Disclaimer: I used a 30% off coupon. There are lots of things to improve on here. Appetizers: avocado salad and crab ragoons. These are fine, not spectacular and also not horrific. Worthy of a try. Main course:1 - spider roll. The first time around, it was under cooked. The manager took the food back and re-fired one for me. The second time, it was ok. I didn't expect undercooked fried food so took a star off. 2 - spicy scallop roll - ok. No issues. 3 - happy roll - tasted like a jar of crab salad from Kroger, actually Kroger might be better. 4 - crispy salmon roll - eh, it was ok. Assorted sushi - decent, and good with the 30% off but nothing to show for. We did have an issue, the waiter dropped off the sushi and said, we don't have yellowtail belly, here is yellow tail and it's the same price. So I lectured him and said, "why wouldn't you tell us before making the decision?" It was a friendly exchange and my intent was only to help him since it's soft opening. Good luck.

My family and I came here for dinner because it was close to where my dad lives and the price is good for the quality of the sushi and great service. Great new Japanese restaurant.

The menu is big and a lot to choose from .great prices and good signature rolls. They also have regular food like ramen and stir fry options . Felt weird because I was the only person in the entire restaurant lol this place needs to get on some marketing asap to get people inside their store. I had the shumai for appetizer and the crab . They need to turn the AC a little cooler but overall the crispy crab signature roll I ordered was really good and the food was really great. The food was excellent . Service was great. The ac was the only issue but it was like 100 degrees outside so I guess it was ok. Ima definitely come back and try the sesame chicken and other stuff for my lunch break to try it out . FYI some more customers came in after I left so that's great .

I always give benefit of the doubt! On my car ride home my stomach knew something wasn't right. I sprinted to the bathroom and had an explosive #2. I wanted to give this review 2 stars because the workers were nice, but I suppose the food has to be the item to be reviewed. This place is pretty new and there's nothing special about the atmosphere, I was just excited that I could go here instead of Chinatown because parking can be a mess down there. I ordered a few rolls and takoyaki. The food came quickly. For the most part, the food was bland, uninteresting, boring, just not a good experience. I love ramen but I won't be coming back to try it. I'll stick to Chinatown!

I have long searched for a sushi restaurant with good vegetarian options (and I don't mean a cucumber roll). My family is made up of two sushi lovers, a strict vegetarian (not even bonito is okay), and one picky eater. This creates a conundrum as good sushi restaurants often have limited vegetarian options (exception: Uchi). The ambiance was nice and comfortable - I was delighted by the generous booths. Probably the best booths I've ever encountered. They can fit at least 6 adults comfortably. People with children will know why I'm going on and on about booths. Overall, nice low lighting, comfortable decor, and very clean. The sushi was good - fresh fish, and good sushi rice. My husband (the vegetarian) especially liked the tempura sweet potato roll which says something because he's often disappointed by vegetarian sushi. He has a healthy appetite, and there was a good array of options for him to choose from. The kids went for the ramen which they enjoyed. I had a taste - the broth was clean, non-greasy, not overly salty. The price point was amazing for the quality. We came in 4 minutes before the end of happy hour (I didn't think the happy hours applied because it was the weekend, but oh, they do). The waitress told us we had time to put in some happy hour items right when we were seated. In summary, I think we just found our new favorite sushi restaurant for the entire family to enjoy.

Stopped to try Tokyo Ramen & Sushi on Westheimer and Gessner, and was not disappointed! This is a relatively new spot, and they are super welcoming! Our server, Hellen provided fantastic service and provided some great recommendations. The food was awesome, the fried Philadelphia roll is a must-try! Appetizers were solid, and the price-point is a breath of fresh air these days. Hellen mentioned many specials going on, happy hour, and discounts for those who'd like to follow them on Facebook to help spread the word of their business. Definitely stop and give them a try!!

Good neighborhood spot! A variety of foods for sushi lovers, hibachi, ramen, fried rice etc. got their spicy edamame, vegetable egg rolls, UPS Roll and Phoenix Roll (it was 2 for 16.95)! My dad got the hibachi steak and vegetable and I took a few bites! Pretty good. I liked the salmon and yellow tail! The tuna was not my favorite but my boyfriend liked it. The spicy edamame was 10/10 my favorite! It's very quiet and clean! I would come back for a cheap local sushi date. I like top sushi that's near by my house but it feels sticky and dirty and the crowd can get sketchy. This place was way cleaner, felt safe and calm, and had good service and nice presentation so I think I'll change my local sushi place to this place!

Tonight, my wife and I ordered the following General Tso Chicken & White Rice, Kung pow chicken & fried rice, pork & cheese steak egg rolls, and we took advantage of the two sushi's for $16 and edimame In both entries, the quality of the chicken was poor, fatty chewy chicken like you would get in cheap mall Chinese food but lacking flavor but did have some spice. Missing flavor, poor texture just not very good quality. General Tso was slightly better but still not good enough to eat more than a few bites. The cheese steak egg roll was just terrible, the pork egg roll, was slightly better but still tastes like one you could get at the grocery store. Then the sushi..... oh poor sushi you were incredibly disappointing. Think grocery store sushi's but not as good. Seems to be the theme of tonight's dinner. Oh and last but not least, a cup of wonton soup. It was flavorless, and the dumplings were straight up nasty. Sadly, the best part was the fried rice and the edimame. Kinda sad for $62.00 and ended up throwing it all away unhappy Sorry to say, I won't be back, overpriced low quality food plz don't waste your time. However, the people were nice, though.... go to another place.

A nice little strip center sushi joint. It's only been open a few months and honestly I don't know if the location is great so while you can, and if you're in the area, you should definitely stop in any day between 2 and 6 pm for their half price happy hour. 50% off of the select but still ample menu. Includes beer and hot sake and a number of imported beers. We stopped in yesterday and had dumplings, spring rolls, crab Rangoon, 1 pc unagi and 3 pieces of blue fin tuna sushi, (which was outstanding), salmon tempura roll, yellowfin jalapeño roll, and all for just over $30 before tip. Oh, and the service is outstanding. I wish I could tell you our server's name as he was very attentive and more than helpful given our pestering him for napkins, share plates, a fork and knife, and especially their house made chili oil which us classic. He even brought me a to go portion of the chili oil for me to take. The full menu also has some Chinese dishes but I haven't tried them. It definitely scratched that itch and where else are you going to find three Japanese beers for under $10?This is a nice local joint and I hope you try it. I want it to be there a long long time.
