Three key cafeThe cafe was open at 9 on a Saturday, but during weekdays its open by 7 though. Located inside the historic Finn Hall building, this coffee shop is at the very entrance. They supposedly get a small batch of 6 bagels freshly made ... and he had two remaining....hmmm.....maybe possible considering the crowd in downtown on a Saturday is very limited. He knew what we meant exactly when we mentioned cafe au latte and he custom made the coffees for us with a shot of espresso, cream and milk. I got mine with almond milk. We also got that 'limited' bagel with cream cheese. Both were good. If you are in the area, it should definitely be on your schedule to stop by the Finn Hall.

"Three Keys Coffee Bar: A Java Gem in the Heart of Houston."I recently embarked on a caffeinated pilgrimage to Three Keys Coffee Bar in Downtown Houston, and let me tell you, it was well worth the detour! Nestled within the culinary wonderland that is Finn Hall, this java joint is a hidden gem that deserves all the buzz (pun intended).First off, I must commend the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Three Keys. It's not every day that you encounter a team so genuinely passionate about their craft. They're like coffee connoisseurs with a Ph.D. in bean brilliance. Their enthusiasm is infectious, and they're more than happy to guide you through the menu, helping you navigate the vast world of coffee with the grace of a seasoned barista. Now, let's talk about the coffee. Brace yourself for an explosion of flavor that will make your taste buds break into applause. I'm convinced that Three Keys has some sort of secret coffee alchemy going on behind the counter. Each cup is a symphony of rich, robust notes that'll make you question every mediocre cup you've ever had. I traveled out of my way for this, and trust me, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.Three Keys Coffee Bar is not just a pitstop for caffeine; it's a destination for the discerning coffee explorer. The staff's expertise, the mouthwatering coffee, and the vibrant atmosphere of Finn Hall make it a trifecta of caffeinated perfection. If you're in Houston, make it a point to swing by - your taste buds will thank you, and your coffee standards will forever be elevated. Cheers to Three Keys!

A coffee bar kiosk in what we found to be a quiet little cafeteria. We originally arrived at this location desiring some Southern Comfort from Carol Kay's. I quickly and presumedly dismissed the bar. It was unassuming...like any other coffee bar with the toys and showy-ness, but likely lacking the beans and experienced staff. Nevertheless, I said "what the hell" and walked over to get a shot of espresso...I was mistaken, and glad to be wrong.I'm still learning how I like my espresso. I can't really comment on the espresso other than I very much enjoyed it; enough to order a bag of beans to pull shots at home. With the little I know, I enjoyed the rich and dark espresso which went well with our heavy breakfast. I also purchased a cold brew to-go. I love a fresh medium or dark roast cold brew. The current trend is old light roasts with the acridly acidic and "fruity" flavor profile. Most cold brews I get are as such. However, Three Keys did a wonderful job brewing a solid medium roast cold brew that has the rich and smooth dark chocolatey goodness that I prefer. I brew my own at home and thats what I'm always shooting for. Job well done by Three Keys Coffee. The highlight, even more than the spectacular coffee, the staff! They were absolutely a pleasure to converse with. I didn't feel belittled or put down. They were humble yet very passionate and informative. Not your typical arrogant coffee snob/aficionado behind the bar. Lovingly infatuated with the world of coffee, and wanting to share with anyone who will listen. I'm a bit of a coffee snob myself, always in a mood to listen, learn and talk coffee. Thanks guys for the insight, delicious espresso and reviving cold brew.

Absolutely love this place! It's located at the entrance of the Finn food hall and has plenty of seating available nearby if you want to sit down to study/do some work. The food hall has wifi so it works out! I've only had their iced matcha latte but it's great! You can adjust the sweetness level (like tell them if you want it more or less sweet) and they're very happy to adjust accordingly. They also have bags of coffee beans available for purchase. I've never had them personally but a co-worker purchased a bag and recommended them!

I'm not a big coffee drinker so while I've been aware of Three Keys Coffee because it is also available in some major retail stores but I don't drink enough coffee to make a purchase of their roasts worth it. I was extremely pleased to get a chai latte today - they also serve matcha lattes if that's your thing. Staff was awesome. They checked in on my milk preference since I didn't give one initially. And they worked quickly and were friendly. The chai latte had a great taste and what I loved best was that I could consume it immediately. No burning of the tongue and spoiling my experience. I finished it quicker than I expected and enjoyed the lingering flavor. There were several people grabbing coffee even mid-day so not sure how long lines can get but it's definitely worth a try in you're in the downtown area.

Three Keys Coffee Bar is located in Finn Hall. Its one of the food halls that has popped up in downtown Houston over the last decade that has seen success. It can get pretty loud in there during the lunch rush but certainly a place that you can grab coffee and grab a seat by the window for a break to people watch. Much better than the starbies across the street. The coffee they use just has a smooth flavor you can't get at the big chain. I was hesitant at the beginning but it's been a great switch for me. This is my go-to coffee shop in the downtown area for some time now. Their iced lattes are so yummy and have just the right amount of sugar and milk to balance with the coffee. Service can be slower at peak times or with bigger groups but if you've got an extra few minutes, it's well worth the wait.
