The Seahorse Steakhouse is a busy place. I knew there was going to be a wait when I saw the parking lot so full. When you arrive get your name on the list at the counter and stand around with the other folks waiting for a table and stare at the case of cakes that look so very good. I was there during the prime rib special that is two days a week and seems to be a popular choice from what I could hear. The other patrons were friendly while we waited. I'm not sure how long it took to be seated but when my name was called I was put into a booth.At the other tables and booths I noticed the waitstaff knowing the names of the other patrons so that is always a good sign. My waitress was friendly and gave some recommendations. I ordered a piece of cake to go first thing as I wanted to be sure I got a slice of the pig pickin' with the pineapple and mandarin oranges. Bread and hush puppies were brought out with my beverage. I was even offered more if I chose. I went with the filet mignon and shrimp as I couldn't decide between the two so went with an option on the menu to get both. I also got a baked potato and mac n cheese. The potato was huge. Both the filet and the shrimp were great as was the baked potato. I wasn't a fan of the mac n cheese as much so when I got full I was ok not finishing or taking that with me.I will be back the next time I am in Greenville, NC.

New here to NC! I wish I took photos of this feast! We had a creamy dip to start and prime rib, stuffed flounder and the sides are not an afterthought like at some places. Absolutely delicious homemade tasting meal. Friendly, friendly service. We each took home a different cake because we had no more room. Brought home leftovers too!! Can't wait to go back.

Food was very good. I had seafood and my husband had a steak. My sides were also very good. Mac and cheese and slaw. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. The dining area is comfortable with a cow motif. Updated and clean. Dessert is not overlooked! Great selection of cakes to bring home if you have no room after dinner. I had the Italian crème. We will definitely return again.

Good food, nice folks. Closest dining to Courtyard at ECU med. I see why is a local favorite. We enjoyed the ribeyes. They come on a sizzling hot skillet so my medium rare cooked a bit more but was still very good as medium. Good seasoning. Well worth he visit.

I took my mom for lunch after her doctors appointment and this place was full. This is a quaint establishment, the staff were very friendly and receptive and sat us as quickly as possible. Within seconds of being seated we had our drinks and the waitress was ready to take our order. It was impressive in a place that was so busy, they were waiting on us! Our food arrived piping HOT, fresh, and delicious! My mom even asked the waitress how they get the loaded mashed potatoes to stay so hot because they were still steaming when we packed up our leftovers! The whole restaurant was very friendly- even the patrons. This was a pleasant find and we will definitely be back!

This was our first time going and honestly I don't know how we didn't know about this place before?? We had the prime rib dinner for 2 and it was the best prime rib we've ever had. Juicy, tender, flavorful - so very good! And our waitress was super nice and friendly. It was the perfect first visit and we will definitely go again. Highly recommend!

Good come as you are place, love the prime rib for two. It is a Saturday special and has been extended to Friday also. Great cakes they have a Birthday cake that I've been bring my wife here for her Birthday for years just bring your own Birthday candle.
