Tio Chucho

My fiancé and I were craving some Mexican food so we came here and got seated immediately. The place does smell like cigarettes so I'm not sure if it's cause of the smoke shop next to it. We got our food pretty fast and it was really delicious, our server was very attentive for our drinks and we got refills pretty fast.

We got fajitas and shrimp for two to go. Very good portions and everything tasted good. Lots of grilled onions too. Tortillas were thin, but good. Green sauce was ok, chips were good! I'd get it again.

Been here a couple times Food is great love the tacos and their chips with Queso is a great appetizer as well. But the churros always hits the spot. Great friendly service. Never disappoints.

We've been coming here for over a decade and it's an awesome Tex-mex spot. Staff is always friendly and they are always on point

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the northwest Houston area, and much more affordable than places like Pappasitos.My favorites here are the enchiladas suizas and the stuffed poblano pepper. The enchiladas suizas has an amazing green sauce that pairs perfectly with the chicken. The portion is huge, so I usually share with someone or have leftovers the next day. The stuffed poblano pepper has a beautifully tangy kick in the red sauce, which makes the pepper and the ground beef inside taste delicious. The serving is quite large, so I usually just get this ala carts and eat for lunch. My kids love the queso flameado with fajita beef. It can be a little on the greasy side, but the cheese and beef in a nice flour tortilla is very comforting.I have ordered the beef fajitas before and did not care for them. The beef was not as tender as I prefer and had a lot of fat and some overly chewy bits. I didn't dock them on this as the items I previously mentioned more than make up for it, but I would stay away from the fajitas.

I really enjoyed the food here. They delivered my meal (Steak a la Mexicana) piping hot and very tasty! Service was polite and food came at a very reasonable time; we had a party of 11 people and everyone had their meals served hot within 15 minutes. Being from San Diego I am used to many types of Mexican food. The salsas here were not as good as what is in California and the tortilla chips are very thin. Because of that I rated Tio Chucho 4 stars but it is a restaurant worth going back to in the future.

Food is garbage and staff on a Tuesday night we're not pleasant. I had the chalupa and it looked like a pile of mess.... Didn't taste very good as I kept tasting a rancid flavor. My husband had taco al carbon and the meat was tender. He says the rice and beans were gross. Salsa will instantly tell you if the food is good.... It was also garbage. This was a total fail all around. Will not be coming back unfortunately.

My Husband and I wanted to try some good authentic Mexican food, and we were also looking for something near our new neighborhood. We both enjoyed our meal and margarita. I tried a flank steak with rice and veggies. My hubby got the fajita plate with chicken and beef. We also tired their margaritas that was also very tasty. The customer service and food was great, and we will be back for more

Food is great. Awesome music. Most waiters are awesome - just one jerk. Excellent margaritas!
