I cannot believe I have not reviewed this gem of a spot. This spot is MY fav spot for coffee in Miami. The cafe con leche iced is perfection. It's $5.I love the overall vibe of this spot. They have empanadas and pastelitos. They recently won a Michelin bib.Highly highly recommend this spot. Easy parking. Great service. A great vibe !

A small and cozy cafe that has little seating indoors but is totally worth the wait. The pastelitos and the sandwich we ordered were so good. I wish I could have brought one home for all my family to try. I'd highly recommend this spot for brunch or lunch!Service was great too - they gave us recommendations based on our needs and we're very accommodating.

Okay this is the lowdown...A bustling little joint, walk up window or indoor seating. This is a sandwich place for sure, so of course I had to try one of their sandwiches. And it was fire! Ordered the small and it was plenty. The crunch, the onion with chicken and cheese and their special hot sauce mixed in... 10/10. Their iced latte came foamed and was legit pretty darn good if you like a darker espresso flavor. Loved their no technology/cyber zombie zone preference, and guess what, people were actually chatting! So not your study place but definitely a niche lunch/coffee place to grab a yummy bite!

Tinta y Café is one of my favorite spots in Miami. As someone who doesn't eat pork, I appreciate that they offer turkey options, eggs for breakfast, and chicken add-ons for salads, which is often hard to find at Cuban cafés. Their empanadas are delicious, and the coffee is among the best I've had for a Cuban spot in Miami. The small café has a lovely, inviting aesthetic that makes it a nice place to relax. There's also a convenient little cute pickup window which perfect if you're in a hurry and gives the traditional Cuban ventanita vibe. Don't skip the guava jam they serve with the Cuban bread for breakfast! Great service, lovely ambiance, easily on the top of my miami go to spots.

Had a good experience here, minus the seating situation. The café is small so seating is near impossible to find. The sandwiches were lovely. All of their sandwiches come with a mini bag of plantain chips. I especially enjoyed the jardinera! I got a pineapple fresh juice but it wasn't worth the price in my opinion. The cordadito was excellent.

Quaint little place with great food. We went with our two boys and they accommodated us but not ideal for kids. It's small so a stroller cannot fit if needed. The coffee was delicious, the pastries were warm which was a nice touch, the croquettes were ok, the sandwiches were amazing. This is the kind of place where you expect quick bites and to be in and out but with the ability to sit and enjoy a little. The problem was we were sitting around a little too long. The service was very slow, they were nice but slow. The sandwiches took forever to get to us, we wanted to cancel the order but they said they just put it on the grill. They do have a ventanita if you want to grab and go; however, not sure how long that wait would be either. Overall really yummy food but service can be quicker.

Went here for lunch and a coffee for a business meeting. There was a wait and we were seated in about 10 to 15 minutes. I had a chai tea and empanadas (spinach, chicken and beef). They were decent. I'm a little sad that the moment I paid, the server told us they had a wait. I wasn't even done with my tea or empanadas. I love that this place discourages using phones and computers and encourages conversations.

This review is for the pop up restaurant that is in this location in the evenings. The service was top notch! Friendly, informative, professional and efficient. The food was Michelin star quality! Everything was incredible. Probably the best meal I've ever had! Everything is locally sourced (as much as possible). We ordered a glass of wine and a local beer. For appetizers we ordered the Almaco Jack Crudo. It was amazing! They use a hot coal to rub on the edges of the fish that gives it a Smokey flavor. Absolutely incredible! We also ordered the Canaveral White Shrimp Chawanmushi. It's several layers! The shrimp was amazing! The egg custard at the bottom was a bit too salty for my taste, but my son thought it was perfect. Finally, we ordered the Grilled Sebastian Oysters. I'm not a big oyster fan, but I could eat these everyday! Grilled with a brown butter chimichurri sauce and ramp purée and fried hazelnuts- this was perfection. Set in the shells, on a rock and shell bed, the presentation was beautiful. For dinner we ordered the smoked swordfish. I like swordfish, but it's not my favorite because it's not as soft as most fish. Not in this case. This was the softest, most flavorful swordfish I've ever had! They slow cook it for about 30-40 minutes. It goes on a low flame the minute we put our order in and slowly cooks the entire time we're enjoying our appetizers and drinks. Set atop moujean tea turnips, caramelized baby fennel, and wilted spinach, this dish will never disappoint even the toughest critics. Our bill was not that bad either. There is a 20% service charge, but this does not all go to your server! It's split 4 ways, so your server is only getting a 5% tip. Please tip your server cash on top of the service charge.I would love to return and try the spiny lobster. I highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner!

Love this place for coffee! I haven't sat inside before or tried any food, but I love they have a window you can walk up and get some coffee quickly. I live nearby and it's a great place to swing by on my way out. It always looks very busy inside so I will have to try and sit down one day!

Everything about Tinta y Café is lovable. From the atmosphere, the food, the people--this unsuspecting gem located in the calmer parts of Coral Gables is a little treasure, especially for the locals. Complete with a ventanita and a small indoor seating area reminiscent of a book store, and a menu ranging from delicious homemade croquetas to Cobb salad to picadillo, Tinta y Café is the perfect spot for a solo dining experience at their bar or a catch-up with the girls. A plus? The parking situation. They offer a parking lot and luckily in this area of Coral Gables, they also offer plenty of street parking as well -- just be sure not to park in an area that requires a permit. My favorite items from Tinta y Café are the iced cafe con leche, the spinach croquetas, their salads and their picadillo.Service is kind and to the point. Go there often enough and they will remember you!Tinta y Café is a must try!
