasses before dessert was even at the table. 3 of us had empty glasses for half the dinner. Unacceptable. We wanted to like this establishment but the complete lack of service and bland food prevents me from recommending it.

One of our favorite restaurants in the Northwest suburbs (Arlington Heights)... excellent food-- excellent menu; add to that friendly and attentive service with very nice small restaurant ambiance. Prices are very reasonable. Recommend reservations.... A very popular restaurant. Rick and Sheila H.

Toscana is in a random location in Arlington Heights that is in a strip mall with other businesses that do not seem they belong together. Don't let this fool you. First, the restaurant is quite large, they have two dining rooms, so there is plenty of space. When you walk in, you're kindly greeted by the hostess on one side and the daily specials on the other. They offer some unique items. We went and enjoyed some classics that were prepared quite nicely. My other half enjoyed the Veal Parmigiana is fantastically breaded and the veal is not potent. The spaghetti is perfectly done and the sauce is well dressed on there. There are two veal cutlets, enough for two meals. I ordered the two finger cavatelli, which is home made pasta, in vodka sauce. This also had spinach and ricotta, and not too much where it overpowered the sauce. I also ordered a side of meatballs, made entirely of beef and in a tomato sauce. Each bite was delightful, perfectly binded and not too heavy. Yet enough to fulfill my need for a protein. We finished with the tiramisu and some coffee. The tiramisu was light and airy, and delicious. The cappuccino came with a delectable almond cookie. Our server, Hade, was just wonderful and pleasant. She answered all the questions and was very friendly. I enjoyed coming here and we thought the family business atmosphere made it so much better.

For years I have coming here for fresh pasta. Today I had the lobster risotto and it was great! The service is prompt and my server, Maya, knows exactly what I want. The ambiance is delightfully Italian.

Best meal we had during our 4 days in Chicago! Definitely a local spot and the menu was packed with options. From the Garlic salad dressing to each entree we were in heaven. The vodka red sauce and Garlic shrimp dishes were our favorites. The server was so good wish I would have gotten her name. She put my son's soup "to go" so we could eat it the next day at our hotel. Don't miss this restaurant!!

Today was my first (and last) visit to this restaurant. They send out coupons all of the time and I brought one with me. After we provided the coupon and placed our order, the waitress returned and said that the coupon was expired and could not be used. The expiration date was July 31st and was in such small print that I had not even noticed it. I asked to speak with the manager, told him that it was our first time to the restaurant, and asked what he could do for us. He stated that they had stopped advertising coupons in Valpak a long time ago. I told him that the coupon only expired less than two weeks ago. His response was that they stopped two months ago which I do not consider "a long time ago." He claimed that there was nothing that he could do which I do not believe. I informed him that it would be our last visit to the restaurant but he did not care. Now to the food and service. The calamari was very average and the marinara sauce tasted like ketchup. The bowl of soup was very small and extremely salty. The entrees had a very nice presentation but the taste was mediocre. The service was fairly good but nothing outstanding. I would have given a three star review if not for the manager's dumb and tone-deaf responses. Will not be returning as there are too many other restaurants in the area that are much better!
