I was in Houston for business and came here because of the 4.6 star Yelp reviews. The place is nice, a lot of TVs, open air, etc. I saw waitresses wearing "ask me about $1 pints" which I did. Turns out that is for your next visit. I understand that, but, spoiler alert, I won't be back. I give them credit for publishing their beer prices, many bars don't. The prices are high, I paid $11.99 for a 22 ounce IPA, roughly what you would pay at the airport. But they also add a "service charge" which was another 50 cents. So a 22 ounce ( actually 20 ounces when the foam settles) IPA is $13.50, that is pre tip mind you. I had planned on eating there but I didn't want to drop a 50 burger for one beer and a sandwich, so I asked for the check. Then came the attitude ftom the pretty waitress that likely expects everybody to not care about the price. Sorry, but I do. I think I now get the bar's intent with the name Tom's Watch Bar, you better be wearing a Rolex or Tag Hauer.

Great find while visiting Htown! Small cover for PPV UFC fight was worth it. Big screens, great service and very affordable. Sign up on the website for a free drink!

My friends and I chose to watch the super bowl game here. Why? Because this is definitely the ultimate place to watch all of the big events! They have so many tvs all over the place, there's really not a bad seat in the house. The servers are amazing. They took great care of us and made us feel comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the nachos and fries. I had the peach bourbon smash and it's my favorite drink there. I would recommend giving this place a try especially with your friends when no one wants to host for the big game!

Me and my friend came by here after the UH game to hang out. Downtown Houston nightlife is somewhat lacking on the weekdays but it was pretty lively here in the house of blues plaza. There were plenty of seatings and screens for every sports available ever which way you look. Our waitress was nice, patient and explained to us the varies of delight there is to offer. I ordered the chicken strips with tator tots.It did took alil while to come out, but they were pretty well seasoned and fried. Crispy outside and soft center. Portion sizes were excellent. The pickled on the chicken was alil too overwhelming to my liking, but overall good. My buddy orders even a more savory dish. Roast beef sandwich and tator tots. It was moist and the bread was soft, perfect combination.

Tom's Watch Bar makes a mean Old Fashioned! Jordan was very attentive and friendly and made sure we were well taken care of before our concert next door. Will definitely return in the future.

Came here with a group of Yelpers + other friends for the Texans post-season divisional game. Spoiler, they lost. : (Place was full, glad my friends had secured a table, so when I arrived, it was no biggie. There were lots of TX fans there to enjoy the game on the huge tv walls. Service - was fair. Trey, our server, got busier and busier as the game went on. He tried his best to keep up with all his tables. He was gracious and was very busy. Drink- I had the 16oz beer Mango Cart. That was tasty, just light enough, but had some body and sweet notes. Food- the kind gentleman Yelper Justin T. bought nachos for our table. We all tore those up. For my entree, I was torn between the burger, and I was curious about the prime rib sandwich. Both comes with fries. Server Trey said he prefers the prime rib, so I went with that. Fries were seasoned nice. The prime rib sandwich, I wish it was more cheesy as the middle meat got a little dry and one note. The cheese to meat ratio was off for me. I didn't anticipate the prime rib to be so pink, but it was probably to keep it tender? It does come with a dipping sauce, to keep it drippy. This didn't add much to flavor wise. It's a large, fairly high-priced sandwich, I wanted it to be tastier. But you may love it, try it out!Parking- they have valet. But there's street parking too, it's metered, which I found out an hour or two in. So I ran out to pay the meter. Luckily, I had no ticket, phew!!The best bite of the night was one of the fried pickles I had that had been ordered for the table. Great batter and crunch, not soggy, came out hot, which helped the pickle flavor stand out.

