We had a relatively complex order (one regular special pizza and one with a few mods). They nailed the mods perfectly and without questions. Stellar service especially for a take out order. Food was packed very well and the taste was incredible. Very well cooked and the crust's flavor was awesome! Only issue which is probably from a no cheese request is the crust god quite soggy on the veggie pizza. I cooked it a bit more at home and had no issues afterwards though.

I've been to Tomato Jake's near Southpoint in Durham a few times over the years, but I have never written a Yelp review for them so I am taking care of that now. : -)I stopped by for some dinner recently and ordered two pepperoni slices with a drink and a house salad. The price came out to around $15.50 before the tip. The slices were big and full of pepperoni (they use big pepperoni). Also a lot of cheese. The slices were good, but very greasy as you can imagine. (If Dave Portnoy of One bite pizza reviews were reviewing he would say too much grease and a lot of flop). I would rate their slices below Randy's in the area, but they were good. The salad was good, also but maybe they could have given a little more dressing. I would stop by Tomato Jake's again, but probably for lunch. The place is nice and clean and the counter service was friendly.

I'd only been here in the past for pizza. Earlier this year we did take out pasta when I was sick at home recovering from surgery and that was very good. Today we came by for my spouse to try a slice of the Sicilian pizza, which was sizeable. She really liked it along with a very plentiful side salad. I had two slices of the meat and roasted veggie pizza that was so good. One slice would have been enough, but sometimes the eyes are bigger than the stomach!

Absolutely do not order their wings. My husband and I ordered wings and pizza for dine in on 12/17. They were really nice about letting me sample a sauce and gave us two separate sauce cups for our wing preferences. The sauces were good. However, we ate the wings while waiting for the pizza, only to discover that about half of them were bloody and undercooked on the inside. We received a refund for the wings, but they also offered to remake them for us. No thank you. The pizza was ok.

If you want authentic northeast style pizza and have been having a hard time finding it in the south, GO SEE JAKE!This is the best pizza I've had in the south to date! You taste the flavor immediately! Fresh italian seasonings dust the amazingly flavorful baked cheese, and the pizza sauce is A1. If you're a real pizza lover then you know to ask for a cup of marinara sauce on the side for dunking, you won't be sorry! Everything came out hot and fresh! Thank you to Jake (owner), Hannah (Front of House) and Andre (Pizza Chef) for making my pizza experienced one to remember. I recommend Tomato Jakes, 10/10.This location is in a shopping center with ample free parking, there is indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating/tables are individually covered by oversized umbrellas. Perfect for a sunny day, and a chill lunch break.

For a quick not to pricey pizza and wings Tomato Jake's. My grandchildren love their cheese pizza, I usually get an order of wings to add some protein to my meal. While snatching a piece of the grandchildren's cheese pizza. It is an easy stop because all the different tastes can be handled.

I'm conflicted about this one. The pizza was really good - the dough was chewy, the sauce was bursting with flavor and not watery at all (I hear they make this in house), and the fresh melty mozzarella was delicious. I just think $15 for a 10" pizza is overpriced, and would rather buy single slices next time.The calzone was a much bigger portion size, dough was just as good and I loved the roasted pepper filling :) I also sprinkled some Parmesan and chili flakes for an extra kick.When we visited we found people playing texas poker at a larger table in the back, seems like a nice place to hang out and relax after work.

They pieced together a cheese pizza from a pile of slices they pre-baked. If you're ok with that level of service, consider getting a pizza here. Otherwise go to New York pizza or IP3. So sad, this used to be my favorite pizza place, but it's just not managed like it used to be.
