My wife & I have dined here twice & we love it! The bar is neat & vibrant and service is quick and friendly. Sam & Mel took great care of us both times. They recommended really awesome dishes. We tried the El Mero Burger, which was on special & the fish tacos. We also had the nachos which are an awesome portion! The margaritas were also great. Sam recommended the strawberry & mango pineapple which are both made fresh in-house. We loved them. Pro tip: leave room for the dessert!

I was babysitting my 4 year old granddaughter and we were deciding where to have brunch. We initially were going to a breakfast cafe, where she said the pancakes and bacon were good (I'd never been). However, at the last minute, she said, "I want to go to Tio Flores!" I was surprised, (switching from pancakes to tacos) but she reiterated her choice and off we went. She'd been to Tio before, however, it was my first visit. We went in, she said, "Let's sit in the front row!", which was the first booth by the door. We sat down, and she immediately grabbed the kid's menu. She looked at me and said "..guacamole and chicken tacos"! So that's what we got; I ordered mine off the regular menu - same dish. The guacamole was very good, as were the chips. The tacos were the Chicken Tinga - a chipotle flavored chicken, with a little salsa, lettuce and a lime cream sauce. Her version, had the chicken, with only cheese....which was fine as she said she didn't want lettuce. Our tacos were good, and the service was good. It was close (we walked) and fast. I told her she made a good choice!

Great for a larger group, but to be honest, not in love with my meal. They have a lot of drink options which I love to see and our server was very attentive. With so many options for Mexican food in the city, not sure I'll be back.

Largely enjoyed a very cute, low key week day dinner here. The servers were casual, friendly, and attentive. Not a lot of people out here on an absolutely beautiful weekday night, but it did start filling up later in the night. I liked their outdoor space a lot and the servers definitely read the vibe by not checking by too much but till doing a great job making sure you have everything you need. The waitstaff was definitely a huge plus. Absolute stars of the show were the nachos. Massive plate of food, and I love when it's fun extras like carrot and radish. Definitely stands out here, and I feel like two people could be happy splitting one just as a meal. I loved the guac but it is pretty standard. The special enchiladas are absolutely amazing if you go any time this season. They DO NOT skimp on the cheese, the meat is so warm and tender wrapped in the perfectly charred tortilla...definitely a bit greasy, but 100% worth it. I was pretty disappointed with the tacos, they were really salty and tasted almost off. Didn't try anything vegan/vegetarian here but the variety looked awesome. Did not try the margs but the nonalcoholic cocktails were extensive. Having items like liquor free tequila etc seemed like a bit of a gimmick to me because they tasted about the same as a really tasty lemonade or something similar, but cost the same as a regular margarita ($10 a glass) which is a bit crazy! I didn't go for happy hour but the deals didn't seem very good. Overall: I'd come here to eat but not to drink. Food prices were totally reasonable and largely tasty, and the location and vibes are excellent. Check it out for a bite or two and then maybe pop on over the PHS pop up right across the street for a drink!

Tio Flores came through on a busy Sunday a few hours before kick off. We were lucky to get a table for 4 since there were a few reservations being held around the time that we arrived. Our sodas and beers were quick to come out and our food was not far behind. The vibe was right and the service was friendly. This is not your typical cheesy Mexican food, it was like a fresh kick where the nachos had bright colors and pickled peppers on top with a tasty crumbly cheese rather than your typical nacho goopy cheese (which I love, but it's nice to change it up)! There was a bar with a couple of TVs, looked like there were about 12 barstools, so we didn't miss a minute of the earlier games. I would recommend Tio Flores to anyone looking to step it up from your typical sports bar.

Ordered on doordash with a zero dollar delivery fee which was amazing. You also get a $10% discount. The food came pretty fast. I've past by it on my way home from work and it look like a cool place. Would definitely go back in person.

Everything about this place is just heavenly. We come here every Sunday night after church with my sister Jeorgia. Pro tip, sit at the bar if the bartender with the curly hair is working. He is friendly, attentive, and always has something great on the TV and speakers. I recently moved to the area and you can't any Mexican food this good back home in Bontemps, Louisiana. We love coming here!

Dined with a few girlfriends one evening after an impromptu meet-up at the pop up garden down the street. It was a perfect spot to grab some tacos after and end the night with a margarita! The staff was super fun and the food was great. Oddly enough the wings were insanely good. You wouldn't expect that from a Mexican joint.

Cute little place with good food and awesome margaritas. My table ordered the mango guacamole and churro donas to share. The guacamole was good but those churro donas were my favorite! Warm, fluffy and is a delicious goodness. Kinda wished that I had some vanillas ice cream on the side . For myself I got the pescado tacos (fish) and the guava margarita and it waa delicious. Their guava margarita is one of the best I tried in a long time. My friend initially ordered the mango but for the second round she ordered the guava after she tried mine. The restaurant also has this house hot sauce that is really good if you like spicy because it is spicy! My friends and I came along with a big group that pretty much took over the whole restaurant. We appreciated their willingness to accommodate to our crazy needs aka a bazillion individual checks. Overall a winner for me and will definitely go back. And oh they did automatically add gratuity on their check but they did let us know.
