We popped in at this small restaurant off of 105 when we were checking out new locations to eat. I've lived in the area for 20 years but just ran across this inconspicuous building. I was excited to see that they offered El Salvadorian foods because I have been searching for a specific tamale which I used to purchase from a lady nearby that were homemade.I tried there tamales however it was not a match for the elusive one which I used to purchase. However, I tried something new called a Pupusa and fell in love! They offer them in pork, chicken, zucchini, beef, and other varieties but it doesn't matter which one you choose, it will be the most awesome thing you have ever put in your mouth! My friend who was eating with me is from Mexico City and she said that the reason it was so delicioso was because it uses a cheese that is specific to salvadorians which is made from cow CREAM, as a starter rather than MILK.While I am still on the hunt for the recipe of the elusive Christina tamale which was made with white Mesa, rectangular, and wrapped in a banana leaf, and I did not find it at this adorable cucina, I will definitely be back to try other El Salvadoran treats. They also have a bakery at another location. I have attached photos of the menu which included the prices for the restaurant and bakery, as well as photographs of the food which we sampled.

Warm, fluffy, DELICIOUS pupusas...FINALLY! Luck was on my side and I'm so happy we found this wonderful little Pupuseria. The owner was super sweet and the service was very friendly. These pupusas were all delicious! I ordered a variety to go: Revuelta, Chicken, Squash, Bean, Loroco and my family gobbled them up! $1.95 each. The Curtido had a hint of spice and the tangy dressing was the cherry on top. Perfect picnic or boat food, or sit in front of the TV food! I promise you they're the absolute best pupusas. I will be back!

Absolutely loved this spot! My boyfriend is Salvadoran and he just recently moved to Conroe with me so we were on the hunt for a good place for pupusas in the area and this place did not disappoint us at all, in fact we were shocked at how good it was. I am currently talking myself out of going there for lunch to get the pollo con tajadas. Everything we tried was amazing. I will be going back, quite possibly in a few minutes.

Doesn't look like much, but MAN this place RULES! Very good fajita pupusas! We also got empanadas (don't judge me, I've never had them before) and I'm happy to say I'm a fan :D

I was surprised that the parking lot was empty considering this place has good pupusasand empanadas con crèma. The pupusas had a great masa to meat ratio which was a great balance to a perfect bite. The tamale was soft and very tasty. I'd definitely recommend this place as I can definitely see myself as a regular customer!

Why 4 stars? Because the pupusas were exactly what I was hoping for. --- --- ---I had only tried pupusas once, and barely even remembered the experience. But once I discovered this restaurant on Yelp, I knew I wanted to try it. It was hard to find the time because the hours listed on Yelp said it was only open on weekends, but it turns out, they recently changed their hours and are now open Wednesday-Sunday.Out of everything I ate, the pupusas were, by far, the best. All of them were great: the steak, chicken and pork.We also ordered the carne asada, which is listed as #6 on the menu. It was basically a skirt steak with rice, beans and a salad. The steak was okay -- a little tough and too done, but overall it hit the spot. The salad had no dressing to my knowledge, which was weird. The rice and beans were fine.Lastly, we finished with some banana bread, which was nice, but definitely not very sweet. I should probably eat more desserts like this that are less sugary, but I'm kind of addict at this point, so I do wish this had a little more of a sweet bite to it.Overall, this was a cool experience and I see why the ratings are so strong.
