The Wiz Café

This is a fairly new brunch take out spot. Its a little far from me in North Philly, but it was definitely worth the drive! The staff was friendly and the spot was pretty clean. Now onto the food- I dont know if I was extra hungry or if it was extra good! LOL! I got the Ease on the Down the Road platter with french toast and sides! It was really tasty and fresh! I wanted to share with my co-workers but I decided I wanted it all for myself! :) I will definitely be back for more and may even try the tuna melt- It looks really good in the pictures. I think everyone should check them out! Thumbs up!!!!!

Very disappointed in my DoorDash order. I've heard okay things about this place so I was excited to give them a try since I rarely ever order breakfast food, but today was in the mood. I'm so mad that I didn't just cook breakfast myself.. Could've saved my money and the loss of my appetite. I don't even know where to start... Food was cold, scrambled eggs had shells in it, salmon patty was salty, fruit pebble French toast was weird as heck and tasted like meat for some reason, grits were bland. Just a big fat NO for me and I'm sorry but this is the worst breakfast I've had in a long time. Won't see me again!

The taste of the waffle sandwich probably 1 of the two star rating. Service was extremely slow & unreasonable! We basically waited nearly two hours for 3 waffle sandwiches. The original 3 sandwiches were ready alil over an after waiting, however it was so many people on the clock behind the counter, but not working that no1 was paying attention to who got what order & my order was given to the wrong customer. So it took another hour to remake.. We were never offered an apology for the long wait or mix up with orders. In fact I only learned of what happened because two coworkers were arguing over whose fault it was. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! But anyway- the sandwich looked very tasty, but it was moreso decent at best. The waffle was indeed over cooked, not sandwich ready. We also ordered a strawberry smoothie that was pretty good (earned the 2nd of the rating)This establishment is located in a very sketchy looking neighborhood, but I'm from Cali so locals may be used to the area. The outside & surrounding area looked like complete trash to me. The inside was HELLA small, but looked ok, much better than the outside that's for sure. Only two seats avail for dining, but this is NOT a place you'd wanna dine in-everything is LITERALLY at the front door. Way too pricey for the quality of service being provided. The staff wasn't very friendly or hospitable. I'm not sure how long this place has been around, but I'd have to say it's overhyped!Not worth my time nor my dime.

First time at The Wiz Cafe. Loved all the cool names for their dishes based on "The Wiz". It was a typical store front take out joint in the middle of the neighborhood. You can see all the cooks as they prepare your order. I was surprised that all of the cooks were men. I ordered the salmon rolls with the Parmesan crinkle fries. It took about 20 minutes for the order to be ready. I was fine with that because I like to order my food upon arrival so it will be hot. The salmon rolls were very tasty. The salmon had a nice flavor. They were not salty, and the WIZ sauce added a complimentary flavor for dipping. The Parmesan fries were good- just the right amount of seasoning throughout the fries. Often times these specialty fries only have the taste at the top, but not these. The Wiz Cafe got it right. I didn't have a taste for their breakfast, but I will try that another time and let you all know. They have a small fridge next to the order counter. I tried the freshly squeezed Blackberry lemonade. It was ok. It could have been a bit sweeter. The next time you are in the Kingdom of North Philly, ease on down road to The Wiz Cafe.

Small cute restaurant in North Philly, pleasant cashier. I ordered a veggie egg white omelet and pancakes. My omelette was wet that was fine, pancakes were burnt in places I had to cut off the burnt parts. Here's my thing batter is cheap and pancakes don't take long to make throw the burnt pancakes away and make new b beautiful ones. I would try them out again I like the idea that they've put a beautiful place in a not so eye pleasing area. I recommend this place!! Oh! I also like that they have vegan options!

A cute little spot that keeps some kinds of health in mind. They serve no pork products, and make their pancakes with almond milk. Not to mention a Wiz themed menu!!! Love them!!

The food was delicious. It's take out only. We waited 5 minutes for our food. We thought we would have to wait longer because of the previous reviews, but that wasn't the case. We were just getting good into a conversation when the young lady called our names. Will go back again.

Omg!!! Most delicious shrimp and grits I ever had!! Sweet owners, everything is made fresh to order! Delicious!!

Very disappointed I ordered a grilled cheese, the cheese was not melted and the bread was not toasted - the bread was white! The salmon rolls and fries were soggy! The salmon bowl was dumped together. I wasted $147.90 on this place - it gave Never again, just like Pretty Girls Cook! They show their food one way on social media and you get trash in person....
