Tonati Mexican Grill

This place has a relaxed atmosphere with great service. The food was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend paying a visit if you're looking g for quality Mexican food and refreshing cocktails!

Totally cute place, ambience was charming, associate's were friendly. Service could have been better. We ordered queso but by the time it arrived (not that it took long mind you) we had eaten most of the chips. We were very hungers obviously. Requested more which I think is just mind boggling. Don't you think you would just automatically bring chips with the dip! Makes perfect sense to me and I don't even work in the food industry. So our melted velvetta dip was forming a skin by the time they brought more. Quesadillas were good, I would get them again but really, they were nothing noteworthy. The REAL kicker was the salsa. Wait a sec....Would watered down broth-type "whatever that was" even be considered salsa? I didn't make it from the chip to your mouth. Then they brought beans. Again, is this some kind of soup for one ....or a dip. Many confusing mysteries here. Too many TexMex restaurants to bother revisiting one that is just ok even if it was cute.

5pm Saturday in AugustParking is shared with the strip center. It can be limited.The ambiance is welcoming, friendly, and picturesque.We were greeted and immediately sat. It was not busy inside the restaurant. The space is deceptively spacious. Our server Ismael was awesome. He was knowledgeable about the menu, he made recommendations, and was extremely patient (I'll explain later). My girl & I both had an order of tacos. I had street tacos. I can't remember her tank order. Both dishes were delectable. The kind of tortilla was different from what I'm used to. It was flavorful and added to the overall experience. The meat was well seasoned. There are added harbor garnishes that were surprisingly tasty. Pineapples are one of the additions. That was a great touch.I don't drink so everything you see alcoholic wise is being rated from my girl. All drinks were good. The top shelf option in the flight was "strong."We called in reinforcements to help finish all the drinks posted. This is where our server's patience came into play. We arrived around 5pm and left the restaurant after 10pm. I know, I know, we were that couple. My only complaint was that every batch of chips were stale. I'm not sure if that's the new norm in restaurants or if my mouth and standards to judge staleness is changing. This isn't the 1st restaurant with multiple batches of stale chips. I mean all 3 batches brought to the table were STALE!Hopefully they take care of that. If I'm ever in the area again, I will come back

Love that this place is walking distance from me! It's beautiful inside,the staff are friendly and welcoming. One of the owners works the bar and makes wonderful margaritas (my favorite is the skinny grapefruit Don Julio) this is not Tex Mex this is authentic Mexican cuisine and wonderful, they serve margaritas in the beautiful clay Mexican ceramic cups, chips come with one of the best salsa's around and charro beans. I love the jalapeno steak. I don't think I have ordered anything that wasn't bursting with flavor. And they have expanded their menu! I think I go weekly or every other week and I do see we are not their only regulars!

This place is amazing! 10/10 would recommend. The service is always top notch! They have daily specials and happy hour. Also, they play such good music. Makes me feel like I'm back at moms house for a family party! This spot has a super authentic feel and the inside is well maintained and modern. The fajitas are delicious and always come out sizzling! The street tacos are all amazing. And you have to try the dorado tacos. Crispy cheesy goodness all around! I forget who the name of the girl that's always behind the bar but she is super sweet and always remembers my drink orders. Lorena is also a really great server. Everyone is so charming and I'm pretty sure it's locally owned. You should definitely eat here -- Support your local businesses!

This place was awesome, their food is so flavorful. I ordered online. I picked it up and the service was also great. This restaurant will be one of my go too from now on.

We ate here tonight and it was a nice change, a cute little neighborhood restaurant, the service is friendly and fast. I had the combo 1 because it had a little of everything and my hubby had the cactus steak , it also came with rice and beans but I'm not eating rice so I can't comment on that, but the beans were delicious, we enjoyed it. We would definitely return.

WOWZA! This is a hidden gem! The food was all excellent and tasted handmade. Lots of options. My favorite was the chorizo queso flameado. The margaritas are made with fresh juice. Watermelon margarita was so refreshing! The staff were friendly and very attentive. Loved the decor and music. Anytime I am in town visiting family I will for sure be eating here!

I've been there more times than I can count, and let me tell ya, I ain't never had a bad time yet.Now, the last time I moseyed on over, I reckon I tried out their margarita flight, and let me just say, if ya ain't got an Uber lined up, you better find one real quick 'cause them drinks'll have ya hootin' and hollerin' in no time!And don't even get me started on them tacos - I've tried 'em all, from them street tacos to every other kind on the menu, and not a single one was just so-so. The ingredients are top-notch, and each bite is like a little slice of heaven.But what really sets Tonati apart is the service - those folks treat ya like family from the moment ya walk through the door. They're friendly, they're quick on their feet, and they make sure ya leave with a smile on your face and a belly full of good grub.And let me tell ya 'bout the atmosphere - it's downright awesome! I tried this place for the first time and absolutely loved it. Food was great and margaritas were to the point!It's nice they have a daily special!
