My family and I come here often, at least once every 1-2 months. It's located in a very busy Asian food complex so parking can be difficult at prime time, but you can definitely find many places to visit in the same area. The staff are always nice! They are always engaging with my kids. One server even took very good care of my toddler every time he handed the server his empty bowl or cup to be refilled with water. Definitely a family friendly place. The restrooms are single occupancy so sometimes you'll have to wait your turn but it is clean. The food is consistently delicious. We always get marinated beef short ribs, seafood tofu soup mild spicy level, Dol Sot Bi Bim Bab, jap chae noodles & chicken skewers. Mild spicy level gives a pretty good kick already. You get a complimentary salad to start then they provide several side dishes which are free to refill and a small fish (careful it has a lot of tiny bones). I also recommend the seafood pancake and stir spicy pork. I definitely recommend to check the place out!

One of our favorite restaurants in chinatown by far! This place never disappoints. We tend to eat early dinners here because of how busy it can get, and the service is always great! Really enjoy all of the side dishes, especially the potatoes and kimchi. Our go-to order is the seafood pancake, which is huge and perfect to share as an appetizer! There's a ton of indoor seating, and it's quiet enough to hear everyone at your table. The tables and floors are clean, as are the bathrooms

Surprised that this place doesn't have a higher rating on Yelp! Came here on a Saturday and this restaurant is BUSTLING. Looks like it's a community favorite and there's a good reason why. The food is awesome! They have an extensive selection of delicious banchan - I would have bought their kimchi off of them if sold in jars. I also especially enjoyed the potato and radish side dishes. For our entrees, my friend got the scallop and tofu stew and I got the mushroom bibimbap, and we truly enjoyed both dishes. When we paid for our meal, our server gave us yogurt drinks, which was a pleasant surprise and nice touch to the experience. Ambiance wise, it's clean and nice appearing. But my eyes were really just glued to the food the whole time; it was a stand out meal.

Okay place for Korean food. If you have cravings it will do the job, but I don't know that many Korean restaurants in Houston. It has been a Chinatown staple ever since I remember, and the first place I've ever tried Korean food! FOODI've never had their Korean bbq meats, but I've tried their seafood noodle (jjampong), black bean noodles (jajangmyeon), Korean pancake, and rice stone dish (bibimbap)Jjampong is my mom and my favorite, but recently the jjampong didn't hit. It was not as flavorful and tasted watered downOn the other hand, I used to hate bibimbap and this lst time I thought it was delicious and MUCH more flavorful than the jjampongThe one time I had a craving for Korean jajangmyeon I came here and it was only okay, again not super flavorful but did the job.Seafood and kimchi pancake is still probably the best I've had in Houston. Everything has gotten pretty expensive, but I found the noodle portions filling and I always take home some.AMBIENCE/SERVICETypical decor. Service is very fast and efficient. Feel free to ask for refills on any of your favorite banchan dishes! PARKINGAs always parking in Chinatown can be hard, esp when going to Dun Huang plaza, one of the busiest plazas. But usually it's easy to find one before 12pm in weekends, and there's usually spots on the other side of the plaza near Gi Au bar.

The perfect place for authentic Korean food! Everything that I have tried here is very good. I came with some friends and it was my first time at a Korean restaurant and I was so pleased with the food and the service that I went back the next day! The staff is very nice and they help you if you are new and need some guidance. It's a very interesting experience because they bring all these small plates to share and you can eat from there or add to your food. The soup is very very good, they have several options of protein and also they have options from non-spicy to extra-spicy and they don't play games here with that so be aware! They serve the food really fast even when they are busy and I loved that and everything tastes very fresh.I tried the second time I went the seafood pancake, and loooved it! A very different concept but worth it! I want to bring my family, this kind of food is meant to be shared so it's perfect for a group of friends or a family time.

Service was great. Very attentive staff and the food came out fast. Short ribs are amazing. Kimchi is very good. I had the beef sizzling pot and it was good. Vegetables were cooked right but it did need a little more flavor. The spicy s sauce they give you is a must buy with it it's very good. Good atmosphere. Lots of Kpop videos in the tv. Overall, it was great and I'll be back.

Tofu Village is a Korean food staple that's been around for a long, long time. Is it food the most flavorful? Probably not, but it's a really homey place with reasonable prices in a plaza where the cost of food has just been skyrocketing. How much has changed in the last 10 years I've been going here, and my go to has been the bibimbap. It's in a stone bowl, which is heated so that the rice is really crispy and has good texture. You can mix all the toppings of the bibimbap together and add your own gochujang. Service is always fast and they have a really neat salad that they serve right when you get there. It's kind of like a light thousand islands dressing and appetizes you nicely. They also always send you off with a yogurt drink.Convenient, homey Korean food is what this place offers up, and I'll come anytime that's what I want.

I am so surprised that this restaurant doesn't have higher ratings because I was really impressed with both the food and service on my first visit. They have the absolute best Banchan (Korean side dishes). Most places only give out about 4-5 side dishes but this place gives you almost double that amount and their dishes are delicious! The restaurant is located in a corner of a very busy shopping center in Chinatown. The center is jam-packed with dessert shops so you can sweeten the experience and grab something sweet afterwards.

This is my go-to place my friends and I go to when we crave Korean food. I highly recommend getting the dol sot bi bim bab if you are a fan of rice with beef and vegetables. They provide a gochujang sauce that I love combining for an extra kick of spice and flavor if you have a good spice tolerance. There are also many amazing complimentary and refillable sides to enjoy with your meal with notable mentions being the fish cake and potatoes. The establishment is fairly spacious and usually there is not much of a wait time but sometimes at peak dinner times the whole restaurant can get filled and wait times can be very long. The servers are very sweet and attentive especially with refilling our sides. Our food was also brought out in a fairly quick manner and I love how we are given complimentary Yakult drinks with our meal. They also offer a stamp card if you pay with cash and you can get a discount on your next meal once you hit the required stamp numbers.
