The Spot At Lake Somerville

Wow! The best find ever! If you are looking for a local favorite, perfect dive bar with the best food and friendly locals, then you have found your place! We had the bacon cheeseburger and patty melt, and they were both top-notch! We loved it so much that after our errands today, we're going back for more of the vibe and great service!!

Yes The Spot I believe it's owned by MARINE and you can compare to the Dixie chicken I would try and very enjoyable place to drink any Brinley folks and Gilgamesh

Doesn't look like much when you drive past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I stopped in. The definition of hole-in-the-wall. I got a regular cheeseburger and wow.... There are no words. A classic burger done right. Crisp bun, juicy patty, stuffed with all the essentials (Mayo , lettuce, tomato, and pickles). There is about a million options on the menu and some on the wall full of specials and desserts, so it can get a little overwhelming, but you really can't go wrong. Not much else to say besides go see for yourself! You won't be disappointed.

This is a hidden gem near Lake Somerville. We stopped by after leaving the park and we were too famished to venture very far. Like the other reviews have said, it's not much to look at, but their food is great! We started off with the fried pickles. They are definitely fried in-house and not from the freezer. The batter was a tad on the salty side, but otherwise delicious. My boyfriend had the breakfast burger with tater tots and I had the bacon cheeseburger with curly fries. Both burgers were mighty tasty and hefty enough that we ended up taking part of them with us for a snack down the road. I would definitely recommend this place. The waitress was sweet and attentive and the food and iced tea were a welcome stop on our way back home.

Found this little hole in the wall while fishing at lake Somerville. 100% family run business. The food was absolutely phenomenal and such a great price!!!!! We will definitely be back! Great service!

Went for quick dinner after a day at the lake 7/29/22 The place is rustic and has some charm. When you enter the bell reminds everyone to turn and look at the door. Awkward. We arrived at maybe the worst time. Seems like everyone had just arrived. It was crowded and we were hungry and wanted to get home. It was easy to see that the server was overwhelmed. It took a while for us to even get menus. We knew that we were not going to be leaving anytime soon. The place should be The Only Spot not the The spot. It is literally the only place for miles around. It took us over an hour and 15 for our dinners. Most of our 6 table group liked what they got. I ordered the CFS and it was just average. The mash was cool. The gravy tasted good but was warm. The CFS was ok but not something I would order next time. The salad I was given was tasty. Loved the country vibe of the place. I just think that service is so important to customers. We noticed the owner hanging out in the bar area smoking. The very good great thing is the pricing is very good. The beers are cheap and the food is reasonable. We spent $64.00 for 6 people for drinks and food without the tip. Great value but they should raise prices and maybe get some help.

After a rough day at Somerville we headed to the spot for some lunch and beer. Beer and food was cheap, and all the food was amazing. The mushroom swiss burger might be the best I've had. Definitely recommend!

Food is great, second time being here and it doesn't disappoint. Food is fresh every time and supper wallet friendly.
