We live 3 hours away and went to this "resort" as a weekend getaway. We thought it was a good idea to book a 1 night stay at The Villa and a reservation at the restaurant. I mean, who needs a 1 day break from their 18 month toddler? We arrived at check-in with no one to greet us, then chose to spend 2 hours at the tasting room to kill some time before our dinner reservation. At the tasting room, we paid for the premium experience, yet treated to the regular tasting services because they ran out of "premium" tasting glasses. Meanwhile, several tables around us had the so called premium experience (above and beyond just the glass). Based on our experience, you better dress and look the part or you won't get want you paid for. We finished our so called premium tasting and went back to check-in. After some escape room clues, we figured out how to check into our room since the inn-kepper left for the day. Dinner at the Villa was great and we can't knock them for that but in general WTF....

We've stayed here for the weekend twice now and have really enjoyed ourselves. With the stay, you get breakfast, one wine tasting & tour each, and a glass of wine and cheese plate in the bar each night you stay. The Innkeeper and staff are great. The walls are a bit thin, but it doesn't seem to be a loud, party crowd. We have stayed in the Messina Room (2nd floor) and Romeo & Juliet Room (1st floor). Both were large rooms with large bathrooms and king beds. We were very happy in both, but the bed is a bit hard for me. Also, the rooms have beautiful stained glass windows over the door, but they let light in at night, which can be annoying. The breakfast has a nice spread of cheese, fruit & muffins, and an entree-there is only one choice for entree, so if you don't like what they are serving you must make do with the continental offerings. They also have coffee, juices, and mimosas. This place is beautiful and really feels like a getaway. I'm sure we will be back.

We stayed at the Villa during the Aggie Parents Weekend and enjoyed our stay. Our second floor room was excellent - with a covered balcony that faced the woods. Sipping a glass of Messina Hof wine on the balcony and watching the rain was a great end to our day. The next morning the cardinals and blue jays were on branches almost close enough to touch as we enjoyed our coffee. Our spacious room had comfortable antiques and many of the pieces had a story that tied to the six generations of family wine masters. One thing that wasn't an antique was the flat screen tv and cable channels for plenty of sports and entertainment viewing. A couple of nice touches - the complimentary wine and cheese that we enjoyed on the patio of the winery and the breakfast buffet. Jean, the friendly hostess of the villa puts out a nice spread of sweetbreads, fruit and a home cooked hot entree. We had Sunday brunch at the restaurant on the property. I won't review it here except to say that you won't be disappointed if you eat there. If you spend any time on the property you will meet the owners Merrill and Paul who definitely will make you feel welcome. And don't miss the winery tour - also complimentary for guests of the Villa. This is a great and relaxing place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Nice setting right next door to the winery, small lake right behind with a walkway that leads to a gazebo, nice and relaxing. The BB had good food nice clean dining room setting, elegant well kept, OK the room, we where given the Romeo & Juliet room, NOT impressed, carpet had multiple bleach stains(dime size and smaller), one of the drapes had burn marks, bathroom had broken features, and the light fixtures by the bed had multiple broken pieces. If I had to give it a hotel star rating, Room 2 1/2, Dinning 3.75 Have pictures, always do.

We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely B&B this weekend. It was a wonderful and we plan to return when the outside temperature isn't as close to the surface of Mars. It was too brutal outside to enjoy the patio, but it was QUITE comfortable in our room. I loved the soaking tub, the scented bath toiletries, and the soft, thick towels. Breakfast was tasty. And our hostess was such a sweetheart! We really enjoyed ourselves.

Lancelot. Not Antoinette. The Antoinette is an upstairs corner room with a balcony overlooking the turtle pond. Lancelot is downstairs. Lots of windows. No outside access. Both rooms are nice. We booked Antoinette, but because of a temperature control glich, we were moved. Mrs Jean is the Inn Keeper. She's great! She and the staff provide an amazing breakfast spread. Muffins, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, juice. Today's hot dish was a bacon egg quiche with sundried tomato puree. Mimosas with MH sparkling are included, as well. Your stay includes a hosted tour of the property and a wine and cheese from the Wine Bar. This was our third stay. We will do this again.

I stayed at the Villa as part of a corporate retreat in the Venus Room. The decorations were very feminine and sweet, on brand with its namesake. The bathroom is large with both a shower and a soaking tub. The bed was cozy and comfortable. Great hospitality by the Innkeeper, Jean. The location is perfect, being right near the vineyard and their wine bar. I would definitely return on my own time.
