The Taste of Brazil - Philadelphia

I was told about this place from a friend & Ive been hooked every since. I normally get takeout, but I have sat inside as well. They don't walk around w meat like other steakhouses. The flavor is good on the meats nonetheless thats all that really matters. The salad bar has some good options as well. I get the same items rice, sweet plantains, fresh salad, & chicken salad. Im a forever customer Ps once they had guacamole which I loved but I haven't seen it again :(

Went there the other day. I've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, and when I walked in I had no idea what to do. I asked three different staff at the door 'I've never been here what do I do, how does this work'. The one who actually spoke to me at all asked 'dine in or take out'. I made it clear I was wanting to do the dine in, so he said "You come in, sit wherever you want, go get a plate and fill up at the food bar, then you go over to the meat section (this counter they had where behind it all the swords with meats were cooking) and you get steak, then we weigh the plate and you go sit down and eat"I was weirded out because I thought at a Brazilian steakhouse they come around with the swords of meat to your table. And they do, but apparently not for me?Because I did exactly what the man said, and he gave me a number for my table. When I just chose anywhere to sit, I asked do we have to go get our own drinks from the fridge. It was THEN he asked 'oh we can get you a drink what do you want'.It was near the end of my first plate that I realized whatever service I was getting was very different from what it should be. I was the only table without a card holder to hold up my table number. The other tables got the actual service where someone walks around with the meats. Also because he specifically said steak, I thought that was the only meat they had at the moment. Would have loved to try their sausages and chicken they gave the other customers.I felt so... embarrassed and upset that I really wanted to try this place and was basically an afterthought. Because I said to three different staff members at the front "I've never been here before". And the fact that I was lied to on how it worked? As soon as I was done my plate, I wanted to get out of there, I wasn't hungry anymore, I was so embarrassed. The food itself was okay. The yuca stick was dry and cold, the 'pork' empanada was actually empty inside of filling, and for the only meat I was actually given I asked for rare and it was well done except for 2 bites which were medium-well. Which is a shame because on the bites that weren't chewy overdone, the flavor was good. I liked the farofa and honestly ended up just dipping all the food in that to eat it and get out of there.There was a nice woman at the end who actually offered dessert and explained them. I should have gotten the courage to ask about my unusually different dining experience, but I was just so upset that I got the flan and left. The flan was good. So in my mind I paid $30 for a piece a flan to be honest. I literally just went to another place immediately afterwards to actually have dinner.Would have loved to actual have the Brazilian steakhouse dining experience. Guess asking three times isn't enough.

I ordered food from them 3 times. Each time was the $40 family tray. As far of value, it's a very good value. You get a very good portion for the price. My issue was that the first time I ordered my beef medium, it came super well done and tough, the second time I asked for medium rare, again, super well done and tough. The third time, I ordered the beef rare, thinking to my self if it's undercooked, I can seat it at home a little, again, it came super well done and very tough. In all 3 times I was at the place waiting for my food to be ready, the meat was not waiting in a tray for a while.

Food here is always really good, especially for the price! The staff is generally friendly, though the language barrier has made some interactions a bit challenging. If you want some authentic Rodizio, this is the spot.

Wow! so while I have gone to a Brazilian restaurant previously, I wouldn't say I was familiar with Brazilian cuisine despite going to Chima and Fogo De Chão on a few occasions. When I walked into the restaurant the ambiance was more so take out style but it was a nice place to sit as well. Walking in right away you see the buffet of sides. Unlike the other chain Brazilian restaurants I have experienced the sides looked as if they could hold their on on my plate. They had variety of rice ,vegetables and salads that all looked quite fresh and tasty! I tried everything I could!Unknowingly ,I no idea where the meat was but I soon found out it was still being seared right behind a counter. It looked amazing I was slightly confused as to how everything was going to fit on my plate being that I had so many sides. I then was served each cut of meat that they had in the kitchen...Each piece was perfectly cooked and sliced on my plate.Once I sat down with what looked like a mountain of food ,I found myself suffering in front of my plate. The food was so delicious I couldn't stop! I was beyond stuffed. I knew I didn't want to take the food home because I just knew the flavors wouldn't be the same the next day. After eating as much as I could I had a taste of their mango strawberry fruit drink...Wow, the drink was so vibrant I could taste how naturally ripe the strawberries were as well as the mangoes. While this place may not look as fancy of Fogo de Chão the food here is definitely well above! Definitely a hidden Jem I need to go back and try their desserts !

Always good food to take out buffet food I think is a little costly but to take out like the Brazilian classic is perfect plenty of food meat for $15

Family box churrasco was a tasty meal for $35. We ordered pick up and it was ready within the hour. Came w:- plenty of RICE (can choose white or yellow; we chose yellow)- BEANS (can choose brown or black; we chose black)- SALAD(can choose chicken, potato or green; we chose green; beets were a nice addition) - MEAT (chicken, sausage and steak; steak was def our favorite esp the fatty thick pieces that held all the flavor though some may feel too salty). We also ordered a side of plantains ($5). All was still hot by time it got home. Nice easy family dinner. Will order again - Thank you :)

The food is simply amazing! The staff is. friendly. It's nice and clean and you're not too closed in!

Grate food, but some workers really need to mind their own business , this fking cashier said some bullshit that pissed me off

Amazing food, great atmosphere and price! The deserts are to die for it!!!! If you like a real steak that is the place to go!
