The Western Steakhouse and Dancehall

Tucked away on the southbound feeder road of route 6 in Navasota is one of the best restaurants for a good meal in a western atmosphere. This place is a great restaurant, a bar, and a dance hall. Its decorated in true Texas style, complete with wagon wheels, cow hides, Longhorns, and more. It's one of the most inviting atmospheres I've walked into. We had the catfish dinners. My wife said it's the best catfish dinner she's ever had. This place is ideal for date night. Live music, cold beer, good food, and friendly people. What more can a Texan ask for?

Pricier than I expected but hey beef ain't cheap. At 2:30 in the afternoon the place was quiet and the service was good. I had one of my all time favorites, chicken fried steak sandwich. It was excellent.

Great food and great service! Definitely recommend! Visited on a Friday afternoon and the steak finger basket was our favorite.

We went for a concert and it was amazing. It's a nice venue with a nice dance floor. The food was good with large portions however there was no choice. They served sirloin steak bites with twice baked potatoes and green beans.The band started at 8:00, played until 10:00, took a 20 minute break, came back and played for another hour.

Straight to the point:Over cooked, chewy, thin chicken breasts, small salad and 1 mediocre side for $18. Suggestions/ constructive criticism to the kitchen:-leave chicken breasts whole and cook it correctly. If I can do it, you can do it!-Use real butter instead of margarine for the baked potatoes. SO much better!-Use fresh oil for the fries. Old oil tastes like chemicals. Ain't nobody got time for that! -Use less hard pieces and cabbage in the salads. Green pieces = good. The Western is a cool place. Restaurant and bar in the front and big dance floor with bars in the back. They just need to find some better cooks. Years ago, this place was very good- consistently! This was my third visit in a row in the past year that I've left there feeling disappointed and still hungry.

I've been eating/drinking at The Western Club for years, the service has fallen during Covid and hasn't gotten much better. The last few times I've been there it's improved a lot, there is something different in the spice on Fried Shrimp and Catfish it's very good, good job TWC

Tonight me and my daughter Chelbi took our families to Western Steakhouse/Dancehall in Navasota for my oldest daughter Cheyenne's birthday, they charged me and my daughter (Chelbi) , an 18% fee for a split of 2 party's, 5 in one 3 in the other, whom we had told our waitress we were doing this beforehand a party of 8 FEE, mind you 1 at 8 I see, but 2 separate at 8 each, that's a double dip/double charge, then on top of that a 3.99 % admin fee??? Food, I was not impressed, dry mashed potatoes, hush puppies so hard we had to take our steak knife and saw them in half. Only good thing was our waitress Emily, great attitude, service and very sweet young lady. Would not recommend to anyone, better places out there with better food I'm sure and a manager that doesn't need a refresher course on their people skills...When I questioned her on the fee, her comment was "Oh places all over charge this for party's of 6 or more..." Guess what? Brenham does not have one restaurant that charges this fee to a split party or an admin fee...I don't mind paying for GOOD food and GOOD staff and I never complain about places, this is a 1st for me to leave a bad review/complaint...Avoid this money hungry customer gouging place....

To put it in a nutshell: Bad service, overpriced and the food was greasy/burnt. Be mindful this is the second time we have eaten here and the first was an exact carbon copy of the last. To the point I politely mentioned something to the waitress and it went in one ear and out the other.

The environment of the restaurant is cool and nice and the services is ok! The biggest complaint is the prices and the food. The food was not good at all. Very sad for a place like this that calls it's self a steakhouse. The cheapest steak starts at $35. Prices are extremely high and food is not good at all. Sad I paid $50 for a bad meal when I can go to Texas Roadhouse and get a amazing meal for $30. I would skip this restaurant.

Well everyone check your receipts when purchasing anything at Western Steakhouse. Picked up a to go order today, paid cash, got home steakbites overcooked and dry, mushrooms greasy as all get out,so got thrown away) roll looked like it had been around awhile (didn not eat). Then I looked at my receipt, I was automatically charged 10% gratuity !! And on the bottom of the receipt it says that 10% will be added for parties of 8 or more. I was 1 person with a too go order.i ha already put a tip in the jar for the waitress when i picked up my food. I do not patronize places that automatically add tips. I am done, last time here.
