I love love the Ace of Spades taco on the secret menu and today's was super yummy! The restaurant and bathrooms were clean, service was friendly and the Michelob Ultra draft beer was in a frosty glass. It was a great stop after kayaking on Lake Woodlands in the August heat.

I ordered one taco. The #1. It's an egg, cheese, and bacon breakfast taco. I ordered it with a flour tortilla and no cheese. So the ingredients were: bacon + egg + tortilla. It took them 20 minutes. To make that one taco. The restaurant had maybe, 9 people eating, and 8 that were done or finishing their meal. 20 minutes for 1 portion of bacon + egg + tortilla. Absolutely pathetic. It would be understandable if they gave a wait time. But whether you're ordering 1, 2, 3 or 25 tacos, they will not give you a turnaround time or wait time. So if you are in a hurry and want one taco, go elsewhere.

Walked up to the register and the lady there was rude as can be. Was a regular customer for years. Not anymore. Went across the street to Velvet. Too bad that one person can wreck your reviews! Bye bye.

So if you've been following my laundry list of foodie shenanigans, you know I highly value amazing interaction, which is why I like sitting at the bar. So today was special, I dragged my bro to the gym and after we were spent, we went for Tacos. We almost pick somewhere else, but we lucked out in a major way. The Nitty GrittyWhen we walked in it was quiet, clean, and the bar was nearly empty. I could hear the barstools beckoning us like Homer's sirens, and thus we crashed out ship upon their padded tops. Our bartender was Ashley. She was warm, welcoming, and the vibe was like when you meet that old friend you haven't seen in forever... and they just happen to be a bartender at Torchy's (no... not the free drinks kind). She hooked us up with a copy of the new secret menu (gonna say here that Tipsy Chick needs to come back). I had The Matador, and The Ace of Spades, which we came to the conclusion that when anyone orders the Ace of Spades they should sing it like Motorhead. It made the ordering so much fun. Both tacos were loaded and omg good af. You have to check out the picture. We had house Margaritas (because we earned them at the gym). All in all Ashley gave us a dining "experience" that was refreshing, kind, engaging, and all around awesome. She was the cool bean serving the awesome sauce and I will absolutely be back. I will drag Sam with me... again. Ask for Ashley. Tip her well bc she deserves it. Stay awesome.

I'm sad that this place has bad reviews. Because genuinely from my recent visit, I was moderately happy. I recently had a bad experience at the conroe location with terrible service, so I was delightfully welcomed to a calming environment, in a convenient location, with workers who were nice and compassionate. Not only is the service nice, but their hours are an extra 30 minutes longer than most torchy's. The food was very consistent and even though we took take out, we were very happy with the tacos. But on the downside, we also ordered chips and salsa and when we made it home there was no chips in sight, just salsa. So we ended up having to drive to HEB to grab tortilla chips. While it was a fun adventure, it was not fun getting ready to eat and seeing that what you paid for wasn't there. If you're in the area and have never had torchy's tacos before. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. But if you're taking takeout, make sure to check the bag before you drive off.

Some of the best tacos around. A huge variety of tacos that you can order and all of them are good. Pork, chicken, shrimp and salmon are some of the many different types of tacos that you can get. Food is tasty and has a good range of spiciness. My wife does not like spicy foods and she can get tacos here and loves them. Meanwhile, I love spicy foods and can get spicy tacos and load them with Diablo sauce. Also, when you go, get the queso. They put Diablo sauce, Cojita cheese, cilantro, and guacamole in it. It is some of the best queso around. Highly recommend this queso.

This Torchys is very good. It is also much larger than others I have been to so you will always find a table. The food is as expected, good tacos! Not the best, but those are hard to find. Especially since their pico/hot sauce is tasty but not hot. If I bring my own hot sauce this may change the taco stars. But, that will be for next time. The menu is good and peanut allergy sensitive so even better.

Huge, tasty tacos for good prices. Their sauces were impressive for a chain, esp the bacon marmalade. The jerk chicken was bland but otherwise, 9/10 experience.

My wife and I stopped by Torchy's at the Woodlands mall for lunch. We didn't know much about the place, but we thought we'd give it a try. The Tacos were great, we tried an assortment and they were all good. The pork green chile taco was my personal favorite. We also had the queso and chips which were great. You order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. There were some folks sitting at the bar, but a good mix of couples, friends and family. A cool hangout for lunch or dinner. We'll be back!
