Korean fried chicken was just another thing on my list I've been wanting to try lately. My girlfriend recommended this place so we decided to grab some to go and try it out!The location is inside the H-mart food court so the ambiance is just okay, but I don't take any points away for this. The food took a little while to come out, probably well over 25 minutes. The chicken itself as well as the sauce was okay but it was lacking some of the crispiness I would expect from freshly fried chicken. Lastly, the price seemed to be a little on the high side for Korean fried chicken, especially of this quality.I wouldn't mind having ToreOre if I'm shopping at H-mart and need a quick bite but if I'm being honest it probably wouldn't be my first choice.

The one thing that amazes me about this place is the quality and consistency of their korean friend chicken whenever I come here. Whether it's been days, months, or years that you've been here or you've been waiting, the ToreOre does not lack anything in their food. With some small price changes and a selective menu, the ToreOre is one of the great places inside H-Mart to get good quality Korean Fried Chicken. The chicken are cut into good sized pieces, nice and juicy, along with a great selection of sauces to match them with. I always like the garlic one, such a classic sauce that is very tasty and flavorful. The side bowl of pickled daikon or radish is a perfect palate cleaner to the chicken aficionado. To be aware of parking, the restaurant is inside the food court of a grocery store, so plan ahead of time if you come to eat or take it to go. They also do phone orders! That helps saves a lot of time as well since it takes 15-20 mintues to make every single time. That's how you know it's fresh every single time!

This place used to be good, but they jacked up the price, and the quality of their chicken went down. I am unsure if they are cooking it differently or using different chicken, but their chicken is now very dry and not moist. The dark meat was fine, as always, but the other parts were not enjoyable to eat, and many of our guests also left that part of the chicken uneaten. I would recommend Choong Man over this place... not only is it cheaper, but it is also of higher quality and tastes better. Choong Man's whole chicken is ~$25, whereas this place is ~$30. Don't be misled by "14 pieces" at ToreOre, it's just one chicken chopped into smaller parts. Will not be back.

KFC. Not the colonel, but Korean fried chicken was pretty good. We ordered two flavors. Balsamic scallion and original hot. Both flavors were on point. Crispy, crunchy, fried and with a lot of flavor in every bite. The food was ready in less than 10 mins. We made good choices with the flavors, although I would like to try out all the flavors some day.

A piece of plastic in the mixture. Gross. Started packing it up for my lunch and now going to toss it all. So disappointing

This was one of the first Korean fried chicken places in land in Houston years ago before the KCF craze now in full swing. Located in H-mart food court, it's convenient for those who wish to grocery shop and take home a meal. After we ordered, we visited another place for an appetizer, and while fried chicken takes awhile to cook, ours was taking particularly long. I went to check back, and our chicken and fries had been boxed, and was sitting on the counter. Bummer. We were sitting a few feet away! I wish the employee would have waved at us or something to let us know our order was ready.Despite that, the chicken was tasty. The fried were meh... neither crispy nor seasoned. Would pass on those.

FYI, the chicken takes 15 minutes to prepare so plan accordingly. Pretty delicious Korean fried chicken. I got the soy garlic and enjoyed it (okay, fine, I devoured it). I like the spiciness chart on their menu -- very helpful. Also shows which flavors are the driest. Friendly service.

OKkkk, so I was in H-mart for hours between Friday and Sunday and neither time was this place busy. My friend told me The ToreOne fried chicken place has gone down. How sad because I definitely (1) had heard of it (2) had that bad boy bookmarked in Yelp! for the longest. Sunday, I saw someone with a smoothie that looked good and I asked them what it was. I decided to order me one, taro smoothie with boba. I asked the cashier about it, he offered to let me taste the powder for an idea about how it would taste. Did a little tongue dip and decided it was just ok but I was like still, let me try something new. Ordered it and waited about 5-7 minutes for it. The smoothie piece was a bit icier than I like but I presume because it didn't any fruit in it. But where they lose HELLA stars is the boba. I am no connoisseur of boba but I've had enough in my big age to know what it taste like and most definitely, what it shouldn't taste like. That boba ruined the whole drink for me! It was so tough and the wrong kind of chewy! Bleh bleh bleh, I did think to take it back but I didn't bother.

Definitely single fried, not double. It's basically just fried chicken with sauce on it now, except they don't use enough sauce, and they appear to have watered it down so the fry just sogs off by the time you get it home.I used to be able to get a medium and eat on it for a couple days and it would stay crunchy still, now I got it home and the breading is falling off and soggy and the sauce is almost flavorless and there isn't enough of it. On top of that you can't even order a medium or lg family sized portion, you get a 5 piece boneless, or various other sizes unless you want bones.Too bad, just skip it, get the chicken in the from the fresh food area by all the kimchi, that at least will be crispy when you get home. You can see in the picture the chicken isn't even covered in sauce and the skin is all wrinkly from being steamed and not crispy, and while there is sauce in the bottom of the container, if you've ever had the honey BBQ here before, you know how brown it's supposed to be and it's at best a pale amber.$30 wasted on food not worth eating.
