Tony's Pizza

I finally visited Tony's which ironically is located right next door to my fitness studio Sk1ll. I've maintained a high level of self control the past few months avoiding this place. Yesterday I ordered 2 pepperoni slices for my daughter and garlic knots. As a native New Yorker, I know good pizza. When I heard that the slices are huge, I didn't expect them to be humongous! These are notorious B.I.G huge ! We enjoyed the slices and I look forward to ordering a fresh pie next time so that I can taste the difference. The slices were just reheated. The only thing I did not enjoy was the garlic knots. They had no garlic on them at all. Disappointing. Service here was excellent. There was a adorable young man running the cash register and many others working hard.

Slightly above average pizza, nothing to write home about, but at least you're not eating massive amounts of dough with each bite!!

The subs are pretty tasty, but their pizza is quite floppy. We used to come here, and the slices didn't lack the constitution as did the slices we got tonight. When I say floppy, I mean that it looked as though it need hanging out on the clothes line. Perhaps we hit them on a bad night.

We decided to give this place a try while waiting for a quick mechanic visit. Really glad we did! The pizza is classic New York style, with dough that is not too thin and not too thick. The sauce and the pepperoni was the definition of savory. The whole slice was satisfying. The garlic bread was drenched in butter, olive oil, garlic, and Italian seasoning. It sounds unhealthy, and that's because it is. But I don't think anyone stopping by a pizza joint is in search of health. The garlic bread was well worth getting it as a side, anyway, though if you can't handle digesting oil well you'll have to do what I did and eat one or two slices.This joint is hidden somewhere in a nice neighborhood on the way to Glenwood Ave. We went on a weekday evening at around 6pm and the place was empty. It kind worried me to see; but the more we waited, the more I noticed the kitchen was swarmed with orders for takeout. People kept coming in and out to get their orders. Must be a neighborhood/local favorite. The staff was friendly, too. There is nothing about this place to write home about, and that's what makes it so good. Just good, classic pizza. I'll be adding this place to my pizza options. Thanks, Tony's!

Run of the mill NY pizza... no complaints except why they claim to have the biggest slices in Raleigh or refer to their slices as "Monster Slice" in their mailers when they are no bigger than any other pizza places. Schiano's are Randy's pizza have slices that are about twice the size.. those are "Monster Slices".

We ordered a large pizza, Philly cheesesteak and fries. Everything was delicious! Will be visiting again soon. A hidden spot that we would have never found had I not Googled for good pizza restaurants.

Always good pizza, prompt service, and friendly staff. Great local business in a convenient North Raleigh location. Easy to get in and out.

Real pizza from Italy, NY style pizza. Delicious! Huge slicesI have had no interaction with service other than ordering food. They have heavy Italian accents, and I'm glad when they understand my order. The ambience is a step up from fast food restaurants.

Very poor customer service. Entered before closing by more than 20 minutes and was told they were done for the night. Employees made it very clear they did not want to serve us. Will not be back or recommend.

Best NY pizza in the area! Moved from NJ I. 2005 and searched for the best pizza. This is it in N Raleigh.
