Food 10/10Vibe 10/10Staff 10/10I've driven by this essentially my whole 31 years of life and finally stopped in this past Saturday bc our normal breakfast spot was packed. There was no wait , we ordered pretty quick and the food came out within 10-15min. The menu has plenty options ! I'm going back again soon

Five star diner that checks all MY boxes.I especially love the feeling of stepping back in time. I enjoyed my corned beef hash, but my wife's fried pork chop had too much breading. Overall a great spot to grab some grub and I would return again and again if I were in the area.

It is an Atlanta icon spot and I was nearby and decided to give it a go. The employees were lovely, friendly, and engaging. Definitely a five star situation, thereI ordered a traditional breakfast combo. Nothing too radical. I was very disappointed in one aspect of the platter. My expectation was a fresh, homemade biscuit complete with fluffiness and buttermilk instead, the biscuits were prefab food service items. The industrialized taste and coating on my teeth after biting into it was tip off. Darn it.

Upon entering we were greeted and sat immediately. Our waitress arrived shortly after to take drink orders. We had time to look and ask questions about the menu and place our order. Literally by the time we both came from washing our hands food came right out. This place is a well oiled machine. The food was good and service fast and friendly. Family friendly and vast menu options. No fancy grass wall or overpriced meals here just good food and service.

Exactly what you think of when you think "old-timey classic diner". Lots of history on the walls and besides that, you can tell it's been around and been loved. And add me to that list of people that love it. Food is delicious and it feels cozy inside while eating. A great way to start your day.

I adore the Silver Skillet!! There's also plenty of parking in the lot next to it so that is a rare win for an Atlanta restaurant for sure. Luckily, for small groups they have a decent number of 2 seaters so we were seated pretty easily but it's a popular spot, so expect a wait for sure. The inside is super vintage and it's cool to see all the memorabilia on the walls. Service is quick and the waitstaff is always so nice. On my most recent visit, my friend and I split an order of French toast, and then each of us got the Super skillet omelet with either toast and grits or biscuits and gravy. The eggs were cooked well and I loved all the veggies. My grits and toast were super buttery and delicious. Overall, always a solid breakfast spot!!

Oh boy. Silver Skillet will always hit each and every time. On the weekends, expect a wait and that's to be expected. Don't expect your aesthetic restaurant, but it does have an old time diner feel.Service is quick, fast, and reliable. Food for me is always so good and hot! The prices here just cannot be beat!My boyfriend ordered the Sausage & Egg Biscuit and I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy with Pork Sausage. We both split the pancake and it was so easily devoured with no complaints!

Really enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant. It's like a classic diner. There's a bar you can sit at if you're going solo. The wait time on the weekend isn't so bad. I've been here a couple of times and I always order their biscuits and gravy. Their menu has items you wish to see on menus everywhere else. The biscuits and gravy is vegetarian! From my experience it is extremely difficult to find gravy without any kind of meat. The gravy is most definitely made from mixing flour and butter - homemade style. The rest of their food seems to be homemade style (except for the fries, they are frozen). My fiancé ordered the chicken and biscuit and he thoroughly enjoyed how hot and fresh the chicken was. Pancakes = yum! The maple syrup is packaged but not bad. Restaurant provides veterans discount. There is a free parking lot next to the restaurant. Great customer service.Fun note: the black pepper comes out generously and is super fine - appreciate it!