TL;DR: Food 3/5, Service 4/5, Atmosphere 5/5I've been to Tom's twice. The first was for a Yelp event which was so much fun. The second was this past Saturday to watch the Texan's playoff game.Tom's is located in the Greenstreet Complex in the space formerly occupied by Andalucia. If you can't find street parking, you can park in the Greenstreet garage. It's $5 on weekends and after 4 pm on weekdays. They have a good amount of indoor seating as well as a nice patio out front. My friends arrived 1.5 hours before the game and managed to grab the last table indoors. They do have heaters on the patio if you're not able to get a seat inside. If you want to sit inside for a popular game, then plan accordingly. The biggest positive is the atmosphere. It's a sports lover's dream. The staff did a great job of amping up the energy. Dan (the GM) was the emcee throughout the game. They had giveaways for free swag and drinks and also handed out free shots. Service was pretty good. Our server Trey was attentive and was good about periodically checking on us. On the other hand, the quality of the food and drinks are inconsistent. Some items were good while other items left a lot to be desired. I understand it's bar food, but if it's supposed to be upscale, then some of the food and drinks could use some improvement.Drinks: Espresso Martini - Disappointing. It had a weird tart after taste that I didn't enjoy and it didn't come with espresso beans.Gin and Juice - I've had this before and it was sweeter than I remembered it being. I didn't love it this time around.Game Changer (Free shot) - It tasted like cough syrup. I don't know what was in it and the server that brought it to us didn't seem to know either. I'm glad it was free.Food:Chicken Nachos - These were good and flavorful, but I wish they would have been served hot. The temp was lukewarm. Fried Pickles - Basic, but good. The batter had a nice texture and I liked the ranch dressing.Fish Tacos - Bleh. The fish tasted like boxed fried fish that you can find at any grocery store. The shape of the fish filet didn't really fit into the mini tortilla so it was just awkward to eat. I suspect this is the same fish that they use for the fish and chips. The chipotle aioli that came with it was okay. Apparently there was some sort of cilantro crema on the tacos, but I couldn't taste it. I recall seeing a minimal amount of cilantro on it, but it wasn't enough to enhance the flavor. It also came with chips and queso. The queso was alright, but I liked it better than the chipotle aioli. They have so many screens and the main screen at the bar is massive! You can also check on their website to see what games/matches/fights they're going to be showing for the week. Although some of the food didn't really stand out, the atmosphere certainly makes up for it. If you're a sports fanatic who loves to watch games at a bar, then you will have a great time at Tom's Watch.

Everything is good here from the food to the service and the beer on Sunday is buy 1 get 1 free which is nice too. If you like a French dip, the prime rib dip is the best ever had and the Mac n cheese was really good too! Plus they shuttle you to the Astros game in a Luxury Mercedes sprinter van.

My experience at Tom's was okay decent. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. There were some highs and some lows but overall I wouldn't mind coming back. My friends and I decided this spot for some pre game drinks before heading to the Astros game. What I like about Tom's is they have a shuttle to take you to the game & once the game is over they'll come & pick you up (at no charge). They can also pick you up early, just text them. I'm not sure if they do it for all the home games but there was a shuttle on Saturday. Our group went ahead and ordered drinks & appetizers. Even though it wasn't busy the service was slow and it seemed like the server was overwhelmed, but I can look past that. I ordered a Manhattan as my drink and some Jamaican Jerk wings & my friends got the chips & queso, crispy calamari & deep dish nachos with braised short ribs. My drink presentation wise just looks sad, there was no orange bitters nor did they garnish it with a cherry, it was also weak as well. My Jerk wings tasted decent, it was crispy and the sauce had a combination of sweetness & a little heat to it. The wings came out pipping hot as well. The chips and queso were okay, the queso was good but the chips were hard and stale. The crispy calamari was not good and too rubbery for my liking. I enjoyed the deep dish nachos, it was expensive but definitely filling for one person. This appetizer can be shared with 2-3 people. The spare ribs were tendered and all the ingredients went well together. They were however was stingy on the ribs. There was some confusion with the BOGO (beers) but the staff worked it out. After we were done it was off to the ball game.We decided to leave early since the score was 12-0 & the group wanted to have some drinks once again at Tom's. When we got there it was very busy but this time around it was a new server and he seemed to know what he was doing. Tre did an awesome job checking in on us and getting our orders in a timely manner. I went ahead and ordered 2 more manhattan's & some Korean BBQ wings & my friend got some French fries. Whoever the bartender was made the drink correctly. It didn't have the orange bitters but I was fine with it. It was much stronger and it was garnished with a cherry. Visually it looked better than the first bartender that made my drink in the afternoon. My wings tasted terrible to be honest. It was sweet & that was it. The wings didn't have any texture & the skin was not crispy to my liking. I also felt that it was underdone as well. The wings came out lukewarm. I couldn't finish it & it was a waste since I paid 16 dollars for it. The fries tasted fair. It reminded me of Mc Donald's fries. Overall. It was better the second time around but the food was underwhelming. I'll come back next time when there's an Astros game & try out their other dishes. Maybe there's something on the menu that will be fulfilling.
