The Tipsy Boar

Loved this bar near Young Circle in Hollywood. Many choices for food in this area but wanted to look at this restaurant/bar with an interesting name, The Tipsy Boar. There were many craft beers to choose from and handmade pizza with crazy good sliders. Will return soon.

Pub Crawl - 1st stop...Parked on Harrison Street and saw a cool patio bar for happy hour from 4p - 6p - $2 off all craft brew and $8 apps. Walked in and sat at the bar and met with the bartender, Anthony, who gave us some food options and recommended highly the Sliders - pork belly, pulled pork and cheeseburger. We loved all three.We ordered the Watermelon Martini and the Tipsylicious 3Sons. Crazy delish both drinks. They have a big chalk board on the wall with forty craft tap beers.They also have a gas oven pumping out pizzas. The bathroom had beer decor on the walls and was spotless.

We ordered the goat cheese and thyme croquets. Amazing!!!Then the caprice salad best we've ever had!Finally the crudiola pizza but we added pineapple so delicious!! Service was great

Came here about a year ago ordered the goat cheese croquettes and it was delicious they serve it with an apricot jam super yummy. Perfectly fried not greasy filling is yumm, I love goat cheese. Drinks are good and decently priced. Service is great! Atmosphere is family friendly it is an all around good spot, for food, drinks, and anything in between

We were a underwhelmed by this place after choosing it based on the reviews -- but maybe we just ordered the wrong things. We went on a weeknight after getting in from a long flight. It wasn't busy and we sat outside on the side patio area which was nice and private from the street and was very clean with tons of TVs if you are trying to watch a game. The service was slow out on the patio however. They have a good beer selection. We ordered Sweet Potato Waffle Fries and the Mac & Cheese with Pork. They came out at the same time and I like when my appetizer and entree came out separate. The sweet potato waffle fries were bland and tasted like something you'd pull out of your freeze and bake in your oven. The sauce of the Mac & cheese was really good, but the pork was bland and didn't add much to the dish.

I got my food to go ( mahi sandwich $15.99 ) because I had a busy day so I figured I'd have some healthy protein. It probably only sat in the box for 10-15 min. Although the food they were bringing out looked good, I was not impressed with my selection. The fries were half crunchy, half soggy. I did like how I got the veggies & sauce on the side so I can prep it myself since I'm picky with the fillings, however, the bread was super thick & half soggy ( it was all coming apart ), and the mahi mahi barely had flavor. I ended up tossing half of what I paid for, I just picked on the fish, tomato & lettuce.As a sandwich person, I'm only giving this a 2 out of 5 because the staff was nice.

I was happy to see several vegetarian options on the menu. I chose the beyond burger with fries, but the beet salad also looked amazing, and they have several pizza options. We started off with the spinach artichoke dip, and it had a good breadcrumb crust on top, but it was a bit more liquid than I would have preferred. The beyond burger was good, maybe a little overcooked, but the fries were great! Service was nice and friendly. The ambiance was decent as well for a sports bar-type atmosphere. Parking was valet for $5 when we went on a Wednesday.

Very nice neighborhood bar, for the locals, and maybe some tourists. Huge beer selection that gets updated daily or weekly. Good selection of bourbon, scotch, and whiskey too. They have a nice menu too, I wouldn't just have dinner here, but it is good bar food. Lots of sports games on the many TVs. Great for dates and parties.

Anytime I go here, it's a great experience! Located in Harrison Street, there are two parking lots close by and street parking as well. Great sports bar with plenty of tvs to watch the games. Huge selection of beers on tap, a full bar, and excellent food options. While they have big plates, I keep going back to the apps and small plates. The staff is efficient, and get you seated quickly. Service depends on how busy they are. We were a party of six and sat outside. We ordered a good variety off of the menu and the standouts were the shrimp tacos, truffle fries, goat cheese and lamb croquettes.

Food, service, ambiance and location! This place has it all. You will leave happy and "fully satisfied!"
