I still recommend this place for food, but tonight the service really rubbed me off the wrong way (I felt it slightly before but not as obvious): Basically if you're not Korean, you're not their priority, which is okay, but tonight it was so obvious that I feel a bit uncomfortable--the "auntie" servers are really less than friendly to us.

Party of 3 dined in monday for lunch There was 3-4 tables besides us Not as busy for lunch hour We ordered budae jeongol, serving good for 4-5 portion,, we also get individually pot of rice Their sides dishes were better than most of korean restaurants these days Inside was cold, they could have warmed up the place considering the cold weather today We loved the food!

Great authentic food. I love that they bring the small plates/toppings and will refill them for free. I had the squid stone pot dish and it was phenomenal!!

This was a very solid Korean restaurant just outside of Philly New bluebell area!We ordered pork bibimbap and gamja tang which were both very solid. The pork bibimbap was more of a spicy marinaded pork meat over rice so don't expect it to be like normal bibimbap. It was still good and even had mushrooms in it.The gamja tang came with plenty of meat and veges and flavor was def on point. You can tell the restaurant was authentic Korean spot with many elderly and older Korean adults all dining at dinner time.2 thumps up for me.

I came here on a whim craving soft tofu soup. The restaurant seems solid and authentic. Mostly everything we ordered was good except for the soup, which really lacks flavor. It was very bland. I sent it back and it returned better, but still not good. We love their kimchi. It's one of the best. The service was friendly. Nothing crazy about the ambiance.

I've been here two times. Both times good, though second time we had to put up with some very loud patrons the entire time we were there - though that's not the restaurant's fault. As in, we could hear every word they were saying.I mean first time we were there, it was relatively loud but nothing abnormal.I believe I saw a review here that said you may feel a bit out of place since most patrons who dine here are Korean people. But both times we went in, we saw/heard different types of Asian people there as well. So at least for me it was not a concern.Seeing older, authentic Korean people dine here is a positive sign that the food is good.I believe I also saw reviews mentioning the wait staff speaking little English. While their English is limited, I think it's enough that no one should have a problem. And they're generally friendly.I mean the menu has English and you can just point to what you want to order. That said, when it came to ordering I just read the Korean words off the menu since I still remember how to read from back when I took classes.Anyways to start, the Banchan (side dishes) were great. They're some of the tastiest I've had around Philly area. The Kimchi is great also. It was not super spicy, and tasted fresh. Dubu is another place with good Kimchi, but their Kimchi is very spicy. These have been the only two places so far I've experienced with good Kimchi.First time I was here, we got the Haemul Pajeon (seafood pancake) as appetizer.Second time we got the Goon Mandu (pan fried dumplings). The Haemul Pajeon was pretty good. They could have been more generous with the seafood, and it was slightly burnt, but overall the Pajeon is crispy enough and flavor was good.Goon Mandu was quite solid. No complaints there.Main dishes first visit included Samkyupsal (sliced pork belly) and the Ojingeo Dolsot (stone pot bibimbap with squid).Main dishes second visit included Galbi (marinated prime ribs) and the Jaeyuk Dolsot (stone pot bibimbap with stir fried pork). The Samkyupsal was quite good. It had a strong sense of good smoky flavor. I prefer spicy pork belly more as a dish, but this one was still good. The Ojingeo Dolsot was very spicy, but flavor was on point. I have a medium spicy tolerance but this one was a work-out in sweat terms.Galbi was decent. I might have had tastier Galbi at other places, but this one still solid.Jaeyuk Dolsot was similar in terms of spicy level compared to the Ojingeo Dolsot, but for some reason I could tolerate it more. Not sure if I started adapting to spice level or was a bit less spicy this time. Anyway the dish is straight goodness.Though I did feel like the rice beneath the ingredients were a bit overwhelmed by sauce. But that's me nitpicking.Overall good place for solid Korean food. Might not be the most cozy place to dine in, but I think the food is worth it.

We love this place. The hot stone bowls have more meat than any other place we have been hands down. Best to get there early because it fills up fast. We are not Korean and have had nothing but good service. I speak little Korean but not enough for a conversation.

I have been coming to this home-style Korean food oasis for almost 10-12 years.True definition of a hole in the wall place - in a good way.Family run. Ethnic clientele, authentic food. Next to a Korean grocery store and dry cleaners. Excellent! They give you tons of Ban chan. There are always 5-6 different times or maybe more. I love the (what I presume are homemade) pickled greens and kimchi. The stonepot bibimbap are awesome. I would love to say I have tried everything on the menu but it is hard to steer far from the spicy pork and spicy squid when they are perfected.I usually place my order, then tell them I am going to shop at the grocery store next door and viola - my order is piping hot and ready when I return.Sure, they may not have the spicy raw crab (you may have to go to NE Philly for that) but with the new Korean fried chicken place next to Pho Nam Thai you can kill 2 cravings in one.

Food: A great disappointment. Ordered Dukmandu Guk, which is described as (Spicy Soft Tofu Stew (Seafood, Oyster, Mixed, Mushroom) on the menu. Didn't see any seafood (such as shrimp, fish, even oyster) except for tiny clams and squid tentacles. No mushroom (expected to see some enoki at least) in sight at all. The soup itself is tasty though.Service: Acceptable. Servers came to fill empty glasses of ice water, and inquired twice if everything is fine.Ambiance: Nice decor; simple and clean. Menu very fancy.Unless the quality and quantity of the ingredients improve considerably, there will not be a return visit anytime soon.
