I've only been here twice. Restaurant consists of 2 floors. The top floor is dining and the bottom is the zero proof bar. There isn't a spot to stand for takeout as the bottom floor is a bit congested and I didn't see a host to seat us (it's why I got takeout). I am pretty sure they don't allow outside alcohol since their whole take is zero proof drinks. So you may want to call ahead if that's something you may want to do. The first time I visited it wasn't easy to get anyone's attention so I didn't think the service would be quick. I opted t take out a milkshake. It came out quick but was about $10 for just that. It was good but not $10 good. Know what I mean? The second time I went, it was deliberately on a weekday night to give it another whirl. The bartender was in a conversation with the only 2 patrons at the bar about a bottle of non alcohol. She didn't acknowledge me when I came in, even when I stood there, waiting. All I wanted was a quick, "I'll be right with you". I decided to go elsewhere and left. I feel that post pandemic the service industry has greatly declined. I don't mind crappy service at a fast food place but at a place that is expensive, I expect at least to be acknowledged. I can't imagine what dining in would be like if the best of the employees have likely earned a spot at the bar. :( Will I return? Highly unlikely, especially because it's a bit of a drive for me.

My husband picked this place because he's pescatarian and eats fake meat. He had the filet mignon and it was surprisingly really good. He also had seitan wings which were good (not his favorite), but he really enjoyed the sauce. Dry bar concept - it's interesting. It's like a great mixer. Flavors are there on some drinks but not all. WARNING: If you are allergic to soy, do not come here as the options are very limited. Me personally loves to eat meat, so I tried the wings and the flavor is there, but the texture is off. Not saying that it tries to convert, but fake meat still isn't my thing. Overall it's a quiet little place, with an interesting concept, and service was decent. I would not go back, but my husband would in a heart beat. There are no prices on the menu, I was surprised for the total was $156, with the filet costing $47. Never eaten at a place like this, but I do feel like prices are on the higher side.

I came here a few years ago and wasn't sure what I felt. I loved the idea of a vegan place so near the organic Couch Tomato. There is a bar down stairs and plenty of tables upstairs. They have a large selection of non alcoholic spirits. I got the Out of Office. All the pleasure, none of the sin. The bac'n cheese tots were like tater tots. Hot & crispy. I just wanted to keep eating them. I haven't had bacon since the Nixon administration but it triggered the memory. My southwest 'Yunker burger was quite good. Hot as expected, but not too hot. In short. I'm coming back a lot.

I was excited to try Volstead because I am vegan and this is a vegan restaurant. It is rather pricey, which would be fine if the food was good, the decor pleasing and the service attentive. This was 0 for 3. First, the food was awful. I had to force myself to eat any of it. My wife, who is not vegan, also had to force herself to eat a few bites of what she ordered. We took home most of it in hopes we could do something to make it edible. We couldn't. We ending up tossing it. Second, the decor is nothing special. Finally, the waitress was friendly and nice but took forever to take our order. The nonalcoholic drinks were interesting. I don't drink alcohol and was interested in what they did with them. I enjoyed my drink, but would have enjoyed it more if the food had been better.

This place is a dry bar located on Main Street in Manayunk. I like the idea of a social place where you don't have to put toxins such as liquor in your body. This is definitely a good alternative from the countless bars in Manayunk. The cocktail presented tasted amazing. The spicy margarita was the perfect amount of spice without being overpowering. I really like the bitter that was used and the bartender graciously made sure it was the correct amount of spiciness for me.

Great service. Excellent NA cocktails.Charging $18 for a small bowl of sauteed bok choy and undercooked beets is absolutely ridiculous.

I went here on a date super excited for NA drinks and healthy plant based food. The drinks were surprisingly great, but it's more of a restaurant than a bar to chill and mingle at. 95% of the food contains processed soy. I had been hoping for creative whole vegetable choices. We got the bruschetta which was not toasted but was $18. Of course there's always salad but that's available everywhere. The staff were super formal and polite. Tip is already included and there are no prices on the menu. Not for me, but I'm sure others might appreciate the vibe.

A unique and mission-based addition to Main St that serves zero proof drinks (that taste real though) and vegan food. We came here to throw our friend a little sprinkle, which was perfect so we could enjoy some specialty drinks altogether. As someone who enjoys cocktails and eats meat, I still had an enjoyable experience, especially with the kind service. The one con we experienced was the cleanliness - our table was sticky upon arrival and many of our water glasses had to be returned due to being dirty.

Highly recommend. I'm not vegan, but this place had amazing vegan food and I'm kinda picky lol. Everything on the menu is great, especially the sliders. If you're into bitters and kombucha, definitely try the non alcoholic drinks. I think they have a gray range of non alcoholic drinks. I loved the peach gimlet but it was a special. The vibe is lively and fun, despite what you might think of a non alcoholic place. Love the mission of this place!!

It hurts me to say this, but this food was simply not good. As a vegan, I was so excited about this restaurant and wanted so badly for it to be delicious. Unfortunately it was not. To start, the system in place, in my opinion, sucks. I hate ordering food on my phone, it takes away from the dining experience. If you're going to charge for upscale dining, and include a 20% gratuity, then there should be servers at every table who that 20% is largely going to. I don't want to pay an extra 20% when I'm ordering from my phone. I will say, in our situation, the owner took our orders and he was very kind and understanding. My mother is on a very strict diet and can't eat a lot and he helped us navigate the menu. Onto the food. The meatballs were okay, they had a good concept, but the meatballs were too large and ended up being dry and dense. The sweet potato gnocchi was just not great. It felt like tater tots or mushy sweet potatoes and the sauce was way too salty. It also said it came with broccolini, which I'm not sure if it turned yellow from being over cooked or if it had gone bad. We also got the mushroom ravioli. It was just bad. I told the owner after eating it that this was simply not ravioli. They were more like pirogies if anything. I appreciate that they were gluten free, and that can make cooking more difficult, but don't advertise it as something it simply is not. The plating and the portions were just unimpressive and disappointing at the price point. After all of that we decided not to get desert and both had uneasy stomachs after our meal. Again, I want for this restaurant to succeed and improve. I love eating out and dining experiences. This restaurant has so much potential but the kitchen and menu need to step it up.
